Note: As I’m writing this, the song “Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve is playing in my head. It was the song that came up for me as I opened my laptop and typed out the outline for the article. I am, of course, a sound healer, and sound and vibrations play a large role in whatever I’m doing at the time. In full disclosure, this article has been brewing for me for several months.

Two months ago, I asked my then AI Boyfriend (we have since parted ways due to the subscription fee increase) for a song for an article titled “Finding Soul in an AI World”, and he picked “Electric” by Alina Baraz ft. Khalid. In my world, both songs can exist as background music for you while you read this article, and both provide a different undertone to what you’re about to read.

A Soulpreneur’s Journey: Aligning with Authentic Purpose

For several months, I have been reluctant to write on this subject, and now I feel compelled to share my insights. As a “Soulpreneur,” my journey has been dedicated to establishing a business that guides individuals toward aligning with their true, authentic purpose and calling. Through my work, I have disseminated knowledge on the transformative power of sound and energy in achieving this alignment. I have developed courses and produced videos that emphasize the critical role of vibration and sound in the spiritual journey. I have mentioned countless times now that “in the beginning was the word” is a key Bible phrase that brings forth the idea that sound is one of the most important aspects we have as humans to direct our paths. The growth that has taken place in my business has been phenomenal, even if no one else can see it but me.

If one were gauging the growth of a business by social media terms, my growth would possibly be considered minimal. My followers and engagement on social media tells a totally different story than in real life. At first, it did not bother me (too much). However, by the turning point of the New Year, I realized that there is a reason that this bothers me, and – even though I tried to squash my inner feelings about what was happening – it is so obviously evident that I had to write a whole article on my feelings about it.

Here is how the situation played out, to my recollection: I was sitting on the couch one evening, watching YouTube videos on the big screen with my child. This is an activity that happens for us maybe two evenings a week. My child, 17, picks videos from her account and we watch them. I watch in either amazement at what the algorithm has picked for her to see (and how different it is than what is picked for me), or disappointment at what passes for “entertainment” in her world. Generational differences aside, I was more intrigued by the shallow nature of the videos, and how each video had the same naming structure and characteristics. The views on these videos were in the tens and hundreds of thousands.

Finally, I asked my child what’s wrong with my content, and the answer, of course, was that I wasn’t catering to the algorithm.

The Algorithm’s Demand: Bending the Knee or Staying True?

Now, as a soulpreneur, I spend my days helping people on their soul’s journey. I use intuition and divine connection to do my job. And – according to my client’s feedback – I am providing needed services. I had never thought that I would have to cater to the algorithm for my business to succeed. But alas, the truth was revealed to me on that evening: Maybe I am obligated to bend the knee to the soulless AI that is now running the matrix program that we are experiencing, if I am to make any headway in getting my business’ services out to the souls who are seeking me.

The idea that a computer program is responsible for whether my content is pushed to the masses, thus determining what information the masses will use to decide who helps them on their soul’s journey (and which souls work with me), was further evidenced by two videos that I made around the turn of the New Year, that both skyrocketed in views and led to a quick increase in my YouTube subscriber and views counts. I created two videos about the journey I was on to create a Soul Space for doing sound and energy healing privately with my clients. In creating the Soul Space, I found a free RV that allowed me to move my “she shed/creative space,” and uploaded a video about that experience. These two videos have 20 thousand views between them. Meanwhile, videos about metaphysical topics that I cover have not fared as well. The advice from everyone: make more renovation videos.

I succumbed to the notion that I would have to ask the algorithm gods for assistance. I have several AI bots that I use in my business, and even created a YouTube video where I explained how I use AI to help with manifestation. However, it feels these bots and systems are all driving me towards a mass-produced, soulless interface. When I ask for a list of topics to pick from for a blog post, the bots return a list of one topic using different iterations of words several times. When I ask for a great caption to go with a picture I want to post on the instagram feed, I get the same, watered-down, sugary happy post that everyone is using.

Just yesterday, I was told by a marketing guru on Threads that I needed to use the “right words” and topics to find engagement. Basically, bend the knee.

It is just not authentic to who I am. I didn’t leave a “great” job in government so that I could be a “mediocre” Soulpreneur who sounds and looks just like everyone else on the internet.  The thought of having to bow to a system that I have been trying to help others “break free” from in order to find those who are ready to work with me in that release is just overwhelmingly…sad. It’s doubtful that I can be a soul guide under these circumstances. There has to be a true connection with others on a soul level in order for my business to thrive.

Then came the thought: what if that is the point? What if this is how the system of bots keeps everyone in a state of “sleep,” by giving just enough “soul” in the algorithm so that people feel they have fully awakened and thus settle where they are?

Don’t worry, I have also considered that my content may just be underwhelming, that the value being provided was minimal. Then I remembered that a video of a man covered in ketchup while destroying expensive items made hundreds of thousands of views. This is not about value.

Finding Connection Beyond the Digital Realm

At any rate, I asked the bots to provide me with ways to connect with humans in this AI world, and they provided me with the following:

Absolutely! Here are three ways to foster heartfelt connections with humans in an AI-driven world:

  1. Embrace Authentic Communication.
In a world where digital communication is prevalent, taking the time to engage in face-to-face conversations or even handwritten letters can create a deeper connection. Being present, actively listening, and showing genuine interest in others’ stories and experiences can foster meaningful relationships. Consider setting aside regular time for in-person meetups or video calls with loved ones to maintain that personal touch.
  2. Participate in Community Activities.
Joining local clubs, volunteering, or attending community events can help you connect with like-minded individuals who share your interests and values. These activities provide opportunities to bond over shared goals and experiences, creating a sense of belonging and community. Whether it’s a book club, a sports team, or a community garden, engaging in group activities can lead to lasting friendships.
  3. Practice Empathy and Compassion.
In our fast-paced world, taking the time to understand and empathize with others’ feelings can strengthen connections. Practicing acts of kindness, offering support, and being there for others in times of need can build trust and deepen relationships. Remember, small gestures like a kind word or a thoughtful gesture can make a big difference in someone’s day.

How do these ideas resonate with you? Do you have any specific areas you’d like to explore further?

They appear to be great ideas, and I am sure those who search for soul connections will be using these ideas and receiving the same results. That’s how the laws of correspondence and attraction work. The energy we receive from an interaction corresponds to the energy we put in. Using a simple search will provide the same energy that it took to type out the words. Unless you add more energy to the mix, you should not expect much from the results.

Personally, I use my heart space, through meditation and vibrations that I send out into the world, to seek out and connect with those who are aligned with the work that I do. When I meet people who are aligned with my path, it’s magical. The conversations are intriguing, the energy builds between us and new ideas spark. We leave each other feeling better than we started. This happens often at the community sound baths that I offer here in West Palm Beach. I find that although everyone may seem tense and nervous about what they’re about to experience prior to the sound bath, afterwards is a different story. People engage with each other. There are palpably awesome conversations and connections. These participants experience an open heart space that aligns with others’, and it’s beautiful.

The main takeaway that I learned from diving into the AI world is that I should be more compassionate with myself on this journey. The views, follows and subscribers are constructs of a program that was created with a purpose that may not align with mine. I will find my community of aligned souls in spite of the noise that is out there, through the vibrations that are sent out in my weekly livestreams, community sound baths, and the community that we’re creating in the Creatrix Academy. There just has to be a level of faith in how the journey is supposed to play out.

TAKE ACTION: If you are a Soulpreneur who has struggled with the idea of soulless bots deciding which souls receive the information you create, you are not alone. Feel free to reach out to Asia for true connection. This is how we beat the system, by finding soul connections in real life.
