What if the hardest moments of your childhood were pointing you toward your purpose?
That feeling has been with Cheri Arellano since she was a kid. Her early life was messy and painful in ways no child should have to navigate, including the loss of her father. And yet, woven through all of it was this quiet sense that she was being looked after. One day, walking home in the sunshine, she heard an inner voice say, you’re here to do something special. She didn’t know what to do with that at the time. She just carried it with her.
Years later, after building a creative career and doing a lot of inner and outer work, that knowing finally started to make sense. Today, Cheri works as a healer and the founder of Divine Light Codes, helping people reconnect with their star origins and the guidance they’ve always felt but maybe couldn’t name. This conversation is really about remembering. If you’ve ever felt different, out of place, or quietly called toward something more, you’ll probably hear yourself in her story.

So, I want to hear a bit about your story. One of the things that really impressed me is how you share your life on your website—in such a beautiful, vulnerable way. A lot of people’s “About” pages feel generic, full of buzzwords. But yours felt real. It made me want to give you a hug. To give people some context for your work—because our work grows out of our life experience—would you be willing to give a brief overview of your early years and how they shaped the path you’re on now?
Cheri Arellano: I was raised in Miami, Florida, and lived there until I was 25. After that, I set off to do everything. My father was American, born in the U.S., and my mother immigrated to the U.S. from Nicaragua in 1965. They both already had children, and then they had me, so I was the only child born to both of them, and I was the youngest.
My father was an entrepreneur his whole life. He had been in the military, then started an accounting business, where he met my mom—she worked for him. They eventually got married and had me. It was a very passionate and, honestly, very chaotic relationship.
My father struggled with alcohol from the time he was about 13, and that really shaped the family dynamic. Home life was tumultuous—sometimes violent, often unsafe. Because I was the youngest, and my siblings were nine and eleven years older than I, they were very protective of me. They’d take me out of the house, send me next door, or take me outside to play.
So even though I was there—I heard things, felt things, experienced things—I don’t consciously remember much of it. I think that’s partly because I was shielded. At the same time, there were beautiful moments, too. We went to the beach all the time. I spent most weekends there. Growing up in sunny South Florida in the ’70s was full of joy. I have many fond memories, and my family is still there.
But yes—it was definitely a challenging childhood.
How did those challenging experiences—and I know you’re being gentle with the story here—how did they impact the trajectory of your life as a healer? Did you sense, even as a child, that you were here to help others? Or did that emerge later?
Cheri Arellano: As a child, I always felt divinely protected and guided. I remember one moment very clearly—I was walking down the sidewalk on a sunny day, and I heard a message: “You’re here to do something special.”
How old were you?
Cheri Arellano: I was about seven or eight.
I didn’t know what it meant or where the voice came from. I was probably skipping along, just thinking, Okay, whatever that means. At that age, you don’t really grasp things like that.
Because my parents worked so much, my older sister and brothers helped raise me. But my sister ran away when she was 15—she and my father were fighting, and she went to find her biological mother. Shortly after, she took her brother—my half-brother—with her. Then it was just my other brother on my mom’s side and me.
He was close to college age at that point, so he eventually moved out, too. My father died when I was nine, right in the middle of my parents’ divorce. My sister had left when I was five, but the divorce began when I was eight. During that time, my father was trying to get custody of me.
He was the tyrant in the home. Both of my parents struggled with alcoholism, but he was the violent one. My mother endured thirteen years of physical, emotional, and mental abuse. Strangely, I felt relieved when he passed, which is a very strange thing to say as a child. You don’t really know what’s going to happen next.
He was manipulating the court system, trying to get my sister to come back so he could win custody—because back then, having a female figure in the house made that easier. There was a lot of triangulation against my mother. It was intense.
My father was murdered at a bar and died a few days later in the hospital. After that, I lived with my stepfather for the next five or six years. It was better—much better—but he was emotionally abusive. Not physically, but very controlling, sarcastic, and always needed to be right. He was a retired fire department lieutenant, very rigid and disciplined.
Your mom was picking some good ones.
Cheri Arellano: Exactly. Yeah. My mom really just went by her heart—bless her. She was a very nurturing woman, but she didn’t have many choices. She had a fourth-grade education. She was pulled out of school in fourth grade to take care of her siblings.

Wow.
Cheri Arellano: She had nine siblings, and then they all immigrated here one by one. At that time, in the ’60s, if you were a woman from a Central American country and you married a Caucasian man who had his own business, you were doing great. She had, in her mind, hit the jackpot.
Yeah—“I’ll put up with all the craziness.”
Cheri Arellano: Exactly. I’ll put up with the craziness. Yeah.
You talk about this experience when you were seven or eight—skipping along and hearing that you were here to do something special. Do you remember other spiritual or faith experiences as a child? Or did that unfold later?
Cheri Arellano: Most of it came later, but one memory has really stayed with me.
My babysitter lived next door, and sometimes after school I’d go back to my house to grab something from my bedroom. I had a key, so I’d go in through the back door. One day, I was alone in the house and already scared. You know how it is when you’re little—you don’t want to be alone in a house. It’s scary.
I think it’s because we’re so sensitive to energy at that age. I remember seeing this dark, shadowy figure sitting in my dad’s chair—his recliner, almost like his throne. It didn’t feel like a shadow. It felt like an entity, like a dark person.
I ran out of there as fast as I could. Today, I know what that was—but back then, I had no idea. I just knew I needed to get out of there immediately.
So as you grew up and matured, what were some of the markers of awakening—into consciousness, mindfulness, spirituality?
Cheri Arellano: I moved to Los Angeles in 1996 and started doing yoga about 4 days a week. I was really hardcore—a total yogini. Around that time, my best friend said, “Hey, I’m going to India. Do you want to come?” And I said, “Yeah, absolutely.”
I saved up money, quit my job, and planned to go with her to the Maha Kumbh Mela—the largest religious and spiritual festival in the world. I had gone vegetarian by then. I’d go to the Hare Krishna temple on Sundays and eat the food. We were very immersed in the yoga community. I was practicing Iyengar yoga and getting really good at it.
I almost went down the teacher-training path, but I felt like I had a different soul purpose, so I didn’t. At the time, I was working as a graphic designer in LA.
About a month before we were supposed to leave, my best friend told me she couldn’t go. And I was like, Wait—what? When you’re 25—well, I think I was about 27—the idea of going to India alone is not exactly on your bucket list. But I had saved the money, quit my job, given notice, bought the tickets—so I went anyway.
For the first three weeks, I stayed in an ashram with a guru she knew from Pennsylvania. He wasn’t my guru, and it wasn’t my group, but they welcomed me in. As a Westerner, they were like, Okay, come on—you can stay here.
I became close to the locals—the guru’s disciples—and also met many Americans. I was a photographer at the time, in addition to being a graphic designer, and one of the reasons I wanted to go to India was for photography. I took my camera everywhere.
The guru kind of took me under his wing, and I became his personal photographer. He would bring me into tents with other gurus, where they would sit and philosophize for hours. Only a few of us were allowed inside. I got to photograph and listen to these incredibly profound conversations.
Wow. Were these conversations in English? Were they communicating that way?
Cheri Arellano: Partly in English, and partly in their native languages. India has hundreds of different languages, and people come from all over the country.
So the common language was English because they often didn’t speak the same dialect.

Yeah, I’ve been to India a dozen times myself. I’m very familiar with the chaos and the beauty interwoven. Amazing. How long did you stay there?
Cheri Arellano: I was supposed to stay about three weeks—and here’s another crazy story—I ended up staying four months.
Around the second or third week, my roommate back in LA—who was maybe going to be my boyfriend—emailed me. I used to go to cafés and check my email about once a week. When I left LA, his coming to India was a maybe. But he decided to come.
So he showed up in India, and after the Kumbh Mela ended, we traveled together for about a month. I remember thinking, Wow—if I can travel with someone for a month in the most chaotic country in the world, we can do anything together.
We extended the trip, and it ended up being about eight weeks. But the real reason he came was heartbreaking.
I had left my dog—my pet, my soulmate—a little white Chihuahua named E.T., in the care of his mother. Two days after I left, E.T. ran out of the house and was hit by a car. She was hysterical, and he said, “There’s no way I can tell her this over the phone or by email. I have to go to India and tell her in person.”
So his family paid for the trip, he got his passport, quit his job, and within a week, he was in India. It was wild.
He must have been very interested in you to do that.
Cheri Arellano: Yeah, definitely. We had a strong connection before that.
That’s quite a love story. My goodness.
Cheri Arellano: And here’s the crazy part—he didn’t tell me about the dog for a full month.
India is so chaotic. There’s never a right time. You’re constantly bombarded—on trains, on the streets, negotiating everything. It’s intense and stressful.
About a month in, we traveled down to Trivandrum, at the very southern tip of India. We rented this little palapa on a cliff overlooking the ocean. It was the most serene, peaceful place we’d found. And that’s when he finally told me.
Did your heart just break in that moment?
Cheri Arellano: Yes. I was crying and crying about my dog. And then I realized—you’ve been holding this in your heart for a month? I suddenly felt so much compassion for him.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that stray dogs were everywhere in India. They’d often come up to us—especially to me, because I love dogs. And every time, he would become visibly uncomfortable. I thought he was afraid of getting bitten.
But the truth was, it reminded him of E.T., and it brought up the fact that he still hadn’t told me.
So sad.
Cheri Arellano: Yeah. I had a lot of compassion for him—and of course, I was heartbroken about my dog.
I was crying so loudly that the staff knocked on the door and asked, “Madam, are you okay?” I said, “Yes, my dog died.” They thought my mother had died. When I clarified it was my dog, they were basically like, Oh. Okay.
Because dogs are like squirrels—just everywhere, they wouldn’t have had much compassion. Are you still with this man?
Cheri Arellano: I am. We’ve been together for 28 years now, and married for 20.

Wow. What an incredible story. At what point in this journey did you start to sense that you were called to use your intuitive gifts to serve other people?
Cheri Arellano: It really started in India. After being together on that crazy journey for four to eight weeks, we thought, Wow—if we can survive this, we can do anything. So when we got back, we decided to start a business together.
We moved to San Francisco, and I started the first green graphic design company in the city. We were actually certified green—the first eco-creative agency in San Francisco, back in 2002. My husband was a videographer and film buff—he’d worked for Miramax Films—and I was doing graphic design and photography. We merged our creative skills and started an agency called Conscious Creative.
I felt really called to give back to Mother Earth. We encouraged clients to use recycled, tree-free paper and worked with socially conscious organizations, NGOs, and nonprofits. That was my first real calling—to help the planet, honestly. To save the trees. When I worked in LA and saw how much paper was wasted in the graphic design and film industries, it broke my heart. I just felt like, We have to do something.
So that was my first awakening and activation. On that same trip, we also went to Egypt—Cairo and Luxor—along with Sri Lanka and Nepal.
You went around the world. I love this. Amazing. How did you eventually navigate the shift from graphic design and photography into more of a healing capacity?
Cheri Arellano: We ran Conscious Creative for about 20 years. Along that path, I kept hearing this inner voice. I had friends and clients in spiritual communities, and I could feel the pull—but I kept telling myself, I’m not ready. I’m not ready yet.
I still identified as a businesswoman. I was running a company, even if it was eco-conscious. But the pull was there—like being called to the other side of the fence. And at the same time, I kept hearing, It’s not time. You’ll know when the timing is right.
In 2012, I finally felt that calling to start serving people one-on-one. I had been helping the planet, and suddenly it felt like, Okay—now it’s time to help people directly, on a more intimate level. But I had no idea how I was going to do that.
A friend of mine had a mystery school, and she said, “It’s time. Are you going to join?” And I thought, Well… I guess so. So I did.
We went on a three-year journey together. That’s where I learned how to meditate for 45 minutes to an hour, how to check my auric field, and studied things like the Emotion Code, Reiki, and EFT tapping. I was learning as I went—about energy, dark energies, starseeds, and life on other planets.
At the time, I didn’t really believe in aliens or ETs. I’d heard of them, sure, but I didn’t believe. My friend told me she had an implant in her lower spine, and I was like, You have a what? She told me this very detailed story about how she got it, how it was removed, and how it was put back in. My mind was blown.
Around 2013, there was a major awakening in the cosmic disclosure world, led by David Wilcock and Corey Goode. I went down that rabbit hole hard, learning about life on other planets, the secret space program, and how much information about exoplanets had been hidden from us. My mind just kept opening—rabbit hole after rabbit hole.
I attended Contact in the Desert conferences five years in a row, from 2013 to 2018. And then I went to a yogic healing retreat in Mount Shasta. I’d been there many times—it felt like a home away from home.
We were doing Kundalini exercises with our arms, and suddenly, my hands lit up. They felt hot, as if energy were pouring through them. It felt like light rays were coming out of my hands. I asked the teacher, “My hands feel lit up—what does that mean?”
She said, “It means you can be a healer. You have the potential. You may have even been one in a past life.”
That was another turning point. I went deeper into healing work, and it fed my soul in a way nothing else had. I felt that clear pull—This is what I’m meant to do next.
That whole transition—from business into healing—took about seven years, from 2012 to 2019.
It’s amazing how long the journey and the learning can take. Every person’s path is so different. What was happening with your husband during all of this?
Cheri Arellano: We were still running Conscious Creative while I was transitioning. We were getting video gigs in Alameda County and throughout Northern California, and he was still very much doing his thing.
But as I put less and less energy into the business, you could feel it start to dwindle. It was definitely waning. I remember telling him, I’m transitioning. You’re welcome to keep doing video and film, but I’m headed in a different direction now. So it was a big shift for him, too.
He’s since made a complete transition and doesn’t do video work anymore, either—but it took him until about two years ago to really figure out what his next path was.
You’re leaving me hanging. I have no idea what it is.
Cheri Arellano: So he went from film and production, after all those years, and in 2021—because of COVID and all the craziness—we moved to Arizona. We wanted to sell our house in Berkeley and start fresh.
For about a year or two, he was really searching. And then one day he said, I want to work with autistic children. And I was like, Oh—okay. That’s a very honorable thing to do.
He went on this whole journey and became a behavior therapist for autistic children. Eventually, he returned to school and earned his speech pathology license, and now he works as a speech therapist with autistic kids.

You’re clearly a lifelong learner. You’re constantly absorbing new ideas and concepts. One way you describe yourself really stood out to me, and I want to read it. It’s a bit long, but I want to dive into it. You say:
“I am a Sirian starseed with a team of over 13 spirit guides, and Archangel Raphael was assigned to me at birth. Having billions of past lives, I was also a heavenly warrior angel who fought in the battle of the fallen angels at the very birth of light and darkness. I’ve also incarnated as a mermaid warrior, a general of the underwater realms who led our army into battle, just to name a few. When Earth—Gaia—was in danger of losing her light, I volunteered to leave my home planet and come to Earth to be one of the original keepers of the light, so that Gaia could thrive.”
How did you come to this knowledge?
Cheri Arellano: Over time—really, since that awakening in 2012. I explored many different avenues. I did past-life regressions, quantum hypnosis healing techniques, and sessions with channelers and Akashic Records readers.
Some of it I experienced directly through regression and hypnosis. For example, I saw myself as a general of an underwater army. I was tall and thin, with long blond dreadlocks that went all the way down my back. I was almost bone-thin. I swam up into this underwater cave, and then it turned into air. I stepped through the opening, and all the sea urchins and crabs scattered.
I walked down this dark, bioluminescent hallway that opened into a grand hall. There was a council sitting there, waiting for me to report on the war we were in.
There were many different kinds of beings, and I told them, We’re winning the war overall, but we lost the last battle. That experience was incredible for me—especially because I’ve always loved mermaids. I grew up in Miami. I always felt like a fish in the ocean. I was constantly in the water. I got my scuba diving license when I was 13.
It really resonated with me as truth because I saw it. It wasn’t something someone told me—it came from my own experience.
Some of the other information came through readers, channelers, and Akashic Records sessions. What’s interesting is that when I wrote that bio, I was only aware of my Sirian starseed lifetime. Since then, I’ve learned that my first soul origin was actually Acient Lyran. I was an alchemist in that lifetime, working with plants, which felt incredibly meaningful.
I’ve also learned about many other lifetimes, as different kinds of beings. I’ve been a Pleiadian starship commander, a galactic librarian… There are so many. It’s kind of wild.
I know one of the things you offer—among many modalities—is a starseed reading to help people understand their galactic origins. I’m curious about two things. First: how do you do that? And second: how is it actually helpful for the average person?
Cheri Arellano: We go into a session—almost like a healing session—and I tap into your higher self. My higher self connects with yours. I use divination with a pendulum, and I ask where your original divine spark came from—what star system you originated in when God first gave you that spark.
Do you have all the star systems on a chart?
Cheri Arellano: Yes—exactly. I have a chart, though not every system is named. We don’t have names for all of them. Some places exist beyond what we currently know.
I list the most well-known star systems, then ask your higher self for your top three incarnations. You may have originated as one type of being and later incarnated elsewhere—Sirian, Lyran, Andromedan, and so on. Starseeds are billions of years old. Our souls are ancient. Some of those beings lived for a thousand years, so one lifetime there is much longer than what we experience on Earth now.
As for how it helps, most people who come for a starseed reading are already on a spiritual path in some way. They may be at the beginning, in the middle, or well along the way. They might already meditate or connect with their guides.
So if I tell someone, You’re Pleiadian, and you also have three Pleiadian guides, five Lyran guides, two archangels, and time spent on Sirius, then when they meditate, they can call on their guides by name. They can say, I’d like to connect with my Pleiadian guides, my starseed family. Please help me understand my mission on Earth. Show me a glimpse of a past life. Reveal what’s in my highest and best good.
It creates a bridge between them and their spirit family—their starseed family. And people often come back to me and say, I saw blue lights in my living room after calling in my Pleiadian family. I’m getting chills just talking about it.
They feel empowered. It gives them a sense of belonging and purpose. It’s not necessarily the first step, but it’s an important step in aligning with their soul path.
Once we understand why we’re here—as lightworkers, light beings, starseeds, however you want to describe it—it helps us ground into who we truly are and how we’re meant to serve. Almost everyone I work with already has an innate desire to help—to heal, protect the planet, work with people, give back in some way.
The reading helps solidify that. People often say, Oh, that’s why I’ve always been this way. They’re often the black sheep of the family, too—and it helps them understand that as well.
In terms of healing and working with starseeds, how would you describe yourself? If someone asks, “What do you do? What are you bringing to the world?”
Cheri Arellano: I consider myself an energy healer. I work with a modality called Crystalline Healing Light, and I’m also trained and certified in Quantum Psionics.
Quantum Psionics was actually my first modality—when I officially “hung up my shingle” as a healer. I went through all three levels of training. When I first encountered it, I remember thinking, Wow—what is that? I felt immediately pulled to it.
It involves divination, and many different healing tools associated with the modality can come through during a session, depending on what the client’s higher self needs. The higher self is really running the session. I’m divining, acting as the middle person, and activating different healing tools for the client.
The work is very fifth-dimensional and higher. I almost went down the shamanic path, but my guides were very clear: You need to go up. Shamans go up, but they also go down—they work in the lower dimensions and bring people back up. My guides told me to stay in the fifth dimension and higher.
This modality aligned perfectly with that. It uses sacred geometry, Arcturian healing codes, flower essences, and essential oils. I send the frequency of these healing tools to the person receiving the session.

Wow. And who is your sweet-spot client—the people you feel most equipped to serve?
Cheri Arellano: I’ve helped all kinds of people, but a few recent clients come to mind.
I met a woman at an expo conference. She told me, I’ve lost my light. I don’t know my purpose anymore. I’m depressed. I can’t get out of bed. It was like the lights had gone off for her. She was grieving and had gone through a series of really difficult experiences.
I did a healing session with her, and afterward she wrote me a beautiful testimonial. She said, I got my light back. I got my groove back. I started painting again. It was a complete 180. It’s actually hard for me to talk about this work sometimes because it’s very effective—it really works.
Another client is someone I’ve become friends with. She’s an incredibly advanced seer—she reads souls. She can access what she calls the soul vault, which she describes as even beyond the Akashic Records.
She felt called to a DNA crystalline reprogramming session right away and asked me to work with her. I’ll be honest—I was a little nervous because she’s such a powerful seer. But I did the session, and she loved it.
We worked on limiting beliefs and unconscious programs that were affecting her day-to-day life. We also went back and healed the ancestral lineage through the DNA. When you heal the past, you heal the future—so healing yourself can heal both your ancestors and your descendants.
It was a very powerful session. She could actually see everything I was doing, which was wild. She didn’t tell me until afterward, but she said, I saw you go up, then these light codes came down. And I was like… What?
You just described Crystalline Holographic DNA Reprogramming. How do you actually do that? What does it look like in practice?
Cheri Arellano: My teacher lives in Portugal; her teacher is originally from Brazil. Her teacher co-created Quantum Psionics® with someone who worked in radionics. I studied with my teacher, Raquel Sacramento, for several years, completing all of the levels. And, I am currently studying the Advanced Crystalline Healing Light modules.
After that, she developed her own modality called Crystalline Healing Light. One of the tools we use is a board—a divination tool. It’s essentially a number chart that represents a portal. Sometimes I’ll place a crystal on the board to represent the person I’m working with.
The board itself doesn’t do anything—it’s a visual helper. As I divine, different tools come through based on what the client’s higher self needs, and I send those healing frequencies to the person using the Crystalline Healing Light modality.
What do you mean by “tools”?
Cheri Arellano: They’re all numbered. Depending on what comes up, the tools might include the violet flame’s healing frequency, white crystalline healing light, flower essences, or a crystal like rose quartz. Sometimes sacred geometry symbols come in. Sometimes dragons come in.
I have a chart of 93 dragons, and one may show up wanting to work with you.
When it comes to DNA reprogramming specifically, we start by making a list of what you want to release—limiting beliefs, old patterns, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, whatever you’re struggling with. Then we make a list of what you want to call in—more love, joy, abundance, compassion, romance.
We unwind what’s no longer serving you and reprogram in what you do want—through intention, higher-dimensional healers, and your own higher self’s willingness to participate.
You really have to want it. I could do this all day, but if you’re not in agreement—if you’re not open to it—it won’t work.
I’m more like the guide on the journey. I call in the archangels, higher-dimensional healers, and your own spirit team to assist with the work.
Amazing. I want to talk about Divine Light Codes for a few minutes. How did essential oils come into your life?
Cheri Arellano: I’ve been working with essential oils for myself and my family for over 20 years. I’ve always had them around. I’ve always felt called to heal naturally, using alternative methods rather than traditional ones.
A friend eventually introduced me to doTERRA oils. They’re very high-quality—an MLM based out of Utah. I started using them, but one day Spirit said, You need to make your own blends.
I didn’t really like their blends—most of them didn’t smell good to me. Sorry, doTERRA—I love you. So I started making my own.
I taught myself alchemy—there’s an actual science to blending essential oils. Then Spirit told me to infuse them with crystals so the oils would take on the crystals’ healing properties.
I found bottles where you can place crystals inside. I designed my own roller tops because the ones on the market leaked, and I didn’t want to create something like that. The roller ball itself is a lapis lazuli crystal, and there’s lapis lazuli inside the bottle as well.

Is the roller ball itself a crystal?
Cheri Arellano: Yes—the roller ball is a crystal.
I created a full chakra-balancing line—ten chakras, from the Soul Star all the way down to the Earth Star. Each blend is focused on a specific chakra. For example, the throat chakra blend is called I Am Truth.
Depending on what you’re working on—intuition, enlightenment, connecting with your guides, speaking your truth, opening your heart, self-love, romance—you can choose an elixir that supports that part of your spiritual practice.
And of course, having been a graphic designer, it’s so beautiful. The packaging is just… I’ve seen a lot of blends, people making their own at home, and it often looks like it came straight out of a home office printer. This is high-quality. Really beautiful.
Cheri Arellano: Thank you. Yeah—having a background in graphic design definitely helps. It really does.
How many blends do you have now?
Cheri Arellano: There are ten in the chakra-balancing line. Then I have a line for emotional and physical healing as well.
That includes I Am Protected, I Am Confident, I Am Relieved—which is my headache and muscle pain blend—I Am Rested, which is for sleep, I Am Focused for ADHD and anyone who needs help concentrating, and I Am Peaceful, which is more of a relaxation blend.
I can already imagine myself just taking all of them, putting a big rubber band around them, and rubbing them all over my body at once. Like—just get everything at the same time. I’m happy to do a promotional video.
Cheri Arellano: I love that.
So how many total?
Cheri Arellano: There are sixteen total—plus one more that I haven’t mentioned yet: I Am Blessed. This is my newest collection.
I received a download from Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, and Hathor. I combined rose and blue lotus and created a separate line called I Am Blessed. And honestly, it’s been my best seller.
People love sprays. I don’t know what it is, but they really do. This one is a fine-mist spray—rose water and blue lotus—that you spritz on. It’s a frequency lifter. Rose is actually the highest-frequency flower on the planet—it’s been scientifically measured. So it’s rose, blue lotus, and rose quartz crystals in the bottle.
All of these are under the brand name Divine Light Codes—is that right?
Cheri Arellano: Divine Light Codes® is my main business name, and Divine Light Essentials is the sub-brand for all of the product lines.
Got it—Divine Light Essentials. And you’re selling these on your website and at expos, too?
Cheri Arellano: Yes, both. I do in-person expos. I’ll be at the Sedona Ascension Retreat in March, and I’ll be at Soul Search this weekend with Tanjila. I’ve also done events like the Tucson Gem Show, plus various pop-ups here and there.
And just to quickly shout out my newest product—the body oil. You slather it all over after the shower. It’s a moisturizer with rose, blue lotus, and amber. It’s to die for.

I love it. That’s amazing. All right—so for people who want to work with you as a healer, where should they go?
Cheri Arellano: Everything is on DivineLightCodes.com—my healing services, the shop with all the products, the blog, and everything else there.
You mentioned you’ll be at the Sedona Ascension Retreat. Mandy and I are excited to be there—it’ll be fun to finally meet you in person. Tell me what you’ll be doing there, both your talk and your exhibit booth.
Cheri Arellano: Yes! I’ll have an exhibit booth right by the entrance—you really can’t miss it. I’m so grateful to Suzanne for giving me that spot.
I’ll have all the oils with me, along with some crystal jewelry. I also make bracelets—like this one, I call my Wonder Woman bracelet. It’s clear quartz with selenite. I’ll have bracelets, necklaces, and a few other special pieces.
Then on Sunday, I’ll be speaking. I’ve been giving this talk on starseeds for over a year now, where I educate people on how to know if they’re a starseed, what it means, how to discover what kind of starseed they are, and why it matters.
This year, though, I’ll also be weaving more of my healing work into it. I’ll be talking about my healing modalities as well, which I haven’t really done at that event yet.
Which social media platform are you most active on?
Cheri Arellano: Yes—I’m most active on TikTok. I know that can be controversial, but it’s honestly the best platform for me right now.
Why is that controversial? Help me understand.
Cheri Arellano: Well, while we still have it.
There’s a lot of fear in the spiritual community around TikTok. The narrative out there is about data, China, and all that. But I feel very safe on the platform, and the engagement is completely different.
I have a real community there. I host a Starseed Circle that meets once a month on Zoom—it’s a support circle for starseeds—and most of those people found me on TikTok. I go live, talk about starseeds, healing, and sometimes my oils. I mix it up. I even do sound healings at night.
People actually engage. They comment. They interact. I never really had that experience on the Meta platforms—Instagram and Facebook often feel like crickets. And I’m not the only one saying this. A lot of creators I follow feel the same way.
On TikTok, people want authenticity. Engagement feels natural. On other platforms, it sometimes feels like even liking a post costs people energy. TikTok feels like the opposite.
So I encourage people to move out of fear and just try it. You can always leave if it’s not for you. I am also on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube—but TikTok is where I feel most connected.
Cheri, it’s been so great connecting with you. Thank you for the work you’re doing in the world, and for the level of professionalism and heart you bring to it.
Cheri Arellano: Thank you so much, David. This has been a wonderful interview. I really appreciate your questions and your time. Thanks for having me.
