Most people live ordinary lives, but my guess is that you desire something extra-ordinary…something you’ve never experienced before. And, if that’s the case, you must be willing to do things you’ve never done before!

I believe that the secret to an extra-ordinary life is experienced through conversations.

Awakened Magazine - David Trotter

Every relationship is essentially an ongoing conversation. Who do you connect with throughout your day? Your spouse, partner, friends, family, co-workers, retail workers. How about yourself? How about the Divine?

Many of these relationships lack the conversations that lead to the extra-ordinary life you truly desire. If you want different results, you must be willing to change the conversations you have with others, with yourself, and even with the Divine.

Otherwise, you’ll find yourself repeating the same conversations over and over again until you heal something within yourself.

  • Let’s make sure we’re on the same page:
  • Conversations are the key to obtaining what you truly desire.
  • Every relationship is an ongoing conversation.
  • If a relationship isn’t thriving, the conversation must change.
  • You’ll keep having the same conversation until you heal something inside yourself.

So, what’s holding you back from having the type of conversations that create the life you long for? It’s one simple thing…you’re lying to yourself. Remember when a parent or teacher would ask, “Are you telling me a story?” Well, you’re telling yourself (and others) a story…a lie.

Awakened Magazine - David Trotter

I’ve been telling the same two stories over and over for much of my life.

I’ve become an expert storyteller, weaving these plot lines into conversations for years. The first story (or lie) is, “People don’t like me and don’t want to be around me.” I started telling this story around fifth or sixth grade. When I entered a room, I would unknowingly tell myself that these people wouldn’t like me or be interested in knowing me.

The second story I loved to tell myself was, “You’ll never be ______ enough. Never. No matter what you do.” Depending on the scenario, I’d fill in the blank with not smart enough, good-looking enough, hardworking enough, or nice enough.

Conversations reveal the stories (or lies) we’re telling ourselves…the lies we believe about almost anything. I’m not talking about intentional falsehoods. I’m referring to the stories we concoct in our minds (fueled by emotions from painful experiences) that don’t usually align with reality.

We tell lies about ourselves that prevent us from embracing our true identity and potential. We tell lies about other people, painting them as bad, mean, or out to get us. We tell lies about the world, convincing ourselves that there’s never enough time or money or that things will always be hard. We even tell lies about the Divine, fearing punishment or believing the Divine isn’t for us.

These lies hold you back from creating the life you long for.

Whether I’m coaching a seasoned executive, an eager entrepreneur, or a work-from-home parent, the one thing holding every person back is the stories they’re telling themselves.

Usually, it’s one of these five:

  1. I am not enough.
  2. I am unworthy.
  3. I am insignificant.
  4. I am unlovable.
  5. I don’t belong.

How did we come to believe these lies? In early childhood, we experienced stimuli for the first time, and our primary goal was survival. When hungry, wet, or uncomfortable, we cried out for help. We simply reacted to our environment without the ability to process or reflect on our experiences. This continued for the first five to seven years of life.

Imagine all the challenging experiences you encountered during your early years that you couldn’t process or reflect upon. What did you do? Your brain made up stories to make sense of the pain and disappointment that comes with being a differentiated human being on Earth rather than a pure, creative spirit in complete union with the Divine.

These stories weren’t based on facts or reality but on the emotions experienced during painful or disappointing moments. Your unconscious mind, where these stories, emotions, and beliefs reside, has one purpose: to keep you safe (physically, emotionally, spiritually, relationally, financially). The unconscious aims to help you survive life. Unfortunately, the beliefs held in the unconscious are often detrimental to creating your desired reality.

The first awakening occurs when you realize you’ve been telling yourself stories (lies) that aren’t helping you achieve what you truly long for.

The second awakening happens when you discover a third layer of consciousness with the power to heal pain, rewire your brain, and change the stories you’ve been telling. This layer is your superconscious—the consciousness of your spirit that existed before you were born.

If your unconscious wants to keep you safe and your conscious wants you to enjoy life, your superconscious wants you to live as your highest self.

Your superconscious is your direct connection to the Superconsciousness of the Divine. It is more you than any other part of you.

Your superconscious knows…

  • You are divine.
  • You are a pure, creative spirit.
  • You are loved and enough.
  • You have access to all the resources you need.
  • You are here on this planet to learn, grow, and love.

Just as you can dive below the surface of your life to access your unconscious and become aware of your internal stories, you can soar above and start accessing your superconscious.

For me, accessing my superconscious is like removing invisible ceilings from my life and gaining a heavenly viewpoint, discovering supernatural powers I never knew I had access to. It’s heavenly…not in the sense of a place in the sky, but a higher place from which to see my life with clarity, free from the cloudiness of those stories that fogged my true view.

Awakened Magazine - David Trotter

Would you like to access your superconscious for a moment?

Quiet your mind. Align your conscious mind and heart with what your superconscious already knows.

“Superconscious…
I am a child of the Divine. I am a pure, creative spirit. I am enough.
I don’t have to be or do anything else to be enough.
I have access to all the resources I need to live out my dreams.
I am safe. I am okay. I am loved.”

Next, acknowledge that you’ve made up stories about yourself, others, the world, and the Divine to survive.

“Superconscious, I’ve told myself stories to survive the disappointment, pain, and trauma of life. I recognize that the beliefs connected to these stories prevent me from creating the life I long for.”

This is where powerful and life-changing things can begin. It’s like tapping into the essence of who you are—the part that had a pre-birth conversation with the Divine, the part that knows why you came to this planet, and the part that can heal pain, rewire your brain, and start telling new stories.

“Superconscious, I give you permission to access my unconscious and work your magic. Detangle my emotions from painful life experiences. Tap into Divine Superconsciousness and bring healing to the places within me that still hurt, whether I realize it or not.”

As I wait, I’m aware of the thoughts, feelings, and memories arising in my mind and body. I’m not searching for them but simply waiting to see what arises. As something comes to mind or a feeling arises in my body:

“Superconscious, I acknowledge the feeling and the experience, and I release the story I told myself to survive. Please heal that pain, disappointment, and trauma within me right now.”

My superconscious has access to the healing powers of the Divine, and I’m calling on all the supernatural medicine available to let go of the lies I’ve told myself and experience the healing needed to create my desired reality. Healing or lessening negative emotions connected to painful events reduces day-to-day triggers over time.

If you want to create an extra-ordinary life, conversations are the key to obtaining what you truly desire. Every relationship is an ongoing conversation. You’ll keep having the same conversation until you heal the pain, stories, and beliefs in your unconscious by tapping into the power of your superconscious—the consciousness of your spirit that has existed forever and has direct access to the superconscious of the Divine.

Superconscious Conversations - David TrotterOur world needs what you have to offer!

Your hopes and dreams aren’t just for your benefit but for the benefit of others. Don’t let the lies in your unconscious hold you back from creating the extraordinary life you long for. Tap into the power of your superconscious and experience deep healing. Our world needs you to embrace your true identity. Our world needs your superpowers to bring light, love, and healing to our planet.

If you want different results, you must be willing to change the conversations you have with others, with yourself, and even with the Divine.
