What if the crystals you’ve been drawn to your whole life were trying to tell you something?
Most of us have picked up a stone at some point and felt a quiet pull toward it, without ever stopping to ask why. In 1987, Isabelle Morton was simply trying to ease a family member’s pain with a gemstone when something unexpected happened. A presence appeared above her, inviting her into a series of conversations with the guardians of thirty healing gemstones, interviews she recorded and later turned into a book.
Decades later, after surviving a heart transplant and a near-death experience of her own, that early calling became her life’s mission. Isabelle Morton is the founder of the Gemstone Therapy Institute, advancing the art and science of energy healing through standardized training in diamond and gemstone therapy.
In this conversation, you’ll discover how her extraordinary experiences shaped her understanding of healing, how gemstones interact with the human energy field, and what she learned about love, consciousness, and purpose on both sides of life.

I want to hear about your journey with gemstones. When did you first become fascinated or interested in gems?
Isabelle Morton: I think most children are fascinated by pretty rocks, and I was no exception. But the turning point came in 1987, when I had an extraordinary spiritual experience that allowed me to meet with a healing council. They either assigned me, or perhaps it was my mission; I don’t remember whether it was presented as a question. It was more like, You’re going to do this.
That assignment was to interview the guardians of thirty different healing gemstones.
When you say “council,” was this during meditation, a dream, or were these actual people?
Isabelle Morton: No. I remember I was sitting in my bedroom. A family member was in a great deal of pain, and this being appeared and offered to help. At the time, my family was in the jewelry business, so we had therapeutic-quality spherical gemstones available to work with.
I worked with him, and the pain went away. Then it was as if he said, “By the way, I want you to meet someone.” This other being appeared off to the side, near the bedroom ceiling, and introduced himself. I was completely shocked.
Were you a spiritual person at the time?
Isabelle Morton: I was, but I didn’t believe in channeling. I didn’t believe you could have this kind of interaction. It simply wasn’t part of my life experience. Honestly, I thought I was going crazy. It all felt way over the top.
But at the same time, it was incredibly real. When I sat down with my tape recorder and began these inner-world interviews, everything happened so naturally. I felt completely in my element.
Who were you interviewing?
Isabelle Morton: It started with the Guardian of Amethyst. He was the first one and really set the stage. Then came the Guardian of Quartz, and others followed.
I would leave my body and enter these inner-world scenarios. There, these beings would appear, and we would discuss the gemstone’s past, present, and future on this planet. It was absolutely fascinating.
And you recorded all of this on an old-school tape recorder?
Isabelle Morton: Yes—a little handheld micro recorder. I had the recordings transcribed by an actual person, and then I worked with an editor. Eventually, it became my book, Gifts of the Gemstone Guardians, first published in 1989.
That’s the version that reflects my authentic experience. The book was later re-edited after my divorce, but if you want my original story, you have to find the 1989 edition.

So what did this open up for you? You and your husband were in the jewelry business, but not from a healing perspective. How did these experiences change the trajectory of your life?
Isabelle Morton: It meant coming to terms with things I didn’t realize I believed in and abilities I didn’t know I had. I didn’t know whether these experiences were okay. I didn’t know whether they were healthy.
Interestingly, this journey eventually led me out of that relationship, which turned out to be one of the healthiest things I could have done for myself. It allowed me to become the captain of my own ship, so to speak.
It took me fourteen years to get grounded and become comfortable with what felt right and what didn’t. During that time, I stepped away from all of it—until it eventually came crashing back into my life.
Before we go further, what’s the difference between crystals and gemstones?
Isabelle Morton: The way I see it, crystals are raw. They can be natural formations or pocket stones. A gemstone, however, is the pure essence of a crystal. It’s intentionally rounded so it can radiate its energy evenly in all directions and provide maximum healing value.
I have crystals behind me to support the energy of a room. But for people—and for pets—I prefer crystals that have been modified to work more directly with our energy fields.
So what was making you question whether these experiences were right for you?
Isabelle Morton: There were two things.
First, gemstones are rare. If the purpose of gemstone healing was to serve humanity, then it needed to be accessible—not reserved only for people who could afford expensive stones. That bothered me.
The second issue was how my channeling abilities were being used.
I don’t believe channeling should be used for personal gain. I didn’t feel comfortable with my abilities being used as a source of information for my husband at the time. That felt deeply wrong to me, and bluntly, it destroyed our marriage.
I believe channeling is a calling. It’s part of spiritual unfoldment. But for me, things changed after my near-death experience and heart transplant.
I no longer channel.
I realized I don’t have to surrender my body to another entity. If I need information, I can go to the inner worlds myself. I can visit what I consider a library. I can interview a guardian or a teacher if I choose.
I am free. I am sovereign. And that was the gift I was given.
So you stepped away and pursued something completely different?
Isabelle Morton: I did. I began writing books about liquid nutritional supplements. Ironically, the royalties from those books carried me through the most difficult period of my life.
They supported me through heart failure, through my heart transplant, and through my recovery. I couldn’t work during that time, so those books quite literally sustained me.
After the transplant, though, I realized the royalties were slowly declining, and I knew I needed to begin again.
Take us to 2005. What happened that year that changed everything?
Isabelle Morton: That was the year I received my heart transplant.
My heart had begun failing in 2002, to the point where I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t take care of myself or my children.
Then, in 2004, while I was in intensive care, I had my near-death experience. I remained in the hospital until February 2005, when I finally received a new heart.

Tell us about your near-death experience. What happened, and how did it change your life?
Isabelle Morton: I remember doctors and nurses surrounding me, trying to bring me back. My boyfriend at the time—who is now my husband—and my father were in another room watching me flatline.
Then suddenly, I was surrounded by light.
There was this beautiful blue curtain of light, and I was invited to step through it. Beyond it stood a line of beings, leading all the way up to a magnificent angel. But I was told, “No, you’re not going there. You’re going over here.”
I was given an assignment in an enormous library.
And I loved it.
My job was to bring information from higher levels of heaven and transcribe it into lower levels. I would go on these incredible adventures, gather information in the form of light, and write it into this enormous book. I even remember noticing that my handwriting was beautiful, which amused me because it’s terrible in this lifetime.
Then someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, “It’s time for you to reincarnate.”
I said, “No. I’ve earned the right to stay here. I’m happy. I don’t want to leave.”
I argued.
Then one of my spiritual teachers appeared and said, “Maybe we can do something about this.”
He and another being began searching through what looked like a basket of garments, looking for karma that would allow me to return to the same lifetime rather than begin again as a baby.
And somehow, time collapsed.
Moments later, I woke up. The surgical lights were overhead, everyone stopped CPR, and I was back.
But there was one thing they told me that has stayed with me ever since.
When I asked, “Why do I have to go back?” the answer was simple:
“You have more to learn about love.”
That has become the central theme of my life. Every experience eventually comes back to that question:
What does this teach me about love—divine love, unconditional love, and how to live it?
Thank you so much for sharing that. I know you wrote a book that goes even deeper into your story.
Isabelle Morton: Accepting Destiny.
So you come back from this experience, and of course, there’s a long road after a heart transplant. It’s been more than twenty years now. How is your heart doing today?
Isabelle Morton: It’s doing great, thank you.
That’s wonderful. I know you founded the Gemstone Therapy Institute in 2009. What gave you the courage, the vision, and the passion to begin this new chapter?
Isabelle Morton: It took me quite a while to adjust to all of the medications. Being a sensitive person, it was a lot to process. But soon after I returned home, I found myself reconnecting with the light I had experienced during my near-death experience.
And there was information I needed to write down.
In many ways, it felt like a continuation of the work I had been doing before, except now the lower level of heaven was the physical world. I began writing, and to my surprise, the information was all about gemstones—the very thing I thought I had completely removed from my life.
But there they were again.
I began receiving information about gemstone mandalas and how they could make gemstone energies more affordable and accessible to more people.
I was also given the technology to create a device called the Gemstone Energy Field Imprinting Device, or the GEFI for short. This device imprints the energetic signature of gemstones into a liquid medium—specifically, organic grape alcohol, which provides a stable shelf life.
If you simply place a gemstone in water or alcohol and leave it in the sun or moonlight, its energetic imprint lasts only a few days. That’s one reason you don’t see many gemstone elixirs available commercially.
But with the GEFI device, the energetic imprint remains stable.
So I found myself developing this technology, building the device, creating these mandalas, and learning how to interpret them. The numerology, the geometry—every aspect carries meaning.
It became an incredibly exciting journey.
I discovered that different mandalas could generate specific frequencies while remaining broad enough to benefit many people. One of the first mandalas I created was an Energy Clearing Mandala, which later became our Energy Clearing Aura Spray.
Its purpose is to gently clear unwanted energies from the field.
I also developed an EMR Clearing Mandala. Each mandala carries a specific intention, yet the frequencies are universal enough to support a wide range of people.
And what does a mandala physically look like?
Isabelle Morton: The plate itself is about this size, and the gemstones are arranged in precise geometric patterns.
Actually, I have an example here.
This is a representation of our Energy Clearing Mandala.
And each of these stones serves a different purpose?
Isabelle Morton: Exactly. These white stones are white beryl. They bring white light into the body, allowing unwanted energies to be released.
One of the core principles of gemstone therapy is that you don’t clear energy into a vacuum. The body doesn’t like emptiness. So instead, you replace what no longer serves you with a higher vibration.
It’s a kind of energetic exchange.
In the center, there’s a diamond, surrounded by sugilite spheres. The diamond helps extend the clearing process to the edges of the energy field.
We also use lavender jade to support alignment and chrysoprase to bring light up from the center of your being, helping the clearing process unfold naturally.
And these blue stones are Blue Lace Agate, which supports a gentle, rhythmic flow of energy throughout the system.

So you’re seeing these mandalas in your mind’s eye during meditation or channeling experiences, and then you recreate them physically. How does that process work? What do you place the gemstones on?
Isabelle Morton: It’s actually quite simple. The gemstones are arranged on a special plate according to a specific geometric pattern. That plate is then inserted into the GEFI device, while the receiving container—filled with organic grape alcohol—is placed inside as well. The energetic qualities of the gemstones can then transfer into the liquid.
And one of the most wonderful aspects of this process is that the gemstones themselves are never depleted. Their energetic qualities remain intact, which I think is very important.
And I should correct myself—these stones here are actually Rose Quartz. I misspoke earlier. Rose Quartz helps clear and support the emotional body.
One of the things that stands out about your work is your emphasis on scientific evidence. Even your presentation and branding feel very grounded and methodical. This isn’t what people might stereotypically think of as crystal healing. So help me understand the science behind it. How can a gemstone help someone heal, clear, or transform?
Isabelle Morton: We look at gemstones in terms of frequencies.
Every gemstone has a specific frequency based on its crystalline structure and molecular makeup. And our bodies are also made up of frequencies. When something falls out of balance, it can be helpful to introduce a frequency that supports and gently elevates that area.
We don’t simply say, “Amethyst is for this” or “Amethyst is for that.” We study how Amethyst moves energy. It has very specific energetic actions, such as moving energy upward, and specific areas where it tends to work—the crown chakra, the heart, even what I would call the nucleus or core of the cell.
By understanding these qualities, we begin to understand gemstones much like herbalists understand herbs. Herbs have actions, temperatures, affinities, and specific areas where they work. Gemstones can be studied similarly.
But perhaps the part of my work that is most important to me is the emphasis on testing and evaluation.
We assess where a person is energetically, apply an appropriate method, and then reassess. We observe how the person has responded, what has shifted, and where further support may be needed.
That before-and-after process is incredibly valuable. In my opinion, it’s something that’s often missing in energy medicine as a whole.
One of the things you teach through the Gemstone Therapy Institute is how practitioners can use gemstones for healing. And I know your certification programs are extensive—you’ve said this isn’t a weekend certification. But for someone completely new to this work, what are some of the ways gemstones can actually be used? Are they worn? Are they placed on the body? Is it done through sessions? What does gemstone therapy look like in practice?
Isabelle Morton: That’s a great question.
First, I want to clarify that the programs that take several years are designed for professional practitioners. But we also offer more introductory courses focused on self-care and personal healing.
And this is an example of what we call a Mini Gem Mandala—or, more specifically, a custom Gem Mandala.
And people can find these on Gem Formulas, correct?
Isabelle Morton: Yes, that’s right. We offer the individual gemstone spheres, the therapy wand, and beeswax for creating mandalas. But what I really love is teaching people to create their own mandalas—ones that are specific to their personal challenges, intentions, or healing goals.
And then, of course, they learn how to interpret them. The meaning isn’t based solely on the gemstones themselves but also on numerology, geometry, and how the stones interact with one another.
Tell me about this particular mandala as an example.
Isabelle Morton: Absolutely.
At the center is a Pink Sapphire. So immediately, I’m looking at lifting something—particularly something emotional. There may be an area of heaviness or collapse within the emotional body that needs support.
Surrounding it are four Freshwater Pearls. The number four has a strong physical emphasis, suggesting that whatever the Pink Sapphire is uplifting is also affecting the physical body.
The Freshwater Pearls provide what I think of as a lubricating quality. They help the lifting process happen more gently and gracefully.
Then there are six Chrysoprase stones. Chrysoprase helps bring light up from the center of the body, and the number six relates to self-mastery.
Taken together, this mandala can be very supportive when someone is feeling down, emotionally depleted, or overwhelmed by sadness.
In our chakra courses, we discuss energetic patterns that correspond with sadness and even varying degrees of depression. This type of mandala offers a relatively affordable way to work with gemstones in a supportive and uplifting manner—to help reverse those downward spirals and gently raise your energy again.

And how would someone use the wand—either for self-healing or to help someone else?
Isabelle Morton: For self-healing, I usually begin very simply. I hold the wand and point it toward my body, allowing it to connect with my energy field.
I don’t force anything.
I simply observe.
Sometimes the wand is immediately drawn toward an area, and sometimes it isn’t. For example, if I hold a gemstone necklace near me and I feel my body almost reaching for it energetically—it’s like hearing, I want that, I want that—that’s a sign that my body is asking for that particular vibration.
Other times, the wand may pause at a specific layer of the field. In this case, it stopped around what I would call my emotional or causal layer, and then it began to move in circles.
When you say it begins to move, what does that mean?
Isabelle Morton: There are twenty-seven archetypal movements of gemstones within the aura.
A circular movement means the gemstones are gathering information or gathering energy.
When the wand began circling near my heart, I understood it was collecting information there. Then it gradually moved downward toward my stomach. The circles became smaller and more focused.
After that, the motion changed into a vertical circle, which means the energy is being directed upward along the body’s central channel.
And then there was a small hesitation—a little jiggle.
That tells me the gemstones have encountered some disturbed or stagnant energy.
If I have my Energy Clearing Spray nearby, I can use it immediately to support the clearing process. It’s something I can observe happening in real time.
And that’s what you’re doing now?
Isabelle Morton: I locate the area again, and as soon as the movement becomes unsettled, I apply the Energy Clearing Spray.
Almost immediately, the movement calms.
I’m feeling a lot of activity around my heart now, and the energy is continuing upward, moving around the top of my head.
And I want to emphasize something important: I am not telling the gemstones where to go.
I’m following them.
I’m simply observing and following the movement’s guidance.
When the process feels complete, I ask for a gentle release.
I never pull the gemstones away before they’re ready. But when the timing is right, there is a graceful letting go.
That’s just one example of how gemstones can be used.
And what continues to amaze me is that, in all my years of doing this work, I have never seen two custom mandalas that were exactly alike when people create them for themselves.
Every person’s healing journey is unique, and somehow the gemstones reflect that beautifully.
I truly believe gemstone therapy offers a very accessible and meaningful way for people to begin exploring their own healing.

And just to give people an idea, this mandala is attached to the wooden wand with beeswax, correct? If someone wanted to create something like this, what kind of investment are we talking about? Hundreds of dollars? Thousands?
Isabelle Morton: Yes, the gemstones are attached with beeswax.
As for the cost, this particular mandala would probably come in at under $200. It really depends on the gemstones you choose. For example, Chrysoprase is relatively rare, which increases the cost somewhat, but many beautiful and effective mandalas can be created quite affordably.
Beautiful. And I know you brought some other examples to share.
Isabelle Morton: Yes. This is what we call a Therapy Wand.
The earlier example was a Therapy Rod, but this wand allows me to attach one of our gemstone necklaces directly to it. All of our necklaces close with a button clasp, so I simply loop it through here and wrap it around the wand.
This creates something much more active than simply wearing the necklace.
When you wear a gemstone necklace, the process is more passive. The energies radiate throughout your field, and your body naturally absorbs what it needs, where it needs it, and in the amount that it needs.
But if I decide, for example, that I want to work specifically with intuition, I can choose gemstones that nourish the brow chakra. White Quartz, Indigo Gabbro, and Charoite are all particularly supportive for intuition and inner vision.
By wrapping the necklace around the Therapy Wand, I’m creating a coil shape.
That coil amplifies the gemstone energies.
And when you combine that amplified energy with the movements that naturally occur within the field, your body receives the gemstone energies in a much more active way.
Again, I begin by observing.
The wand starts to circle, which tells me it’s gathering energy or information. In this moment, it seems to be working near my throat, which is probably where I need support right now.
And one thing that’s very important in gemstone therapy is that we honor geometry.
That’s why you won’t see me making random motions.
We don’t stir soup in gemstone therapy.
If I’m making a circle, it’s a deliberate circle. A careful circle. The geometry matters.
Of course, it’s easier to do this work with another person, but you can absolutely give yourself what I think of as a beautiful, energetic bath—a nourishing experience, almost like a spa treatment for your energy field.
I’m curious about something. Many people wear crystal bracelets or gemstone jewelry simply because they like how it looks. Is that accomplishing the same thing, or is something missing when there isn’t a conscious intention behind it?
Isabelle Morton: I would say yes—and no.
First, assuming the gemstones are therapeutic quality, they do what they do whether you’re consciously aware of it or not.
It’s very much like herbs. If you take an herb that helps you relax, your body responds because that’s the nature of the herb. The same principle applies to gemstones.
But intention also matters.
When we hold an intention, we’re engaging the mental body. And the mental body influences every aspect of who we are—our memories, our emotions, our physical body, our energetic body, even our cells.
You’ve probably heard the phrase mind over matter. There’s truth in that.
So if I intentionally wear a Blue Sapphire and say, “I want greater mental clarity today,” then that intention becomes part of how I work with the gemstone.
Blue Sapphire already supports mental clarity and addresses the energetic patterns associated with that quality. But my intention helps prioritize it.
I like to use an old-fashioned analogy.
There was a time when cream would rise to the top of a milk bottle. That’s what intention does.
Everything related to my desire for greater clarity rises to the surface of my energy field, becoming more accessible to the gemstone’s supportive qualities.
And I think that’s where the real beauty lies—the gemstones offer their gifts naturally, but our intention helps us receive them more consciously.
You’ve mentioned several times that you work with therapeutic-grade gemstones. What exactly does that mean? How are the gemstones you use different from something someone might buy at a metaphysical shop or a local market?
Isabelle Morton: That’s a great question because, honestly, you never really know what you’re going to find in those places.
The first thing we look for is purity. A therapeutic-grade gemstone should represent the pure essence of the crystal. That means there’s no matrix—the surrounding rock material is absent.
I often compare it to herbal medicine. When you prepare an herbal remedy, you’re not using the fibrous, non-essential parts of the plant. You’re using the purest and most active part. It’s the same with gemstones.
When I look at a gemstone, I want to see that it is true to itself. The color should be pure and representative of that stone. There shouldn’t be discoloration or rock inclusions. If it’s meant to be translucent or transparent, I want to see light moving through it. Clouds and internal fractures should be minimal.
Of course, some of the more precious gemstones may contain a few colorless inclusions simply to keep the price within reach, but those inclusions should never compromise the structural integrity of the stone.
Every gemstone has its own criteria, but overall, I’m looking for purity, clarity, and a color that fully expresses the nature of that crystal.
For example, with Amethyst, I look for a rich, vibrant purple that is evenly distributed throughout the sphere. Ideally, there are no fractures, and the color is consistent from every angle.

Most people wouldn’t know how to evaluate all of that on their own.
Isabelle Morton: That’s true, and that’s part of what we do.
We actually grade our gemstones—three A, four A, five A, and the rare six A, which is as close to perfection as possible. Those grades take into account purity, rarity, and therapeutic quality.
So when someone purchases a gemstone from us, they’re not just buying a beautiful stone. They’re receiving something that has been carefully evaluated for its energetic and therapeutic qualities.
You also work extensively with diamonds, and you have an entire website dedicated to them. Tell us about that.
Isabelle Morton: Yes, the website is HealingDiamonds.org.
What are the healing properties of a diamond? And I have to ask—these aren’t lab-grown diamonds, are they?
Isabelle Morton: Actually, the more I’ve learned about lab-grown diamonds, the more concerned I have become about them from a therapeutic perspective.
What makes a diamond therapeutic, in my view, is that it carries the seven Color Rays—the essential energetic frequencies that nourish us at the deepest level.
Those seven Color Rays are what I call our Blueprint Truth.
They are the frequencies that communicate with our organs, cells, molecules, and atoms. They remind the body how to heal.
When you work with a diamond that carries these energetic frequencies—not simply the visible fire that we see with our eyes, but the energetic spectrum behind it—the body remembers its original design.
And once it remembers, it can begin to realign itself.
I often use the analogy of a North Star. If healing is in one direction, but I’m moving in another, the diamond helps me gradually reorient toward that original truth.
What fascinates me is the precision of this work. Diamond therapy opens the door to an incredibly refined system of energetics.
However, only about 2% of all natural diamonds carry these Color Rays in the way we look for them therapeutically.
And that brings me back to lab-grown diamonds.
Visually, they can look identical to natural diamonds. In many cases, you can’t tell the difference without specialized equipment.
But energetically, for me, they feel empty.
There’s no signal there.
And this is important because our bodies naturally communicate through carbon atoms. Carbon is part of our blueprint connection.
When I work with a healing diamond, I see three things working together: the diamond crystal structure, the Color Rays, and our innate carbon blueprint.
With a lab-grown diamond, the structure may be there, but I don’t perceive the energetic signal.
My concern is that if the body expects that information and doesn’t receive it, it may gradually become more disconnected from what I call its Blueprint Truth.
That’s why I personally choose to work only with natural healing diamonds that carry these energetic qualities.
The principles you described for gemstones seem to apply to diamonds as well, though I imagine diamonds have their own unique considerations.
Isabelle Morton: They do. Diamonds require a different level of respect because they can be misused in ways that gemstones cannot.
You really can’t hurt yourself with gemstones. In fact, when I travel, I wear all of mine at once. They help me feel protected through airport security, on flights—everywhere. I protect them, they protect me, and we’re all happy.
Diamonds are different.
For example, I wear a therapeutic diamond in my ring, and that can’t be misused because the culet—the pointed part at the bottom of the diamond—is protected inside the setting.
But when a loose diamond is used incorrectly, it can create problems.
The culet directs a strong, energetic flow upward through the diamond and out through the table, creating a toroidal energy flow. This can beautifully support our own energy field. However, if that culet is pointed at the body inappropriately—except at certain specific energetic points—it can actually drain energy.
Historically, diamonds have been misused in this way. There was even a belief that negative energies or illness could be transferred into a diamond and discarded. My perspective is that energy doesn’t simply disappear.
That’s why I believe diamonds deserve great respect.
But that same level of respect is what allows us to work with them with incredible energetic precision.

You’ve also talked about imprinting gemstone energies into liquids. Is that similar to what people mean when they say they’re charging water or other objects with crystals?
Isabelle Morton: In my work, it’s a little different.
The GEFI device allows the energetic frequencies of a gemstone mandala to be imprinted into the molecular structure of organic grape alcohol. Because of the liquid’s structure, it can sustain that frequency in a stable way.
If you simply place a crystal in water, some energetic transfer may occur, but in my experience, the effect is temporary. The energetic imprint fades quickly, and over time, the gemstone itself may become depleted.
What about the opposite? Can you program a crystal? Can you tell it what to do?
Isabelle Morton: That’s probably where I differ from ninety-nine percent of crystal healers.
I strongly do not believe in programming crystals.
What do you mean by that?
Isabelle Morton: My understanding is that people might hold a crystal and say, “I want you to heal my stomach,” or “I want you to improve my digestion.”
But these gemstones have their own energetic nature. The gemstones I might be holding could have everything to do with intuition and nothing to do with digestion.
More importantly, I regard gemstones as conscious, sentient, and sovereign.
I would never try to program my husband to behave in a certain way. I might ask for his help, and I trust him to respond in the way that feels right to him.
I feel the same way about gemstones.
I don’t want to impose my thoughts on them or tell them exactly what to do.
The gemstones know more about us than we do.
When we bring them into our field, they read our energy. They know where their frequencies are needed. Our own energy field guides them to where they can be most helpful.
So I trust the gemstones.
I trust them to know what they do best.
Let’s talk about the Gemstone Therapy Institute. What is your mission? What are you hoping to bring into the world through this work?
Isabelle Morton: My vision has remained the same from the very beginning.
I want to bring gemstone therapy out of the world of “woo-woo” and into a place where it is respected—where there is proper training, thoughtful analysis, and a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology.
Think about modern medicine.
Without understanding physical anatomy and physiology, we wouldn’t have surgery. Without microscopes and an understanding of how the body functions, we wouldn’t have pharmacology.
In the same way, part of my work is helping map the anatomy and physiology of our energy bodies so that energy medicine can develop a stronger foundation.
For me, energy medicine isn’t meant to replace modern medicine.
My heart transplant saved my life. I will never dismiss modern medicine.
I believe the two can work beautifully together.
Modern medicine works with what we can see.
Energy medicine works with what we cannot see—but what we can learn to evaluate, recognize, and work with in meaningful ways.
What are some of the courses available for people who want to learn more?
Isabelle Morton: At a high level, there are five areas of study: Gemstone Therapy, Diamond Therapy, Color Ray Healing, and Chakra Healing.
We also offer introductory classes. There are free courses in Diamond Therapy and Gemstone Therapy, including one called Beyond Crystals and another called Diamond: The Master Crystal.
There are introductory lessons on color healing, chakra work, and many other topics.
And I have a YouTube channel through the Gemstone Therapy Institute where I regularly share videos and teachings because I genuinely love sharing this work.
There’s also an extensive blog library for anyone who wants to explore further.
So there are plenty of opportunities for people to begin, even for free.
Isabelle Morton: Absolutely.
And for those interested in therapeutic gemstones themselves, what would you like people to know about Gem Formulas?
Isabelle Morton: Honestly, I would encourage people to visit simply for the beauty of it.
In our gemstone gallery, you’ll find photographs and descriptions of all of our stones.
Sometimes I just sit and marvel at what the Earth has created.
The Earth gives us herbs to support our physical bodies.
And it gives us this extraordinary mineral kingdom to support our energetic bodies.
To me, that’s a beautiful gift.
Before we finish, is there anything else on your heart that you’d like to share?
Isabelle Morton: Yes.
There’s a quote from Nikola Tesla that has always stayed with me:
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.”
And my own version is this:
If you want to discover the secrets of true healing, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.
I truly believe that.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and your wisdom today. I love how accessible you’ve made this work.
Isabelle Morton: Thank you so much. It’s been a pleasure.
"For me, energy medicine isn't meant to replace modern medicine. I believe the two can work beautifully together. Modern medicine works with what we can see. Energy medicine works with what we cannot see—but what we can learn to evaluate, recognize, and work with in meaningful ways."
