At the same breath of the New Moon in Leo we enter into a Mercury Retrograde in Virgo. The external refresh with the internal processing feels a little at odds but like our breath it’s just an inhale and an exhale.

The New Moon in Leo will be exact on Aug 4th at 4:13am. Mars and Jupiter form a sextile with the moon giving it a little punch of action and determination, making sure we step towards what we desire. It has the ability to make moves and help celebrate momentum.

Your inner light is essential to your outer connections. What you love must be nurtured from inside and outside. Leo is ruled by the sun. We associate Leo with the heart chakra. The sun is the center of our universe, what we revolve around. It is where we belong and also where we strive to be. It is everything we love, the light we radiate out, and also what we take in.

With Leo we have the power to put that love and light into action. It’s backed with confidence and a radiating glow like the sun.

Return to yourself. Find your confidence, your boldness, and your spark and start to live like you mean it.

Mercury Retrograde in the sign of Virgo crashes the party that evening. An indication we’re going to be reminded of things that need a little review, ways we are uncomfortable, and things that are shifting. Virgo has an energy of order and pokes and prods where we need to find more alignment. This doesn’t mean we can’t shine but it means there is room for pause and reflection in the midst of the freshness of the new moon.
