I’m really excited to hear about your backstory, especially since I know some big things happened to you in 2012. You describe yourself as just an ordinary person before that point. Take us back to your childhood, did you have some sort of faith experience or spirituality in your home as you were growing up? Or did that more enter later on?

Debbie Solaris: Honestly, I think it happened later on because I don’t recall any kind of impactful spiritual or paranormal event as a child. The only thing that stands out is that there were periods of missing time, moments I simply don’t remember—which is strange for me, since I usually have a memory like a steel trap. But outside of that, nothing spiritual really occurred in my childhood. That’s why I often describe my life before contact as very ordinary—I was just going through the normal human experiences.

I know that it wasn’t until you connected with your partner that he began to introduce you to some of these concepts. Maybe walk us through that progression.

Debbie Solaris: Absolutely. Back in 2002, I started dating my now husband. At first, he seemed like a pretty straight, square kind of guy. But I noticed he liked to read UFO Magazine and Paranormal Magazine. This was before the internet really took off, so those magazines were his go-to.

Did that turn you on or turn you off? Were you like, “Oh, that’s hot,” or “Ooh, this is weird”?

Debbie Solaris: Definitely the latter! I thought, “What is my boyfriend reading? This is weird. I don’t believe in this stuff.” I was really resistant and skeptical. But because I cared about him, I was curious enough to read some of the articles. Even though I didn’t consciously realize it at the time, I think that opened me up. It expanded my awareness and got me to consider possibilities beyond my limited perspective.

Still, for a long time, I didn’t believe in UFOs or extraterrestrials. I wasn’t into it at all. I’d read the stories with a questioning mind, always looking for a logical explanation for the phenomena.

At the time, what were you doing in terms of your career or vocation? 

Debbie Solaris: To give a little background, I was raised Roman Catholic in an Italian-American, military family—so yes, we were Catholic because I think 99% of Italians are! As a kid, I traveled a lot because my dad was stationed all over the world.

Later, I joined the military myself and spent six years on active duty in the U.S. Navy. My role was as a hospital corpsman, and I specialized in preventive medicine, which is basically environmental health or industrial hygiene. While in the military, I earned my bachelor’s degree in science and continued working in the environmental health field afterward.

That work was very science-based and, I would say, patriarchal—like the military itself. I also worked in IT at times, another male-dominated, structured field. So back then, I really didn’t have opportunities to dive into spirituality at all.

So you’re coming with more of this scientific mindset—thinking through the lens of medicine and health—and your partner is introducing you to these new concepts. I know you started attending classes and even visiting metaphysical stores. Talk to us about these out-of-body experiences. What happened? When did it happen? Walk us through the whole experience.

Debbie Solaris: Sure. I’ll give you the abridged version since it’s a long story, but here’s the essence. My husband was already interested in UFOs and extraterrestrials, so we went to a few meetup groups. At first, I was just going along because he wanted to go. Never in a million years would I have imagined myself becoming a contactee. If you had asked me back then, I would have said, “Oh, hell no. That’s not me.” My life felt so ordinary—I didn’t have any special gifts, I was working in science, and I’d built a practical life.

Then, in May or June of 2012, everything changed. I went to bed as usual, and what followed I believe was an out-of-body experience. I don’t think I was physically taken on board a ship, but when I came to consciousness, I was in a different reality—and I knew it wasn’t a dream. I’d had plenty of dreams and lucid dreams in my life; this was something else.

In higher dimensions, everything is crystal clear—even more vivid than our everyday reality. You see auras, energy, colors, and incredible detail. As I looked around, I realized I was on some kind of starship. But it wasn’t like the metallic spaceships you see in sci-fi movies. This one was a light ship—made of plasma or some luminous material. It felt both structured and organic, and I could sense it was conscious. The ship itself guided me down a hallway into a large space.

There, I encountered beings unlike anything I’d ever read about. My husband’s magazines always mentioned grays, tall whites, or mantis beings, but these weren’t like that at all. They were high-vibrational, radiating bright auric fields that made it hard to look directly at them. I caught glimpses of them in my peripheral vision—maybe four or five beings in the room.

Telepathically, they were instantly tuned in. Before I could even finish a thought, they were answering. I asked, “Where am I? Who are you? Why me?” They told me they were Arcturians from the Arcturus star system in the Boötes constellation. The room we were in was called the Orientation Room. Inside was a large holographic sphere that displayed a star map—showing me where Boötes and Arcturus were located. My mind was blown.

They explained I was on board one of their starships, located between the asteroid belt and Jupiter. When I asked, “Why me?”—since I wasn’t anyone special—they told me I was part of their star family. I had chosen a mission on Earth but had forgotten it. Two weeks earlier, I had prayed deeply for help for our planet. I had reached out to every celestial being I could think of, asking for assistance. They heard my prayer, and not only that—they were impressed. That’s when they decided I was ready for contact.

Looking back, I see there was a kind of preparation period. For six years, I had volunteered in animal-assisted therapy with my cat, Piglet. We worked with the American Red Cross, the Wounded Warrior Project, fallen heroes’ families, children, the elderly, and even Alzheimer’s patients. At the time, I thought I was just giving back to the community, but later I realized it was teaching me service. I even consider Piglet my first spiritual teacher—an extraterrestrial being in feline form, guiding me toward service to humanity.

The Arcturians showed me around the ship and answered many of my questions about Earth—about war, suffering, politics, and religion. Having been raised Catholic, I was stunned when they told me religion is a manmade construct, and that true connection to God comes through spirituality. We are all soul-shards of God, they explained.

At that time, I had struggled for years with depression, anxiety, even clinical treatment and medication. I was fearful of so much. But when the Arcturians told me I was part of their soul group—that they had been watching over me my whole life, along with my Earth family and my spiritual family—I felt something shift. What did I have to fear anymore?

And there was one more astonishing change. Since childhood, I had suffered debilitating migraines every couple of months—sometimes so bad I’d end up in the ER. After my encounter, they vanished. My husband noticed first: six months passed with no migraines. And here I am, thirteen years later, still free of them. It truly changed everything.

Toward the end of your contact, how did they send you off? What was the goodbye message, so to speak?

Debbie Solaris: They told me I had come for a mission—but they didn’t reveal what it was. I think they wanted me to discover it on my own. What they did share was that I was part of their family, descended from a long line of Arcturian ambassadors, historians, and scientists. That struck me, because I had spent years working in science, and there are even historians in my Earth family.

They didn’t outline my mission, but they allowed me to explore the starship and interact with other beings, including some Pleiadians who were also on board. It felt like they were inviting me to learn through experience. The timing of it all felt perfect. I went into that encounter completely asleep and came out of it a different person. My entire trajectory shifted in that one night.

Did you physically wake up in the middle of it, or did you wake in the morning with recollection?

Debbie Solaris: I woke up in the morning. From our perspective, I was gone about six to eight hours. But while I was there, it felt like months—time works differently in higher dimensions. I remembered everything vividly. I knew instantly that something extraordinary had happened and that I was never going to be the same.

The first person I told was my husband. At first, he thought it was just a crazy dream, but over time, he came to believe me and has been on this journey with me ever since. I didn’t tell many others at first. I was afraid of ridicule or being labeled crazy, especially after already going through years of therapy. But I also knew I needed to understand what had happened.

So that’s when you began diving into spirituality?

Debbie Solaris: Exactly. I wanted to understand what had happened to me, so I began taking every spiritual class I could find—both online and in person. Colorado is like starseed central; there are spiritual offerings everywhere. I studied in Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, and the greater Denver area. I was a sponge, not just taking classes but also reading constantly, researching, and trying to make sense of the nightly downloads I was receiving.

It was intense. Almost every night, I’d get streams of galactic information—about star systems, their histories, the beings who lived there, and how they were interconnected. At first, I thought I was going crazy. How could I possibly know all this? But the downloads were so consistent, I had to take them seriously.

That’s when I began searching for confirmation. I discovered writers like Dolores Cannon, who had documented similar material, and others like Alex Collier, Stewart Swerdlow. Each had a fragment of the story, but no one seemed to have the whole picture. That became my quest: to understand the full galactic history. It’s what I’m now writing about in my upcoming book.

Had you read about these systems before, or did the knowledge come from within you?

Debbie Solaris: It came from within me first. The knowledge was just there. Later, I found it echoed in books and teachings, which reassured me that I wasn’t imagining it. But in the beginning, it was pure download.

I didn’t start out as an Akashic Records reader—far from it. I was just a seeker. In fact, I stumbled into the Records almost by accident. During a Reiki class in Castle Rock, I told my teacher about the galactic downloads I was receiving. She said, “That sounds like you’re tapping into the Akashic Records.” I had never even heard of them. She explained what they were and told me she taught me how to read them.

So I signed up for her classes. From the very beginning, it was like flipping a switch—I had an instant connection. For some people, reading the Records requires a lot of practice. For me, it was immediate. I began receiving clear downloads, not just for myself but for other people as well. That’s how my work as an Akashic Records reader really began.

For people who aren’t familiar with the Akashic Records, how would you define them? Is there any difference between Galactic versus Earthly Akashic Records? Help us understand that briefly.

Debbie Solaris: The Akashic Records are the energetic records of the universe. They’re not like a physical library—it’s more like an energetic space that exists in the higher dimensions. Every being, every thought, every emotion, every experience throughout time is recorded there.

All of us contribute to the Records, and all of us can access them. You don’t need a special passcode or gift. Even the Bible refers to the Records—it calls them the Book of Life. I remember reading about that in Old and New Testament classes during my Christian university studies, and even back then, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be amazing to access the Book of Life and change people’s lives?” Little did I know that’s exactly what I’d be doing later in life.

As for Earth versus Galactic Records, there’s really no difference. The Records are the Records. For a long time, human consciousness was limited, so people were only accessing Earth-based information. But now, as our awareness expands and we embrace the reality of being part of a galactic family, we’re beginning to access Galactic Records as well. That’s what I teach in my Akashic classes—how to connect with those higher records and understand what we’re seeing, because it can look very different than the Earth-based ones.

And why would we want to access the Akashic Records? What’s the benefit?

Debbie Solaris: For many people, it’s absolutely life-changing. Here on Earth, we pass through what’s often called the veil of forgetfulness when we incarnate. We forget who we are, where we came from, and why we’re here. By tapping into the Akashic Records, we begin to recover our soul memories—our journeys across lifetimes, dimensions, even future probabilities.

This realigns us with our true essence as divine beings, conscious vessels of Source frequency. It helps people understand what they came here to experience and what their soul intended to create.

I’ve seen clients’ lives transform after readings—some find clarity about their work, others move to new places, or shift relationships. But most importantly, they step into deeper alignment with their authentic selves. That’s why I’m so passionate about this work, and why I love teaching others how to do it. It’s not just about accessing hidden knowledge—it’s about empowering people to live from their truest, soul-aligned place.

I want to backtrack before we get into the actual process of reading the Akashic Records. How did you make the transition from environmental medicine and health to doing spiritual work full-time—being a guide, reading the Records, and making that your main focus? Many of our listeners are in a place where they know they have gifts but wonder how to turn them into a vocation. How did that play out for you personally?

Debbie Solaris: It wasn’t an easy transition, that’s for sure. I started doing Akashic Records readings locally, mostly in person at first. Word spread quickly, and before long, I was also doing remote sessions. But in the beginning, it was just a hobby. By day, I worked at the county health department as an environmental health specialist. By night, I was giving readings. It was a way to supplement my income—and I saved every bit of that money.

But trying to live two lives eventually caught up with me. I was exhausted and getting sick. In 2016, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After treatment and recovery, I went back to doing readings, but I knew I couldn’t keep straddling both worlds. I told my husband I had to choose. He wanted me to stay with the health department because I was only a few years away from retirement benefits. So I hung in there, but my health kept declining. I knew if I didn’t make a change, I might not survive.

Finally, I asked the retirement office if there was a way to retire early. They told me I could purchase two years of service time for $20,000. I had been saving all my reading income, and that’s exactly what I used it for. In March 2019, I retired early with full benefits. Looking back, it was perfect timing—right before the pandemic. I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like to still be working at the health department during COVID.

The name “Debbie Solaris” also came out of this transition. It’s not my legal name. While I was still at the health department, I wanted to keep my spiritual work private. My managers were conservative, and they already thought I was unusual—I didn’t need them to know I was teaching about galactic history on the weekends! So I chose a name based on my astrology chart: I’m a Leo sun, and “Solaris” resonated. It stuck, and now it’s the name most people know me by.

For years, I felt like I was walking a tightrope—balancing my “3D job” with my spiritual calling. Retiring was my leap of faith. And then, six months later, Gaia TV reached out and invited me onto Beyond Belief. I filmed in June 2020, and the show aired that October; everything took off from there. The universe aligned once I fully stepped into my path.

I want to circle back to the actual experience of an Akashic reading. I’ve never had one before, and some of our listeners may not have either. What is that like? And I know you’re not taking on new clients—are you still doing one-on-one readings at all?

Debbie Solaris: Yes, I still do one-on-one readings, but I don’t take new clients anymore. I have over 3,000 people on my waitlist, so we’re just working through that. I also don’t do as many sessions now because I’m traveling, teaching, and speaking at events. But I still love working with clients directly.

One of your big focuses now is also training others to provide readings, right?

Debbie Solaris: Exactly. I’ve certified many readers through my program, and I list them on my website so people can connect with someone trained in this work.

Wonderful. So what is an Akashic reading actually like? What could someone expect?

Debbie Solaris: I’ll share my process, though every reader works a little differently. I was trained in Dr. Linda Howe’s method, which is Christian-oriented, though there are other, more metaphysical approaches as well.

When a client comes to me, I ask for their full name and birthdate. That’s not astrology or numerology—it’s simply the energetic link to their specific records. I begin with a “column of light” exercise to connect myself to both heaven and Earth, preparing to serve as the conduit. When I meet with the client—in person or on Zoom—I create a “divine heart triangle,” connecting my heart with theirs and with Source. That allows me to read their auric field and sense their star system connections.

After a brief space clearing, I open the Records using the Pathway Prayer Process. For me, it feels like a click in my head—suddenly, I’m connected, and the downloads begin. Accessing the Records engages all the clairs: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, even clairalience and clairgustance. Sometimes I’ll hear music, smell scents, or sense emotions. It’s a multi-layered experience.

The way I describe it is like renting a movie from someone’s soul library. I’m watching their story unfold, often starting at the very beginning—before physical incarnation—when their soul first individuated from Source. From there, I explain why they chose certain star systems, what experiences they’ve carried forward, and how all of that connects to their current life.

Most of my clients are starseeds, but not all. Whether they are or not, the Records always provide clarity, context, and healing.

If someone isn’t a starseed—meaning they haven’t had previous galactic lifetimes—does that mean Earth is their first incarnation?

Debbie Solaris: Yes, usually that means they’re a younger soul whose incarnations have all been on Earth. I’ve done readings for Earth souls, and they almost always know it. They’re not ashamed or disappointed; they embrace it. And when that’s the case, we simply explore their Earth lifetimes, which can be just as rich and meaningful.

How long does it take you to get connected and begin describing what you see?

Debbie Solaris: Honestly, it’s pretty immediate. I go through the Pathway Prayer more as a ritual for the client, but once I have their full name and birthdate, I can usually “click in” right away. The downloads begin almost instantaneously for me, and from there I’m simply channeling—describing everything I’m seeing and receiving.

Would you be willing to demonstrate that here with me?

Debbie Solaris: Let’s do it. I’ll go through the Akashic process just as I would with any client, and we can spend about ten minutes in the Records.

Wonderful. For context, you also train others in this work. You’ve created the Galactic Akashic Records program, a six-week training you offer once a year, and your next one begins on September 8, 2025. You even have a directory of certified graduates on your website.

Debbie Solaris: Exactly. Many of my graduates are now doing their own Akashic practices, and they’re wonderful. If someone can’t get a session with me due to the waitlist, they can work with one of my certified practitioners.

Would you walk us through a demonstration of what an Akashic Records reading looks like?

Debbie Solaris: Absolutely. I’ll go through the full process, just as I would with a client. I begin by setting sacred space, calling in only the highest vibrations of love and light, and asking that all guidance be for the highest good. I invoke the forces of light, the client’s guides and angels, and the Lords of the Records. Then I open the Records with prayer.

When I connected with your heart chakra, I immediately saw a very bright light. The first thing I received was that you are deeply connected to the Galactic Center. I also saw a connection to the star system Altair, located in the Aquila constellation—the eagle constellation—near the Galactic Center. You were once part of a galactic council there, with a mission focused on integrating spirituality.

Your essence carries a strong, divine feminine quality—not effeminate, but aligned with the nurturing and healing goddess consciousness of the universe. You are also connected with the angelic realm and the Elohim, and I sensed the blue-violet ray strongly in your field.

At one point, you chose to leave the higher-dimensional state of being pure consciousness and experience physicality more directly. I saw incarnations in the Lyra system, particularly connected with Vega, where you studied and taught spirituality within the mother goddess consciousness. You’ve always carried the imprint of being a guide and teacher.

Later, during the Lyran Wars, you experienced deep trauma—loss, abandonment, destruction of worlds. You survived and were relocated to Sirius, where you continued your spiritual path. I saw you both as a student and teacher in the Syrian mystery schools, working alongside ascended masters like St. Germain, El Morya, and Kuthumi, and aligned with angelic beings such as Archangels Ariel and Raphael.

Your overarching mission is to integrate spirituality into civilizations that are deeply materialistic or disconnected from Source. That’s why you’re here now—bringing expanded awareness into our world. It’s also why your work with Awakened Magazine feels so aligned. You’ve done this across lifetimes—guiding, teaching, weaving spirituality into the collective.

(Closing prayer) I then formally close the Records, thanking the Masters, Teachers, Loved Ones, and Lords of the Records. This is important, so that the client’s energy stays with them, and my energy stays with me.

So fascinating. I noticed your eyes were open during much of that reading. Is that always the case?

Debbie Solaris: Often, yes. It feels like a brain dump of information—an instant channeling. Sometimes I close my eyes if I need to zero in on an image, but mostly it just streams through me, whether my eyes are open or closed.

How do you guide clients afterward? Once someone receives all this information, what do they do with it?

Debbie Solaris: It depends on the client. Some are already spiritually tuned in—they just need confirmation, and they take it from there. Others need more direction. For them, I often recommend resources such as online classes, retreats, spiritual trainings, or connections with like-minded communities. I also offer affordable webinars on different aspects of the starseed journey.

I don’t see myself as a traditional coach, but I love giving people tools to integrate the information and move forward. Honestly, it’s the kind of guidance I wish someone had given me when I was first awakening.

On your website, you have a whole section called Galactic History that outlines the different lineages and star systems. It’s a powerful reference tool. I’d love for you to briefly explain how you see the role of the Arcturians on Earth. Then I want to ask you about the Draconians.

Debbie Solaris: The Arcturians are unique because they’ve always had their own consciousness. Unlike many star groups that descended from the Lyra-Vega soul group or came as refugees from the Lyran Wars, the Arcturians were never part of that lineage. They’ve always been distinct.

They serve as a kind of Stargate for souls. After death and before birth, souls pass through Arcturus to be processed. Because of this, Arcturians have always been deeply connected to the Akashic Records, guiding souls through transitions. They are spiritual guardians—overseers of the larger experiment of separation from Source that’s playing out in our universe.

They don’t intervene directly or “rescue” us. That’s not their role. But they do guide, protect, and support us. Many people have Arcturian guides, even if they’re not Arcturian starseeds themselves. Their presence helps balance the darker influences at play, offering light and wisdom as we navigate Earth’s challenges. As an Arcturian starseed myself, I feel honored to carry their imprint and soul memories.

And what about the Draconians? Some people on Earth even channel their messages. How do you view their role in contrast?

Debbie Solaris: First, I’ll say that not all Draconians are “bad.” Some have shifted to the light, so there are positive polarities among them. But overall, their history is very different.

Through the Records, I discovered something that surprised me: the Draconians didn’t originate in the Draco constellation. They actually came from another universe entirely, where they were dominant for a long time. Their arch-enemies there were avian beings, and after countless wars, the avians developed technology to remove the Draconians from that universe. Essentially, we inherited someone else’s problem—they were deposited into our universe and settled in Draco.

Draco itself isn’t abundant in resources, so the Draconians began conquering other systems to maintain access to energy and power. After the Lyran Wars, they expanded into Orion, establishing strongholds along with the Zetas and certain insectoid races. That became known as the Orion Empire.

When parts of Orion later shifted toward unity consciousness, the Draconians, unwilling to embrace that light, moved on to find new frontiers—including Earth. That’s why we still see their influence here, particularly within elite bloodlines, royal families, and certain power structures. They are shape-shifters, and sometimes I can perceive their true energetic form beneath the human facade.

So, while the Arcturians guide us through light and compassion, the Draconians represent the shadow side of this cosmic drama. Both are part of the polarity we’re meant to experience and ultimately integrate.

As we wrap up, tell us about your Galactic Akashic Records training. Who is it for, and what can people expect?

Debbie Solaris: The program is for anyone—beginners or advanced students. It’s a six-week course, offered once a year, with the next session beginning September 8, 2025. We designed it to be accessible yet deep.

The first three weeks focus on galactic history, because when you access the Records, you need context—you have to know what you’re seeing. Then the second three weeks are devoted to skills training. We meet twice a week on Zoom: one Q&A session and one practicum session with breakout rooms for practice. At the end, there’s a graduation ceremony and a certificate.

Graduates can use the Records in their own practices—whether as Akashic readers, Reiki masters, or other healing practitioners. And for those wanting to go deeper, I’m also creating an advanced Akashic course launching early next year.

And beyond the training, you also have other resources, right?

Debbie Solaris: Yes, my website DebbieSolaris.com has a big section on galactic history, plus recordings of past webinars—on everything from health for starseeds to navigating relationships. There’s also an events page with upcoming offerings, including a Mystery School at Sea cruise in March 2026.

As for readings, I’m no longer taking new clients. But I’ve trained over fifty certified Akashic readers, and their directory is on my website. They’re incredible practitioners, and I encourage people to connect with them.
