The world has radically changed since 2020. Hoping for a ‘new normal’ only delays accepting this truth. Nothing feels the same—we both recognize it.
Remembering is not about becoming someone new. It is about uncovering who you have always been beneath the conditioning, distractions, and expectations of the world.
We live in powerful but unusual times. Positioned between the old pre-2020 ways and what some call the “New Earth,” we now find ourselves navigating what I call the In-between Zone—a bridge from the old to the new, and a space that profoundly affects how we move forward.

What happens in this zone often feels confusing and chaotic. You are moving toward the future, yet caught between the remnants of the old world, which may feel stabilizing, and the uncertainty of the new. Changes in medical, financial, and environmental areas are coming fast. The old way no longer works, but the new world can feel unstable and without a solid foundation.
And yet, these are the exact times for which we—you and I—have been called. We are here to step into our gifts, to remember what they are, and to understand why we are here. More importantly, we are here to activate these gifts and learn how to navigate change with grace, stability, and wisdom.
This era calls for an inner response. We must ground and center, aligning our body, mind, and spirit daily with our inner compass and our Divine Soul Team. Ask yourself daily: “Show me what is for my highest good and the path I am on. What can I do today or in this moment to align with my purpose and soul work?”
The Call for Volunteers
Many of you are “volunteers,” a term first coined by Dolores Cannon. According to Dolores, many souls volunteered to incarnate during this extraordinary period of human history to help humanity through a time of great transition. “Earth is in trouble. Send your best people!”
You chose, and in turn, you were chosen. You were trained to fully remember, activate, and step into your fullest potential in this lifetime. You brought gifts of intuition, heightened perception, telepathic awareness, deep knowing, and abilities that modern science is only beginning to explore.
I had a dream many years back that illustrates this. I was running away from a Roman army. I kept running until I hit the water and continued to run across the surface, away from the men. I easily walked on the water until I looked down, realized where I was, and immediately began to sink. My human mind couldn’t comprehend that I was actually walking on water. I sank once I stopped believing.
With That In Mind, What Are We Truly Remembering?
So, what is this “remembering,” and how do we do it? Remembering anchors our identity, allowing us to navigate massive shifts, access our special gifts or superpowers, as I like to call them, and step into our soul’s purpose.
Why is it so difficult to recover these memories? Many of you had difficult early childhood experiences. You may have experienced depression, anxiety, worry, abuse, or trauma. These experiences rarely left you feeling excited about a mission to help humanity or inspired to remember your deeper purpose.
Pat yourself on the back—just reading these words is beginning to activate these long-suppressed memories.
We came with a soul blueprint to be activated. But early trauma can deter us from stepping into our gifts, shutting down vital skills, and causing us to lose touch with inner wisdom. Instead of our Higher Self, we may listen to teachers, friends, or parents with their own plans for us. It’s that simple.
Much of what we experience serves a purpose. These challenges often teach us how to trust ourselves, listen to our inner guidance, and make aligned choices. Because we have free will, we are constantly presented with opportunities to choose our direction, to stay aligned or become distracted by the 3D world—entertainment, television, music, and constant stimulation.
When we take time to tune in and assess, we enter the discernment process. By understanding where we are, we clarify our next steps. Remembering is about using your natural talents and connecting with your spiritual team for information about your mission. This is a vital time to do so.
Entering the Miracle Wave
Once we remember and step into our truth, the universe responds by aligning everything synchronously. You suddenly meet the right people. You find yourself in the right place at the right time. Things start to go extraordinarily well. I call this the Miracle Wave, which we will talk about in a future article.
A common misconception is that remembering is easy. It’s not—at least, it isn’t for everyone without mentoring and support.
Think of it this way: your soul resides within your body. You can feel it, and it is constantly talking to you. When the physical body dies, the soul leaves it behind, carrying the memory of every single lifetime you have ever lived.
Your job in this lifetime is to remember that mastery, claim it, and step forward fearlessly as a full-fledged, purposeful human who knows who they are and where they are going.
We are in training, my friends, for the Great Awakening, and you are an integral part of it. That is why you must remember. As others begin to awaken, you will be able to serve as a guide for their own awakening process. This is your initiation, your new beginning.
Each of us walks our own unique path, guided by that voice within.
Don’t expect it to look like anyone else’s path or to fit into a traditional role. As a volunteer, you already think outside the box.
How Do We Begin the Process of Remembering?
It’s easy. Make a commitment to sit with yourself every morning for 20 minutes with a cup of coffee or tea, an oracle deck, and your writing journal. Take 20 minutes to go within, always asking what my next step is, and what I need to do today to stay aligned with my soul’s purpose.
Reflect upon your life’s journey. What has your awakening looked like? What are your unique gifts and talents, your soul blueprint, and life’s mission?
And it’s entirely possible you may discover nothing is wrong with you. Perhaps your soul is simply asking you to remember who you truly are.
Ready to Begin Your Own Remembering?
If this article resonates with you, perhaps it isn’t an accident.
Many people sense that something important is trying to emerge in their lives, yet they struggle to put it into words. They know they are here for a reason, but the path forward may feel unclear.
A Soul Vision Discovery Session is a private conversation designed to help my clients reconnect with their inner guidance, gain clarity about where they are in their journey, and identify the next aligned steps for their life, purpose, and spiritual growth. Unlike a traditional reading, it combines intuitive insight, spiritual guidance, and practical action steps to help them move forward with confidence and alignment.
Together, we explore the gifts that are awakening within, the challenges that may be holding them back, and what their soul is asking them to step into during this important season of their life.
TAKE ACTION: If you’re feeling called to remember more of who you truly are, Joan invites you to schedule a complimentary Soul Vision Discovery Session. Your next chapter may be closer than you think.
