In today’s world, life feels like a constant balancing act. We’re managing our jobs, raising kids, answering to bosses, juggling deadlines, and trying to carve out even a sliver of time to spend with our loved ones. We’re also attending birthday parties, and not to mention trying to squeeze in a workout here and there in between meetings.

But here’s the thing: no matter how hectic life gets, I truly believe that spirituality is the key that unlocks a more elevated, aligned life.

Now, before we dive in, let me be very real with you. Just because I own a spiritual business and guide others through their own journeys doesn’t mean I have it all figured out. I’m still human. I still stumble. I still get frustrated when life throws me a curveball, and there are days when spirituality feels like an uphill battle.

In fact, I remind myself every day that I’m still a student of spirituality.

For me, spirituality is about unlocking door after door, lesson after lesson, and constantly striving to grow. It’s not easy. Unlocking those doors takes work—real work. And that’s where I want to meet you today: in the messy, chaotic, beautiful reality of life, where spiritual work isn’t perfect, but it’s possible.

So how do we do it? How do we fit spirituality into the little cracks and crevices of our jam-packed lives?

Let me start by saying that spirituality isn’t just for gurus, yoga instructors, or priests. Sure, you might think, They have all the time in the world for spiritual work. But trust me, even their lives are full of obligations, personal struggles, and busy schedules. It’s not easy for anyone.

And yet, spirituality doesn’t have to be this huge, all-consuming practice. It’s not about sitting in meditation for hours or retreating to the mountains for weeks at a time (though those things are wonderful if you can do them). For most of us, it’s about the small, simple things we can do in the margins of our day.

The Water Lily Pond, 1899 by Claude Monet

The Water Lily Pond by Claude Monet

Think about a Monet painting—his famous The Water Lily Pond for example. He didn’t create this masterpiece in one bold stroke. It was built with delicate brushstrokes, layer by layer, until they became something extraordinary. That’s how you bring spirituality into your life: one small, intentional moment at a time.

Here are a few small but deeply impactful examples of how you can start to incorporate spirituality into your busy life. These are just a handful of ways to shift from 3D to 5D, where your soul can connect with your spirit team—including passed-on loved ones, guardian angels, and archangels—as well as God, Source, or the Universe. These aren’t the only ways to practice spirituality, and they don’t need to be done all at once.

The beauty of spirituality is that it’s deeply personal, and what works for one person might look completely different for another.

But the following examples are a great starting point to inspire small shifts that can have a meaningful impact:

  1. Take a Walk and Really See the World Around You.
I’ll be honest—sometimes I take walks just to catch up on business calls or mentally map out my next move. But when I take a walk and actually tune in? It’s transformative. Listen to some high-frequency music and pay attention to what’s around you. Taking time to carve out moments of silence and being present was such an eye opening moment for me to remember “It’s okay to take breaks to go outside and touch the grass.” It’s another form of being productive. These moments, when you disconnect from the 3D world and tune into the 5D, allow your soul to align with your spirit team and God, Source, or the Universe.
  1. Write Something—Anything.
It doesn’t have to be a full journal entry. It could be a quick thought on the back of a receipt. Write down what’s on your heart—gratitude, struggles, or a dream you’re working toward. These simple acts create a direct channel to your higher self and spirit team, including passed-on loved ones, guardian angels, and archangels, who often send you clarity in these moments.
  1. Personalize Your Space.
This one is so simple, but trust me, it works. There were times I would get caught up in keeping up my balancing act of juggling work priorities with personal responsibilities. Whenever I had sliver moments of free time I would personalize my space. I would go to the store, pick out a bouquet, and take the time to prepare them—trim the stems, arrange them in a vase, and place them somewhere in your home. Every time I saw those flowers, they shifted the energy in my space and reminded me of the beauty of creation, a gift from God and the Universe. Personalizing your space is unique to each person; it can take on many different looks. It can start off as taking it slow, by making or buying items whether they’re poems, books, framed photos
  1. Create Community Who Uplifts You.
Not the coworker you vent to about deadlines—I’m talking about leaning on a community who truly understands you. The ones who help you laugh, feel supported, and shift your energy. Every time you connect with them, your frequency is lifted, and that’s spiritual work.

The Bigger Spiritual Investments

There will be times when you can do more. Maybe it’s attending a church service, joining a meditation group, or booking a Reiki healing session. These bigger commitments allow you to disconnect from the 3D noise entirely and fully immerse yourself in the 5D, where your spirit team, passed-on loved ones, and guardian angels can deliver guidance, healing, and inspiration.

But don’t underestimate the power of small moments. They’re just as impactful because they’re what sustains you every day.

So, here’s the deal: whether you’re trying to unlock the door to a healthier relationship, a career that lights you up, or simply more peace in your life, the key is spiritual work.

And I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t have it all figured out. I’m still working on unlocking my next door. I’m still learning lessons, doing the work, and having those aha moments when my spirit team, God, Source, or the Universe reveals the truth to me.

Spirituality isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up for yourself, even in the smallest ways. It’s about walking through life with open eyes and an open heart, ready to learn, grow, and be better than you were yesterday.

So my challenge to you is this: find those tiny crevices in your day—like Monet, and his masterpiece, The Water Lily Pond, one delicate, intentional brushstroke at a time. His strokes were small, soft, and deliberate, yet when layered together, they created a timeless work of art that captures the serenity and beauty of a world often overlooked. In the same way, take the walk, write the thought, buy the flowers, or call the friend. Each of these small acts, like the gentle strokes of Monet’s brush, is a piece of spiritual work that brings you closer to unlocking the life you’re meant to live—a masterpiece in progress. And that’s where the magic begins.
