There is a kind of preparation that transforms you—even if the moment never arrives.
It started as a possibility—an opening that, at first, didn’t seem like a big deal.
I was on a group call with a well-known business mentor. The kind who speaks in effortless metaphors and drops life-altering clarity mid-sentence. The kind whose private clients pay $150,000 a day to sit with him.
At one point, he mentioned he’d be in my area later that week and casually said, “If anyone wants to meet up, let me know.”
My body responded before my mind did. I lived three hours away, but there was no way I was going to miss an opportunity like this. I raised my hand.
What followed was not a formal invitation or a fixed time. There were no details. No location. No plan.
A possibility.

The Art of Staying Open
For two days, I hovered in a strange emotional space between readiness and uncertainty. My mentor was booked on a flight—I knew which airport—but that was all. I kept checking my phone, watching for updates. Not obsessively—well, maybe. I was trying to stay steady and attuned.
I knew the window might close as casually as it had opened. Still, I stayed available to it.
That availability became an opening to something greater.
Preparation
By that evening, I was nervous. I knew I had to do more than merely show up for this meeting. I wanted to meet it with clarity. Intention. Depth. I didn’t want to stumble over my words, embarrass myself, or leave wondering if I’d squandered the moment.
I began drafting questions and clarifying what I wanted to bring to the conversation. If I only had a few minutes with this man, what would I want to ask? What would I want him to understand about me? About my work? About where I’m heading?
And then came the familiar resistance: going blank. Vagueness. The silent worry that arises when the words won’t come, and you fear they never will.
So I did what I guide others to do.
I walked myself through my own frameworks and processes. There’s a particular kind of clarity that only shows up when you experience how it feels to be truly seen and heard, deep within.
I sat with the questions that I offer my clients: What do I most need right now? What would be worth naming? And more honestly, who would I want to be in that moment?
I stopped trying to find the right thing to say. And instead, asked: Who am I becoming as I prepare to say it?
What I Remembered While I Waited
There’s a reflection I often return to. Our mentor had challenged us with it early in the course: “Imagine you’re on a plane—first class, naturally—and someone turns to you and asks, ‘So, what do you do?’ Can you answer that simply and clearly?”
Usually, I’ll give a descriptor like, “I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner trained in spiritual psychology.”
Technically, it’s accurate. It can start a conversation. But it’s not nearly enough.
I help people remember who they are.
I walk with them through inner shifts—emotional, spiritual, energetic—that change how they live, lead, and relate to the world around them. I hold a space where they can access clarity, coherence, and awaken their own inner knowing.
What I do is walk with people through the space between chapters.
The space between the life they’ve built and the life that’s calling them forward.
I hold the container while they remember what they’ve always known.
I help them anchor that knowing in the body so they can live it.
My clients are often strong, brilliant, spiritually aware, and emotionally literate women. They are the ones others turn to for wisdom. But they’re tired of holding everything, all the time, for people who cannot—or will not—recognize or appreciate the depth of what they offer. They want to come home to themselves. They want something more profound, authentic, uplifting. They don’t need more content—they want to spiral up.
That’s the space I hold. That’s the transformation I model, until these amazing women learn to embody it for themselves.
Noticing the Real Shift
As I sat with all this, something inside me started to click into place. It wasn’t about creating the perfect web copy or elevator pitch.
It was about reclaiming confidence in my voice and speaking from the still point. Returning to the truth I already carry. That’s the heart of my work—helping others tune into the unique frequency inside themselves.
So I sat with my soul. I wrote. I clarified. I remembered.
And when I did, I noticed something else: I was holding myself differently. Not because I was going to meet with someone influential, but because I had risen to meet the version of myself who was already ready.

The Message
I had just loaded my overnight bag into the car. Keys in hand, I was programming my GPS for a stop along the three-hour drive where I could check my messages and confirm the final destination. That’s when the message came through.
His flight had been cancelled.
There would be no meeting. No coffee or conversation. No opportunity to ask questions, impress, or exchange brilliant insights. And yet… standing in my kitchen, I didn’t feel disappointed.
Because the clarity had already come, the presence had already arrived. The meeting I was preparing for turned out to be with myself.
The Deeper Truth
There’s a quote from Jim Rohn that always makes me stop and think: “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
For 48 hours, the inner circle of my world included someone I truly admired—someone whose integrity, clarity, pace, and vision inspired me to think bigger and gave me faith that I could actually realize my dreams.
As it turns out, you don’t have to be in someone’s presence to feel their impact.
Even preparing to meet someone who operates at that level can create a shift. The anticipation stretches you. It sharpens your language. It asks you to speak with greater precision, courage, and truth.
That’s the power of resonance.
It tunes you—before you ever arrive in the room.
What I Know Now
It’s tempting to believe the breakthrough happens once the door opens. Once the offer comes. Once the right person sees your work and calls it valuable. But more often, the real breakthrough happens in the preparation.
In the pause.
In the moment you choose to rise, even if no one is watching. You don’t need to be chosen to choose yourself, or a spotlight to speak with clarity. You don’t need a meeting to occur to embody who you already are.
If You’re in the In-Between
So often, we feel like we are holding our breath, waiting for a break. A confirmation that what we hold within us is really ready to be brought into the world. If that’s you, remember that no action is ever wasted; everything has a purpose.
Every step you take, both backward and forward, can be used to advance your purpose if you are willing to examine it and learn from it. If you are willing.
Not every opportunity leads to the outcome we hope for. But a strong intention sets things in motion. Something that every cell of your body will match and work to bring to life.
Every thought and every word matters. Everything you need is already inside you.
Prepare like it’s happening, see it, and feel the victory.
Trust that your path is unfolding as you walk it.
Because even if the moment doesn’t come, you can still become a version of yourself you once could only imagine.
TAKE ACTION: You don’t have to wait to arrive. You don’t need permission or a perfect moment. The resonance is already happening—because something in you is already rising.
SPIRAL UP™ is where that rising becomes real.
A soul-rooted journey to remember who you are, reclaim your clarity, and rise with sovereignty.
This is your invitation to tune in—before you even enter the room.
If you’re ready, explore the journey.
"Every step you take, both backward and forward, can be used to advance your purpose, if you are willing to examine it and learn from it."
