If the Universe Had a Middle Finger, It Was Aimed at My Launch

Let me guess.

You followed your soul. You meditated. You saged the hell out of your Zoom room. You wrote the copy from a place of Divine alignment. You felt the frequency of this offer in your bones.

And then… crickets. Or worse—tech glitches, zero sales, or a refund request from your only paying client. Noooo.

You lit the candle. You pulled the cards. And now you’re wondering if Spirit is trying to tell you something. Something like:

“Hey, girl, maybe this isn’t your path.”
Or maybe:
“You’re not ready.”
Or maybe the most demoralizing one of all:
“You’re just not good enough.”

I’ve been there. I had a summit launch that hit the fan so hard it made me consider selling crystals at flea markets or opening a llama sanctuary in rural Vermont. (Which, to be fair, still sounds pretty cool.)

I was running my first summit. There are a LOT of moving parts in an online summit – landing pages, speaker pages, sequenced emails, VIP upgrades & the list goes on. I’d always told myself that “tech wasn’t my thing”. So, I hired a VA (for the first time). She came recommended by someone else with whom she ran summits. If I’m being totally honest, I didn’t know the person who recommended her; besides, I was desperate! After a quick chat with her, we were off to the races. It seemed to flow pretty smoothly at first. I was interviewing the 21 guests & creating the images while she handled everything else. We were in touch daily about what was done & what needed to be accomplished next.

When the summit started, there were a few glitches. My VA handled them, but not as soon as I would’ve liked (sometimes taking up to 12 hours to respond). I was fielding all the complaint emails & relaying them to her. At some point, she stopped responding to me. I was frantically contacting her because the event was live & there were some major issues. At some point, she responded, “I don’t have time for this. I’ve got more important clients I’m working with.” Ummm. Whaaaat? There were about 6,000 people signed up for and engaged in my 7 day event. After a quick change of underpants, I got to work. There were a lot of tears, long hours & many long conversations with tech support. In the end, it turned out ok. 

Here’s what I’ve learned—after 27 years of psychic healing, business building, and walking the line between quantum downloads and Google Docs: Sometimes, the Universe isn’t testing you.

Sometimes, you’re just upgrading your nervous system, your knowledge & gifts to match the magnitude of what you’re calling in. I learned a lot of tech stuff during that summit mess. But, I now know that I can handle any technical thing that comes my way! I also learned NOT to make decisions based on desperation. I now tune into my heart & marinate on any business decision for 1 or 2 days before I make the decision. Your heart will show you the way.

The Spiral of the Spiritual Entrepreneur

You know the one.

You do everything “right”—aligned branding, soul-matched pricing, even breathwork before launch emails—and then nothing lands. Your brain whispers, “This must be a sign.” But it never clarifies what.

So you start spiraling:

• Am I out of alignment?

• Did I miss a download?
  

• Is Mercury in retrograde again
  

• Should I go back to the safety of Reiki circles and barter systems?
  

Here’s the truth bomb most spiritual entrepreneurs avoid:
You can’t interpret energetic resistance from a place of emotional chaos.

You’re too close to it. And too wired to spot the lesson clearly when you’re drowning in disappointment and deciding if selling pics of your feet is in your future.

What’s Really Happening When It All Falls Apart

What if that “failed” launch wasn’t a failure at all?
What if it was sacred feedback from the field of infinite potential?

Here’s what I see over and over again in my clients’ quantum fields (and in my own when I put my “big girl” pants on and look):

• You’re not out of alignment—you’re outgrowing your current container.
  
• The offer didn’t flop—it revealed a blind spot in your energy or strategy.
  
• You’re not being punished—you’re being positioned.
  

The Universe doesn’t hate you. It just doesn’t support you staying small.

How to Stop Spiraling and Start Reclaiming Your Power

When it all feels like a cosmic middle finger, here’s what to do:

1. Ground & Balance. Seriously. You can’t quantum leap if you’re untethered. Feet on the floor. Deep breath. Push your roots from your feet deep into the earth. Feel the energy coming up and expanding all the way to your “branches”. Remember that the tree is the ultimate symbol of balance. As deep and wide as the roots go, that is how high and wide the branches are. Pull the energy of the Divine through your branches, all the way down to the bottom of your roots. Repeat this 10 times or more – until you feel calm and centered.
2. Ask: Am I triggered, tired, or truly being redirected? Not every “block” is a message. Sometimes you just need a nap. Or food. Or a better launch plan. 
3. Journal prompt: What would the version of me who already succeeded see here that I can’t yet? (Because she exists. And she knows.)

Spiritual Leadership Is Not for the Fragile

You didn’t come here to play small. You didn’t incarnate to be liked by algorithms or coddled by your comfort zone. You came to lead. And sometimes leadership looks like sitting in the wreckage of a launch with grace, grit, and the willingness to get radically honest. You must walk through the fire to show others the way. 

So no, the Universe isn’t out to get you.

But it will clear the damn path if you’re still clinging to strategies, offers, or identities that no longer serve your mission.

Let them go. Not with fear, but with reverence. You GOT this!
