Ancient Temples

Peru is one of the world’s great sacred teachers—a land where towering mountains, ancient temples, and living wisdom invite you to remember something your soul has always known. From the moment you arrive in Cusco, the historic heart of the Inca Empire, you begin to sense this is far more than a journey. It is a sacred pilgrimage of remembrance.

As you breathe the crisp mountain air and explore the Sacred Valley, the magnificent sanctuaries of Sacsayhuamán, Ollantaytambo, Pisac, and the breathtaking citadel of Machu Picchu awaken a sense of wonder beyond words. Every mountain, temple, and ancient stone seems to whisper stories of devotion, harmony, and a civilization whose wisdom still echoes throughout the Andes.

As I walked these sacred paths, one question continued to arise: Why do I feel so deeply connected to a land I have never known?

Only each of us can truly answer that.

For me, the answer came not through words, but through experience. As I wandered the ancient pathways, I felt an unmistakable presence—as though the land itself was inviting me to listen. The energy of the mountains, the silence of the temples, and the warmth of the Andean people revealed timeless wisdom that continues to live within this remarkable culture.

Five sacred teachings emerged from my journey:

• Live in reciprocity—every gift carries an invitation to give back.
• Honor the Earth as a living teacher whose wisdom is always available.
• Serve the whole, for your light shines brightest when it uplifts others.
• Walk in harmony with nature, Spirit, and the rhythms of life.
• Remember your ancestors, whose strength and wisdom continue to live within you.

I discovered these teachings not only among the ancient temples, but in the everyday lives of the Andean people. Although we spoke different languages, our hearts understood one another. Every smile, every ceremony, and every shared moment reminded me that we are one people, connected by the same Spirit and the same longing to remember who we truly are.

Today, I return to Peru because I feel called to share this sacred journey with others. As we walk these ancient paths together, I hope that each person can discover the greatest gift Peru offers—not its breathtaking landscapes or remarkable ruins, but the sacred wisdom already living within you.

Each ceremony and sacred site becomes an invitation to remember your light, your purpose, and your eternal connection with Spirit. Perhaps that is why we are called to these ancients—not to find something outside ourselves, but to awaken the truth that has always lived within.
