Lately I’ve noticed that many people are struggling to meditate. As I sat with this, the Angels shared something that felt so important to pass on. They said that the thinking mind has created so much pressure around meditation that many people now believe they’re doing it wrong.

We’ve been taught that meditation should feel peaceful. That we should experience stillness, silence, bliss, or somehow stop the mind from thinking. Then, when that doesn’t happen, we become frustrated with ourselves and wonder why we can’t meditate.

But what if meditation was never about achieving a particular state?

Meditation is awareness. It is presence. It is acceptance. It is allowing what is.

That doesn’t always translate into peace and bliss. Sometimes meditation feels peaceful, but other times it feels uncomfortable. Sometimes emotions arise. Sometimes the body aches. Sometimes your mind is busy. None of these experiences mean you’re failing. They simply mean you’re becoming aware of what has always been there.

If you’re sitting in meditation and pain arises in your body, bring your awareness into the pain. Don’t try to change it. Don’t analyze it. Don’t judge it. Simply become present with it.

Awareness is incredibly powerful.

By bringing loving awareness to the body without resistance or pressure, you’re allowing old energies to surface and be released. In my own experience, and through what I’ve been shown by the Angels, this can include emotional wounds, ancestral patterns, and even energies carried through past lives. Meditation isn’t only a place of peace; it’s also a place of release. It is a sacred space where what has been hidden can finally rise into the light to be witnessed, loved, and transformed.

This is why meditation isn’t about achieving a certain state. It’s about allowing whatever is present to be present. There is no pressure to get anywhere. There is nowhere to arrive. There is simply an invitation to sit with yourself exactly as you are.

One of the most powerful shifts you can make is to bring your attention into your body rather than into your thoughts. Every time you place your awareness inside your body, you’re gently teaching the thinking mind how to come into the present moment. Instead of feeding the constant stream of thoughts, you’re feeding awareness. As this happens, you naturally become more sensitive to your body’s wisdom, to energy, and to your intuition.

The body is one of the greatest gateways into presence.

So the next time you meditate, don’t worry about stopping your thoughts. Instead, become curious about what you feel inside your body. Notice where there is tension. Notice where there is softness. Notice where energy is moving. Simply observe with kindness.

I don’t believe meditation is about controlling the thinking mind. I believe it’s about lovingly inviting the thinking mind back into presence through the portal of the body.

As your awareness deepens, something beautiful begins to happen. You become more conscious in every part of your life. Instead of unconsciously reacting, you begin consciously responding. You notice your emotions before they take over. You become more present in your conversations, your relationships, and your daily experiences.

Eventually, meditation is no longer something you do for twenty minutes each morning.

It becomes the way you live.

Bring meditation into every part of your life. Learn to be in the doing. Whether you’re washing the dishes, driving the car, walking in nature, or having a conversation, gently ask yourself:

“Where is my soul?”

“How am I experiencing this moment?”

These simple questions instantly bring you back into presence. They invite awareness into whatever you’re doing, and before long you’ll notice a beautiful shift. Life itself becomes the meditation.

May this perspective soften any pressure you’ve been placing on yourself. Meditation was never about becoming someone else or reaching some perfect state. It has always been about coming home to yourself, exactly as you are.

May this truly and deeply support you.

TAKE ACTION: The next time you meditate, release the need to achieve silence and simply notice what is present in your body with kindness.
