What if healing begins the moment you stop pushing—and start listening?
For Medge Jaspan, true wellness is not about fixing symptoms but restoring connection within the body. As the founder of the Holistic Healing and Wellness Center, she guides people back into presence, helping them move beyond numbness and chronic tension so the body can begin to restore itself naturally.
In this conversation, Medge shares why deep relaxation is essential for healing, how subtle changes often appear before pain resolves, and what it means to trust the body’s innate intelligence. She also speaks about the power of supportive environments, conscious retreats, and learning to notice the “lived outcomes” that signal real transformation. I want us to dive in and discuss some of the challenges many of us face. I love that you’ve said we often drift into unhelpful states that you call “numb, dumb, or distracted.” Could you walk us through what each of those states means—and how they’re actually hindering us?
Medge Jaspan: That’s true—and I had almost forgotten I used that phrase. We have been on this Earth for a very long time, and over and over again, we find ourselves in similar situations. One of our first mechanisms is shutdown. So we shut down again and again.
That’s what I mean by numb. We numb ourselves—our minds, and even our bodies. Sometimes we don’t even feel physical pain because we’ve learned how to disconnect from it. And that’s sad, because we don’t take the time to really acknowledge that we’re hurt again.
If instead we paused and said, Okay, I want to feel this. I want to understand why I’m feeling it. Why am I reliving the same emotions, the same trauma? What is this trying to show me?—then something different can happen. When you take the time to feel and embrace the emotion, it begins to shift.
Now, when I talk about dumb—I know it’s not a politically correct word—but I don’t mean it as an insult. I mean it in the sense that we’re not present. We’re scattered. We’re not anchored in awareness.
And then there’s distracted. We’re distracted by our phones, apps, games, notifications—what I call shiny objects. I walk in the street, and I take the time to enjoy what’s around me. I’m not constantly on my phone. Often it’s on “do not disturb” because the noise itself is distracting.
I once spoke with a friend who wanted to see a therapist, and the therapist was answering text messages during the session. Can you imagine that level of distraction? How can you truly hear someone like that? We go to restaurants, and we’re on our phones, not really there with the people in front of us. That distraction is deeply sad, because we lose the ability to truly enjoy each other.
What’s the downside of drifting into these states? How does it negatively impact our lives?
Medge Jaspan: Being in the now is essential. When you are present, you receive guidance from your heart. The heart is like an engine—or an antenna—that guides you along your path.
Life’s journey is already written, but when you’re present, you can see it, feel it, enjoy it, and move naturally to the next step. Presence allows you to participate consciously in your own life.
Being numb means you’re no longer aware of what’s happening in your body. Sometimes I tell my clients, I can feel my blood moving through my body. If there’s a blockage somewhere, I feel it—because I’m present.
If you enter a space where kindness is lacking, you’ll feel it in your body. It almost hurts. But when you learn conscious living—what we both teach—you live better because you’re feeling more.
When we’re numb, dumb, or distracted, we stop feeling. We get stuck in our heads, stuck in the past, or lost in distraction.
I’ve seen you quoted as saying, “If you heal one cell at a time, you heal communication between cells first. If we bring energy to the cells, the cells create more mitochondria.” Why is communication between cells important, and why does creating more mitochondria matter?
Medge Jaspan: I’ll explain this very simply. Imagine the body as trillions of cells, all needing to communicate with one another. The brain communicates with the heart, the heart with the kidneys, the liver, the legs—everything is connected through a beautiful balance of communication between systems.
If cells aren’t healthy, communication breaks down. For example, if there’s dysfunction in your shoulder, you’ll feel pain there because communication is compromised.
As the body relaxes, communication between cells is restored. They return to alignment. If your shoulder no longer hurts, you can lift it again. Your shoulder supports your arm, your hand, and suddenly, the entire system functions smoothly again.
That’s why communication is so important.
I often talk about energy because I work with energetic systems. When the body receives more energy, it supports cellular function and encourages the creation of more mitochondria. Mitochondria help the body generate energy, which allows cells to work together more efficiently and supports healing.
This isn’t about a miracle cure. It’s about helping the body feel better, communicate better, and function in a healthier way. When you have more mitochondria, you have more energy. And when you have more energy, the body feels lighter, more relaxed, and freer—because everything is working together again.

What are the presenting challenges or problems with people coming to your center? You own the Holistic Healing and Wellness Center in Longboat Key, Florida, near Sarasota, and you also work with people in other places—Pennsylvania, California, France, and online. What are the main issues people come to you with?
Medge Jaspan: Canada, too—we just welcomed Canada.
Honestly, I’ll tell you something: I don’t even need to know what someone has. Of course, I do know—but most of the time, people really want to tell you everything. They’ll say, I have this, I have that.
People come with cancer, MS, Parkinson’s, dementia, back pain—many different physical conditions. And I want to be very clear: I am not healing people. I’m helping people restore their cells. I’m helping them understand how the body works and how they can power up their cells—bringing more energy to them so they feel better, work better, and communicate with each other again.
Some people come with physical issues. Others come with emotional challenges, like anxiety. At the core, it’s about bringing love back to yourself—understanding that when you bring that love to every single cell in the body, you support better cellular communication and better cellular health.
One of the primary resources you use is Tesla BioHealing, which provides a steady stream of biophotons. Can you explain what biophotons are, how they benefit the cells, and how Tesla BioHealing works?
Medge Jaspan: I always travel with my machines.
This one here is a larger system, but I also have smaller versions. It may look very simple—like a little can—but it’s actually a generator of biophotons.
Biophotons are one of the fundamental constituents of who we are. People say all the time, I don’t have energy today. But you need energy for everything. To lift your arm, you need energy. For digestion, you need energy. For your lymphatic system to move and release waste, you need energy. You need energy in your heart, in your circulation—everything needs to flow.
I love this idea of flow. The brain communicates with the eyes, the eyes with the rest of the body. When we were kids, we used to see cartoons explaining how the body works—it’s all about communication.
So what’s inside this device? I’ll be honest: I don’t know the specifics. It’s a proprietary system that generates biophotons.
You might say, But we already have biophotons everywhere. And yes, that’s true. When you’re near the beach or in the mountains, you feel more relaxed because there’s a natural wave of biophotons. But we don’t have that level of support all the time. That’s why most people never reach a state of deep, sustained relaxation—even with meditation.
If I had to give you an image, it’s like plugging yourself into an electrical outlet. Energy flows where your body needs it, without you having to direct it consciously. The body knows.
For example, I just traveled, and my body was in shock. After a long trip, you might expect to feel sick or exhausted. I took the time to sit with my biophoton system, and I felt better very quickly. No fever, no crash. I had the energy to do what I needed to do that day.
So you can just hold it or keep it near you?
Medge Jaspan: Yes. You keep it near you, and it creates an energy field. The best way is to be in the middle of that field.
If you place two generators in front of you and two behind you, they create what I like to call a dome of energy—not a pyramid, but a dome—because energy attracts energy. When the generators come together like that, and you’re in the middle, the body receives what it needs naturally.
I’ve seen other biophoton units where you actually hold something, and the energy moves through you. With this system, you just sit near it—is that right? So when people come to your wellness center, they can simply sit in the midst of the Tesla BioHealing field. These systems are a significant investment, so most people wouldn’t have them at home—they’d come to a center to experience them, correct?
Medge Jaspan: Yes and no. From the time I began using these systems to now, a lot has changed. Everything is made in the United States, and when you think about the cost of manufacturing, research, and development, it is expensive.
There were also challenges at the beginning—especially with the FDA—because this wasn’t really welcomed in our society at first. But now we can talk about it more openly, and that’s important. A holistic approach can help people.
At my center in Longboat Key, I have what I call an energy womb. It’s a room with a large number of generators—a very high-level energy field. People come in, and usually within five minutes, they’re falling asleep.
And I love when people say, “I never relax.” Because after a session, you can see it. I take photos before and after an hour, and the difference is visible—especially around the eyes, where the nervous system is very active. There are fewer wrinkles, and the eyes are more open. Even if they don’t feel the change yet, they can see it in the photos.

One thing you’ve mentioned is that people new to this kind of wellness work sometimes say, “I don’t see anything happening,” or “The problem I came here with is still there.” You encourage them to pay attention to what you call “lived outcomes.” What does that mean, and how do you guide people to notice them?
Medge Jaspan: Do you remember what we talked about earlier—numbness?
When someone has been suffering for a long time, they often experience symptoms like numbness. Let’s say numbness in the feet. When that numbness starts to disappear, they suddenly say, “Oh, I feel something. I can feel again.”
But the bigger issue they came in with might not have been the root problem—it might have been only a symptom. The source could be somewhere else in the body. I saw a woman like that just last week.
This is why awareness is so important. It’s about listening. When you listen to the body, you begin to feel things shifting. You feel things flowing again. There’s more communication within the body, and you become aware of where that communication is happening.
What I love to tell people is this: listen—not just with your heart, but with your body. Sometimes you meet someone, and you instantly know you love them. That’s not logic—that’s listening. It’s feeling. And when you begin to feel again, you start to notice real change happening.
So when you talk about “lived outcomes,” let’s say I come to you with a shoulder issue. What I’m hearing is that the shoulder might not be the first thing that shifts, because the Tesla Biohealing directs biophotons to the area of the body that needs them most in that moment. So the changes might show up as better sleep, more mental clarity, or higher daily energy levels. Those would be lived outcomes you’d point me to, even if my shoulder hasn’t changed yet. Is that correct?
Medge Jaspan: Yes, that’s correct—but it’s important to clarify something. It’s not the Tesla system giving you anything. It’s your body that absorbs the biophotons.
The body is intelligent—actually, much more intelligent than we are. It knows exactly where it needs support most and absorbs energy accordingly.
One of the amazing things we see with frequency-based systems is that we can often observe inflammation decreasing in the body quite quickly. There are systems that allow us to see what’s happening internally, and that gives us insight into where change is occurring first.
Another product you’ve been introducing to your clients recently is the Asea® Redox line. Can you explain what those are and what “redox” means?
Medge Jaspan: It’s redox therapy. Redox is a system in the body that supports cellular communication. Once again, it comes back to cellular health and the restoration of communication between cells.
Your cells are constantly talking to each other. With these products, you’re helping support that communication. One of them is a liquid, and we also have topical products—there are three in total.
Even while I’m traveling—I’m in France right now—I make sure I send the products ahead of time. Everyone around me uses them, because when I find something good, I want everyone to know about it.
For example, recently I was feeling run-down and cold. I used the gel on my lymphatic system, and I felt a change right away. What I was really doing was supporting communication in my body—giving my cells what they need to communicate and feel better.
So that’s a lotion?
Medge Jaspan: It’s actually a gel. There’s no smell, it’s completely natural. When you think about it, it’s water and salt.
And if you remember, when we were in our mother’s womb for nine months, we were completely immersed in water.

What is the line of these products, and what benefits do they offer people? Can you walk us through what they actually support?
Medge Jaspan: Let’s talk about benefits. Most people are familiar with things like collagen or colloidal silver. Here, we’re working with redox signaling molecules and gold.
The first time I used this product, I was honestly blown away. You have cellular communication happening through the redox component, and in addition, you have gold, which is actually one of the components of the human body. Gold supports communication in the joints and helps the muscles relax.
As soon as you apply a small amount to the body, if you have pain somewhere, the body often feels relief very quickly. Does that mean the issue disappears instantly? No. And this is important to understand.
Some people have been dealing with pain or degeneration for fifty or sixty years, and they’re hoping for a magic wand. There is no magic wand. The body took time to reach that state, and it needs time to restore itself. These products are tools—very supportive tools—but they work in partnership with the body, not against time.
I personally use the liquid redox every day. In the morning, I take three caps, and at night I take three caps. Why? Because I’m sending a message to my cells: I’m restoring communication. I’m giving my cells the liquid they need to feel better and communicate better.
On my website, there’s a lot of research, studies, testimonials, and detailed information for people who want to go deeper. When I speak, I try not to use big scientific words. I want people to feel that this is accessible, simple, and for them. But if someone wants the science, it’s all there.
I’ve been using Asea for about three years now. At first, I’ll be honest—I’m not someone who loves supplements. I like to eat well and keep things simple. But a friend encouraged me to try it consistently for one month. So I did.
I noticed my joints felt better. I became aware of how much tension I’d been carrying there. I especially loved the white tube at first because it was so simple—if you have pain somewhere, you just apply it.
Do you have shoulder pain right now, David?
I don’t have pain right now, but it’s interesting—I do have shoulder pain every morning. When I wake up, I feel fine, but once I sit down at my computer, the pain shows up. It lasts about an hour and then goes away.
Medge Jaspan: You know what I often say? When you wake up and look at your dog, what is your dog doing?
Stretching.
Medge Jaspan: Exactly. And what do we do when we wake up? Usually, nothing. We don’t stretch.
When you stretch and move your body, you move the energy inside. If there’s a blockage somewhere, movement helps it shift. Sometimes the pain disappears simply because energy starts flowing again.
Unfortunately, many people sit down first thing in the morning without moving their bodies at all. And that’s often the first place to look when evaluating what’s happening in the body.
So these products are something that a leader in the consciousness, mindfulness, spirituality, or health space could use personally—and also integrate into their own business as part of how they serve their clients. Is that right?
Medge Jaspan: Yes, that’s correct. At first, I began using them just for myself, my husband, and even my dog. My little dog had a hernia, and as I started using the gel on her belly, I noticed she was feeling better—and eventually the bulge wasn’t there anymore.
So I became my own guinea pig. Then my husband, then myself. At first, it was purely personal.
Over time, I integrated it into my work. I collaborate with a close friend I’ve been working with for about three years—she’s the expert in this area. When someone comes to me, and I feel this could support them, I connect them with her. We have a call together and go deeper into what’s happening for that person.
And yes, people can absolutely integrate these products into their own work. One of the realities of being in the U.S. is that many good things are shared through affiliate programs. But for me, it’s never been about business or making money. It’s about sharing something good—something we actually use every day and believe in. The compensation is simply a byproduct, not the motivation.

Beyond your work at the healing center and your travels, you also host retreats throughout the year. You’ve said that a retreat isn’t about escaping life—it’s about creating the safety and simplicity the body needs to stop scanning for threats and begin restoring. For someone who’s never attended a retreat before, how does that environment actually help the body heal itself?
Medge Jaspan: There are several layers to this, but the first is energy. People are immersed in a high-energy environment. They sleep in what I call a womb of biophotons. They’re surrounded by supportive energy the entire time.
We’re also very intentional about reducing electromagnetic exposure. There’s no EMF in the spaces where we sleep. The food is clean. The water is structured—even the shower water is treated. Everything is designed to create a serene, living environment that supports the nervous system.
That’s the first step.
The second step is that people stop. They finally take time for themselves. They tell their bodies, “I love you.” I’m choosing you. I’m stopping—and now, I come first.
Most people don’t do that. I didn’t do that for a long time either. I took care of everyone else and forgot about myself.
I love retreats because we stop everything. We put ourselves first. And then the magic happens—because when you truly listen, when you hear your body talking to you, you already begin to feel better.
Look at animals. When they’re sick, they stop. They isolate. They rest. But humans? We’re sick, we’re in pain, and we say, I have emails. I have things to do. This is important. There’s always something more important than ourselves.
At a retreat, we take the time to begin regeneration. And regeneration—and healing—cannot happen until the body reaches a state of deep, profound, complete relaxation.
I know one of the things you do is provide biofeedback—or more accurately, biofield measurements—before and after the retreat, to help measure impact. What are these biofield measurement devices, and how do they work?
Medge Jaspan: I use several different tools. When I’m in Pennsylvania, we use a bioscan. In my office in Longboat Key, I use the SR4. I also have another scanning system.
But I’ll tell you something important: before any machine, the first measurement is awareness. When people arrive, I say, Stop. Feel your body. Stop talking. In this space, nobody else is important—you are the most important person here.
I ask them to focus and write down what’s happening in their bodies and in their lives. What would you like to change? Why are you here? What made you feel you needed this retreat?
Because we are so distracted, I’ve seen people arrive talking about social media—“Oh, let’s connect, let’s do this.” That’s not why they’re here. There will be time for that. You’re here to dive in. To think about yourself. To put yourself first.
Some people say, “Oh, I’m not the most important—God is.” Yes, but if God gave you life, then this life is sacred. You have a mission on Earth, and you must treat your life as important.
That’s why I shifted from workshops and short programs into four-day retreats. With four days, you’re almost forced to dive in. And yes, I’ve had people who resisted that. I asked one woman, Why did you come? She said, I wanted to try.
And I told her, Try fully. Give your body a chance. What you did before didn’t work. So allow yourself to dive in. Accept what’s offered. Accept what you may discover about yourself because that’s part of it, too.
I discover new things about myself all the time—and I love that.
I know people experience a very intentional environment of health—biofield scans at the beginning and end, sleeping in Tesla Biohealing fields, healthy food, structured water. That’s very unique. What are some of the actual activities people experience on your retreats? And I know you have retreats coming up in Florida, Pennsylvania, and France—very different places. What happens there?
Medge Jaspan: Each retreat has its own focus.
In Florida, at the end of January, we’re hosting a retreat with a chef who practices what I call bio-cooking. Kimberly is extraordinary. She cooks with love, but more than that, she teaches people how to receive food into their bodies. It becomes a love story between you and what you eat.
That retreat is about restoring eating habits, supporting liver function, and cleansing after the holidays. It’s very green—green, green, green. We begin the year by cleaning what we’ve accumulated, so we can restore better cellular communication.
The retreat in France is very different. After living in the U.S. for almost twenty years, I realized I had lost something I grew up with—the art of stopping. In France, from 12 to 2, everything closes. People eat. They take time. Two full hours.
Your body needs that pause. You don’t drive and eat at the same time. When you do that, you’re telling your body, I don’t love you enough to stop. That’s not okay.
In France, we teach people to return to real values. To taste real food again. Unfortunately, much of our food today is destroyed by GMOs, sugar, and corn syrup—we don’t even remember what real food tastes like.
We go to the market every day: fresh vegetables, fresh fish, fresh food. You don’t stock your fridge—you choose daily. You go back to the essentials.
We also work with creativity—using your senses, reconnecting with your true talents. Many people say, I don’t know how to draw. That doesn’t matter. Maybe your gift is singing, sewing, gardening, creating flowers—everyone has a gift.
Most people can’t answer what their gift is because they’ve been conditioned by society to chase a version of success that isn’t theirs. But each of us has something unique to bring to the world. The retreat is about remembering that.
In Florida, it’s about loving your organs—your liver, kidneys, spleen. In France, it’s about loving yourself again. Taking time. Walking. Smelling. Anchoring.
We go on the water. We learn grounding—connecting to Earth and water. We are water. Earth is water. When you learn to anchor yourself, your body feels better instantly.
And yes, we go to beautiful places. In France, we go to Cannes. We explore vineyards. And I always say—you’ll never hear me talk about getting drunk. But enjoying a glass of wine with food, consciously, connected to the land—that’s different.
Some wines feel wrong in the body. Others feel harmonious. You learn to listen. You learn discernment.
In August, we host what I call a lifestyle retreat. It’s more playful. We enjoy the fireworks festival on the water in Cannes. We also learn how to live smarter—how to shop consciously.
Most shoes today are made of plastic. Plastic disconnects you from the Earth. Leather, cotton, wood—these materials ground you. Our ancestors understood this. Grounding matters because Earth’s magnetic field supports the body’s systems.
It’s about reconnecting—above and below. Balance. Presence. And coming back to what truly supports life.

Speaking of shopping smart, you’re actually wearing one of your own creations. You’re not only helping people with their health and wellness, but you’re also an artist and a clothing creator. Tell us about your artwork and clothing.
Medge Jaspan: Art is really my way of letting go. When I paint, there is nobody else there—I’m completely immersed in the creation, in the flow. I paint energy. I paint movement. I paint the floor, I paint instinctively. You’ve probably seen my paintings—you can see them online as well.
At some point, I decided to bring my art onto clothing. One day, a woman told me, “I’m not sure I can afford your painting.” And I thought, I don’t want to hear that. I want everyone to feel they can access something—no matter their budget. You can find something for $10, a pouch, a small piece—there is always something available.
My brand is called Heart, but also art inside the heart. It’s about ease and freedom for the body. The clothing is wrinkle-free and effortless. You fold it, put it in your bag, and you’re ready to go. The colors last. It’s freedom—you don’t even think about it.
For a long time, I only wore black, white, and navy. Very French. But I realized how powerful color therapy can be. On days when I need extra support—if my heart feels heavy, or I need more energy—you’ll see me wearing blue. I created many blue paintings and translated them into clothing, and people tell me, “I feel so good wearing this.”
One of my paintings is called The Dance of the Shells. My husband collects shells from the beach where we live, and I created a painting with them. In French, it’s La Dance des Coquillages. A friend once wore it without knowing the name and said, “I just feel like dancing.” And I thought—yes. That’s exactly it. The shells are dancing.
For me, it’s about bringing a different energy into your life—something that transforms your reality. It’s about pleasure. Enjoyment. We often lose that because we’re focused on working, doing, achieving. But where is the pleasure?
People chase money, but why do you want money? When I stopped focusing on having to do things and started enjoying what I do—doing it because I love it—everything shifted. Money is energy. It flows when you are aligned, when you’re doing what you came here to do.
If I could give one final piece of advice, it would be this: find what you came here to do. Find your true passion, your true mission. Do it with all your heart—and enjoy your life. I truly believe that’s why we’re here.
Tell us where people can find you—your retreats, your wellness centers, your artwork.
Medge Jaspan: You can find us in several locations now—Canada, Longboat Key in Florida, France, California (Westlake Village), and Pennsylvania.
All the information is on my website: MedgeJaspan.com. You can also find me on Instagram and Facebook. I personally respond, and if I’m traveling, someone from my office will always be there to help.
And where can people find your artwork and clothing?
Medge Jaspan: That’s at MedgeArt.com.

Wonderful. Thank you for all the goodness you’re bringing into the world and all the places you travel to serve people.
Medge Jaspan: Thank you, David. And I’ll say this—if you want me in your city, let me know. If there isn’t already a center there, we can help you create one. We’re here to share love, to share goodness, to share what truly supports life. Thank you.
