What if the light you’ve been searching for outside of yourself has been within you all along—waiting to be remembered?

For Natalie Namaste, awakening wasn’t a single defining moment but a lifetime of subtle (and sometimes extraordinary) experiences: childhood visions in South Africa, streams of healing light flowing through her body, near-death encounters that revealed the power of frequency and color, and eventually, the courage to leave behind conventional careers to step fully into her role as a healer and teacher. Along the way, she discovered her unique connection to 120 angels, built a sacred retreat center in Nicaragua, and began guiding thousands of students through Reiki, soul healing, and channeled wisdom.

In this conversation, Natalie shares how to embrace challenges as gateways to liberation, why presence is the truest path to clarity, and how following the authentic pulse of the heart—rather than ego or programming—leads to freedom and expansion. Natalie Namaste - Awakened Magazine

What do you sense is unfolding on our planet right now, given all the things we are seeing happen?

Natalie Namaste: We are going through what feels like a great birthing canal—a metamorphosis. The angels show me that this was always part of the plan. They often remind me, “Natalie, everyone who is on Earth right now responded to the call of Mother Earth’s vibration.” We are all meant to be here, and this is a powerful time of awakening.

It’s like being in a dream. When the dream is pleasant, you may enjoy it, but quickly forget it after waking. But when the dream is frightening or chaotic, you often wake yourself up. That’s what’s happening now on Earth: the intensity is prompting us to wake up. For so long, many of us have identified only with our constant stream of thoughts or with the character we play—“I’m just Natalie, with thoughts and feelings.” But we are more than that. We are what exists before the character, before birth itself. We are awareness. We are consciousness.

This moment in time gives us the chance to remember who we truly are. If everything were only beautiful and easy, we wouldn’t have reason to ask the deeper questions: Who are we? What is really happening? The strong polarity of this era—the light and the shadow—is helping us awaken. We all have an inner critic, a judging mind, but we are being invited to see where our thoughts restrict us and keep us from experiencing the infinite light of who we are.

That’s why I feel this is such an incredible time to be alive. Angels and light are streaming in to support us through this transition. Old patterns and systems are breaking down because they no longer carry the vibration of the future we’re moving toward. We’re dissolving conditioning, questioning our beliefs, expanding our minds, and returning to our hearts. Communities are forming, people are remembering their own beauty, and more of us are choosing to lead with love.

The Earth mirrors this transformation. Seismic activity, erupting volcanoes, and even the increase in solar flares—all reflect the release of what no longer serves its purpose. Just as the sun releases energy with ease, or a tree lets go of its dead leaves, we too are being asked to surrender what is outdated. In doing so, we open ourselves to the light we truly are, reconnect with our souls, and begin living from that space of love.

Could you take us back to your childhood—where you grew up, and how you began to experience things beyond your five senses, even at an early age?

Natalie Namaste: I was born in South Africa and spent my first twenty years there. Even as a child, I carried this deep knowing that we are so much more than just physical beings. I remember being five or six years old, sitting in the back of my mom’s car, looking out the window at people, buildings, objects. I suddenly asked myself, ‘If none of this existed, what would be there?’

In that moment, I had a profound sensory experience. Everything went dark and light at the same time. I felt as if I were in a cocoon of love—expansive, full, empty, and spacious all at once. That feeling planted a deep knowing inside me, one that kept me asking questions and seeking to go deeper.

As I grew, I began channeling streams of light through the top of my head, flowing down through my body and out of my hands, eyes, and heart. I knew this light could heal and help others remember who they are. So I shared it freely—with people, plants, and animals. When I told my mom, she was sometimes supportive, sometimes fearful.

How old were you when this began to happen?

Natalie Namaste: I was very young. Honestly, I feel the angels have been with me always.

Natalie Namaste - Awakened Magazine

And your mom was supportive of this?

Natalie Namaste: Yes and no. My mom is bipolar, so at times she would join me—praying together, connecting with angels, listening to the messages I received. But at other times, she was afraid and told me this was the work of the devil. Looking back, I believe I chose her before I was born, just as I chose my dad, who has always been loving and accepting of me. With my mom, I learned how to read energy, to sense whether I was safe, and to tune into her moods. That ability sharpened my intuition and helped me develop a strong sensitivity to frequencies and emotions. I can actually feel other people’s physical symptoms in my own body.

As a teenager, more experiences unfolded. At sixteen or seventeen, I was working in a coffee shop, watching people pass by, and I began to see colors and lights around them—often a golden hue. I devoured spiritual books, but after a while, the words themselves would dissolve into energy. Rooms would shimmer and shift into energy as well.

One day, while studying marketing, I was sitting on the floor of my room, blow-drying my hair. Suddenly, a large mirror and a little dictionary flew across the room and landed beside me—without breaking. My roommate ran in, alarmed. I tried to brush it off as the wind, but she looked at me and said, “Natalie, that was not the wind.”

Soon after, I received a clear message: Look into the mirror. Look into your eyes. Look into your soul. When I did, I could feel the essence beyond the body, beyond the character of Natalie. Then came another message: Open the dictionary to the first page you find. I did, and the word staring back at me was “hush.” The message was clear: stop being in the mind all the time. Be still. Just be.

How did you intentionally cultivate these gifts over the years, and what ultimately led you to serve people with them in a full-time capacity?

Natalie Namaste: A friend recently reminded me, “Natalie, you’ve always known you’re a healer and a teacher—you came here to help.” And it’s true: even in my teens, I knew the light that moved through me and the messages I received could bring peace and healing. I also channeled loved ones who had passed, which brought comfort to many.

As my gifts became stronger, I would pick up things about people simply by being around them. Yet I realized it wasn’t my place to read energy without permission. I needed support to ground these gifts in a healthy way. That turning point came when I was eighteen and went through my first heartbreak. After a three-year relationship ended, I knew it was time to find a teacher.

I discovered a holistic healing course that focused on reading auras and working with energy centers. During one practice session, I was asked to work near a client’s feet. She had already lost one leg to gangrene. As I tuned in, I received the clear message: If she doesn’t stand on her own two feet in her relationship, the same condition will appear in her other leg. My teacher encouraged me to share this, and together we helped the client understand how to create boundaries and shift her relationship dynamics. I was only eighteen, but the messages were incredibly precise.

My teacher recognized my gifts and took me under her wing, training me to develop my psychic abilities, stay grounded, and close down so I wasn’t constantly receiving information. That training helped me flourish.

By the time I was twenty-three, I had moved to London and was working as a marketing executive at Wembley Arena. It was exciting—meeting stars like Kylie Minogue, attending concerts, and loving the buzz of it all. At the same time, my marketing manager was a Reiki master, and through her, I trained in Reiki.

When the cold English winters became too much, I left for Indonesia and Thailand. In Indonesia, I completed my Reiki master training. Right after that initiation, though, I experienced a near-death crisis. I contracted cerebral malaria, the most dangerous form, and was airlifted to Singapore. My organs were failing, and doctors told my parents to prepare for the worst.

Yet while in the hospital, I moved in and out of my body, spending time with the angels. They taught me how to use frequency, light, and color to heal. By applying what they showed me, I completely restored my body. I walked out of the hospital with no lasting damage—nothing wrong with my brain or the organs that had been shutting down.

That experience reaffirmed everything. It showed me how powerful we truly are, and it was a clear calling to teach, to share, and to help others. If I could heal myself with the angels’ guidance, anyone can. Part of my mission is to bridge the angelic realm with people here on Earth so they can remember their own power to heal and transform.

What was it like for you to transition from a traditional job to offering your healing work full-time? Was it smooth and easy, or more of a challenge?

Natalie Namaste: Actually, it was smooth for me because from the very beginning, whatever job I held—whether waitressing or other roles—I was always offering healing. I gave sessions freely, simply because I loved the connection and the growth it brought me. Over many years, I kept training, developing my gifts, and sharing them.

After living in Thailand, I worked on superyachts, serving royalty and celebrities. Even there, I infused Reiki into my service. I was earning my income in the 3D world as a chief stewardess, but I was still quietly living as a healer. It was a beautiful merging of two worlds.

Then came a pivotal moment. I was on a yacht in Mexico, sitting on the bridge. I loved the crew, I loved the work—but I received a clear message: It is time. Go to Costa Rica. Do your yoga teacher training. Step fully into this path. I told my captain, and he said, “Natalie, when you came back from that ten-day silent retreat, I noticed the change in you. I knew this was coming.” He was incredibly supportive. In fact, part of my interview for the job had included giving him a Reiki session—so he understood.

So I left the “traditional” way of earning money and gave myself two full years to create space. I wrote retreats, designed workshops, taught yoga wherever I traveled, and offered healing sessions. Slowly, I began asking for energy exchange, and little by little, the financial side grew. I wasn’t pushing myself; I had saved for those two years, and I allowed creativity to guide me.

My husband and I were traveling through Central America when we came to Nicaragua. We found a beautiful property, Hotel Brio, and knew: This is it. We bought it, and I began offering sessions locally. Word of mouth spread, and soon I was very busy with in-person work.

Then COVID hit. Everything stopped. The angels told me, “Natalie, go lie in a hammock for a week. You’re about to get very busy.” At the time, I thought, But I’m already busy! Still, I listened. By day five, I felt this surge from my soul: It’s time. That evening, I messaged my clients to let them know I was available online. Instantly, the bookings started coming in.

From there, everything flowed with ease. Because I wasn’t forcing or pushing from my lower mind—I was making space for my soul to guide each step. Now, my courses draw fifty or sixty people, compared to just a handful in the beginning. It feels heart-led, divinely guided, and deeply aligned.

Your name, Natalie Namaste, is beautiful. Is that your legal name, or one you chose to represent yourself? Why is it meaningful to you?

Natalie Namaste: Thank you for asking such a thoughtful question—I love exploring this. When I got married, I had to apply through the German embassy to change my surname to my husband’s. My ancestors are German, and while we were waiting for the paperwork, we left the country to travel. In that in-between space—between my old surname and the new one—I felt there was something else calling me.

Years earlier, I had created a website called Namaste Light, so Namaste had always been part of me. Namaste means the light in me sees and honors the light in you. That has always felt like my vibration, because part of my gift is the ability to hear, see, and feel people deeply—to meet them at the level of their soul.

So I simply began introducing myself as Natalie Namaste, and over time, it became who I am. When I looked at the numerology, I discovered that “Natalie” equals eight, the number of infinity, and “Natalie Namaste” together also equals eight. Eight is my soul’s purpose: to infinitely expand and to help others expand into consciousness while living in a body. It felt perfectly aligned.

Over time, I began signing certificates with it. It became my brand, my vibration, and truly an expression of my soul’s essence.

Natalie Namaste - Awakened Magazine

You’ve studied and integrated many modalities over the years, but Reiki has been a major emphasis for you. How has Reiki personally impacted your life, and how do you use it to help others?

Natalie Namaste: Reiki is woven so deeply into me that I sometimes forget how essential it is to my path. Rei means universal, and ki is energy—it’s the divine, universal life force that flows through everything.

Reiki has been one of the greatest tools in my life. It helped me heal myself from depression, and I’ve seen it transform countless lives. Because of that, I’ve channeled my own Reiki manuals and courses. For me, Reiki isn’t just a certification process—it’s a deep inner journey, a spiritual awakening, a coming home to your soul.

In my trainings, I channel the angels and help my students connect with themselves at the soul level. It’s sacred work, and I love facilitating it. Over time, this has grown into more than I ever expected. For example, I’ve created a Reiki Hub where anyone who’s trained in Reiki—whether with me or another teacher—can gather monthly. For two hours, we connect, I channel guidance, and I mentor them in stepping into their power as light.

I’m constantly amazed by what unfolds, because I’m not creating from ego or strategy. I don’t always know what’s coming next. Often, students or clients will ask me to create something, I’ll feel into it, and if it resonates, I’ll birth a new course or group. It feels less like I’m building it and more like it’s flowing through me.

You’ve mentioned that you channel angels—specifically 120 of them. How did you connect with them, and why is it 120? How do they work through you?

Natalie Namaste: When I was about sixteen or seventeen, working in a coffee shop, a psychic woman pulled me aside and said, “Natalie, you came to Earth to help with ascension. You have 120 angels working with you, and it all starts with yoga.”

At the time, I didn’t fully understand, but the number 120 always stayed with me. When she said it, I opened up to feel and hear the angels more clearly. They don’t come through as many different voices—it’s one voice, one frequency.

Over time, I understood the symbolism. The “1” represents oneness and masculine energy. The “2” is polarity—our dual experience on Earth. And the “0” is the feminine, the ever-flowing continuation of life. Together, 120 reflects the balance of masculine, feminine, duality, and infinite flow. That’s the vibration they bring through me.

When the angels enter, I hear frequency changes in the space. Sometimes I interpret their words, and other times they speak directly through me. Afterward, I feel waves of heat, tingling, and light moving through my body. It takes me a little while to return fully to “being Natalie” as my lower mind settles back in. They don’t just bring wisdom—they transmit energy, and people can feel it.

What do you sense their mission is in working through you? And why angels, specifically, rather than other guides or masters?

Natalie Namaste: My sense is that when I’m not in physical form, I vibrate at the frequency of an angel. Many people have called me an earth angel, and I believe that resonance is why they come through me.

Being angelic isn’t about wings—it’s about qualities: compassion, love, and the ability to deeply feel others. Because of that, I’m an energetic match for them. I work hard to stay a clear channel by dissolving ego, questioning my beliefs, and clearing anything that could block me. The angels meet me at that level of resonance.

That said, I also channel other beings—loved ones who have passed, people’s guides, even their own souls. More recently, I’ve felt a connection with the Arcturians. But the angels are my strongest resonance, and so they come through most often.

Natalie Namaste - Awakened Magazine

Would you be open to sharing a message from the angels with us today?

Natalie Namaste: Yes, absolutely.

(Natalie takes a few breaths, opening space for the angels to speak.)

Channeled Message from the Angels:

Dear beloved beings of light, we are here to remind you of the essence of you. You have a mind, but you are not that mind. The mind is powerful and strong, but you are consciousness having a human experience. You are the infinite in finite form. The more comfortable you become with this paradox—the infinite and the finite—the deeper your journey unfolds.

See yourself as the fullness of consciousness while also savoring the miracle of human life. Pay attention to the micro-miracles: the feather on your path, the butterfly that lands on your shoulder, the unexpected kind word from a stranger. These are our ways of reminding you that everything is one great miracle. You—an expanded state of light—have condensed into physical form. That alone is extraordinary.

As you release what no longer serves, more light is held in your body. Remember, you are intuitive because you are a soul. It is your soul that communicates into your body and mind. Empty out, expand, and listen. Ask us for signs, and we will show you. Be here. Be here now. Receive the light and wisdom flowing through these words, and notice the sensations of release, expansion, and illumination within you. You are the miracle. You are the light.

When you channel, do you remember what has come through, or does it fade quickly?

Natalie Namaste: In the moment, I can recall it. But it fades quite fast. I probably remember only about five percent of what I channel, which is why I often re-listen afterward.

Earlier, you spoke about remaining a clear channel—being aware of the ego, dissolving limiting beliefs, and staying connected to yourself. What encouragement would you offer to those of us who want to cultivate a clearer channel for ourselves?

Natalie Namaste: Presence is the gateway to your true self. Your physical body only exists in the present moment, which makes it a portal. By bringing awareness to the body, you open that doorway.

I believe our challenges, emotions, and even hurtful thoughts are also portals to growth. They show us where we’re blocked or stuck. So the next time you feel a difficult emotion or notice a thought that dims your light, don’t push it away. Embrace it. Ask yourself, Where in my body do I feel this contraction or discomfort? Then bring your awareness there.

Instead of trying to analyze it with your mind, simply allow the mind to be present with the sensation. Breathe into it. Be with it. Tears might come, or the sensation might intensify before it eases. That’s okay—it means you’re releasing deeply.

This process carries you through the “tunnel” of the emotion to its opposite frequency. For example, moving from anxiety into freedom, liberation, and peace. The way through is not by resisting or escaping but by witnessing, embodying, and embracing what arises.

Your mind, in this process, is not the enemy—it’s a mirror. It shows you the patterns and conditioning you’re still holding. By observing your mind and feeling into the contractions of fear in your body, you give your soul—the light that you are—the chance to dissolve and release those traumas.

The greatest obstacle is our fear of the unknown, our resistance to facing our own pain. Yet the gateway to deep healing is acceptance. Acceptance is love, and love heals.

Natalie Namaste - Awakened Magazine

In your one-on-one sessions, when people connect with you online through WhatsApp and Zoom, what are the most common challenges they bring, and how do you support them?

Natalie Namaste: People come to me with a wide range of challenges—physical symptoms, feeling stuck or blocked in life, struggles with their own mind, or even practical issues in the third dimension that aren’t flowing.

In a session, I begin by tuning into their soul so I can hear directly where the root issue lies. For example, if someone tells me they have asthma, I will often feel it in my own body and then be shown the deeper cause. Asthma connects to the heart chakra, and I might see that when they were seven years old, something shifted suddenly in their life. They may have experienced trauma or loss, and in that moment, they didn’t feel supported or loved. That contraction in the heart space manifests as difficulty receiving support from life—literally struggling to breathe it in.

From there, I explore different layers. Sometimes the root is in this lifetime. Other times, I’m shown past lives that continue to influence their present experience. I also do ancestral healing, where ancestors come through to explain what they endured. For instance, if someone has recurring pain in their right shoulder, I might trace it to their great-grandmother on their father’s side, who lived in constant self-protection. Through Reiki and channeled energy, we can dissolve those imprints.

I also work with skeptics. Some people arrive saying, “I don’t really believe in all this, but I’m open.” I meet them exactly where they are. Often, I’ll tune into the stories their mind is looping in, and together we rewire outdated beliefs, dissolve fear-based patterns, and bring in new frequencies of light.

Beyond healing, sessions can also be deeply practical. Clients ask about their next step in life or business, and I channel guidance—even down to details like their logo or creative direction. Whether it’s emotional, physical, spiritual, or professional, the work is about uncovering the root, dissolving the block, and opening them to alignment and flow.

Many healers and guides struggle with the balance between their calling and the pressure to constantly be on social media. How have you personally navigated that tension?

Natalie Namaste: I only do what I love. If my lower mind tells me, “You should post,” then I don’t post. I give myself full permission to live from my heart and ask, What does my soul want to experience next? The more I’ve honored that, the less control programming and ego have over me.

So my advice is: never post because you feel you “should” or “have to.” That energy carries through, and people can feel it. Instead, only share when you feel genuinely inspired—when you’re excited about something and can’t wait to bring it into the world.

Also, not every healer needs to be managing social media. If your true passion is teaching, guiding, or healing, keep following that. There are people who love marketing and those who love administration, and they can support you in those areas. That way, everyone is doing what they love.

When we’re inspired by spirit, there’s light and flow. But when we get bogged down in 3D tasks—endless admin or strategies—it can feel heavy, lowering our frequency. That heaviness will be mirrored back in our business. When you notice that happening, pause and recognize: This is my ego trying to run the show. Then clear it, and return to why you began in the first place.

That’s how I approach it with my own team. One person loves doing admin, another loves marketing, and I get to create videos when I feel inspired. My social media grows authentically because it carries the vibration of authenticity. I’m not following a formula or chasing an algorithm—I’m following my heart.

This life is a mind-made dream, and as far as your mind can imagine is as far as you can create. So dream big, keep following your heart, and any time you feel contraction or pressure from the lower mind, pause, take a breath, and choose not to respond from that place.

Natalie Namaste - Awakened Magazine

You not only offer one-on-one sessions and online courses, but you also host retreats—and you own your own hotel. That’s extraordinary. Tell us about that.

Natalie Namaste: I know—it still amazes me. Here in Nicaragua, in the jungle, my husband and I have a hotel called Brio. It has a pool at the top where you can climb the stairs, turn around, and see the ocean with the sun setting over it. It’s magical.

Interestingly, we bought the hotel with that name already, and at first we wondered if we should change it. When we looked it up, we discovered “Brio” means energy, sparkle, panache, and vibrancy—all qualities that fit perfectly. My husband loves the chakra colors, so each room is designed around a different chakra. It feels divinely aligned.

I’ve taught many of my Reiki courses there in person. But my retreats aren’t about sightseeing or surfing, even though the waves here are incredible. They’re about going inward—offering people complete space and love to dissolve what blocks them, to reconnect to their soul, and to experience spiritual expansion. Every time I finish a retreat, I cry tears of love because I feel one with everyone who has come.

At times, my retreats have grown too big for the hotel, so I’m exploring larger venues. For example, I’m considering a major in-person Reiki Hub gathering in November 2026. I’m giving it space and allowing it to unfold

Can people also stay at Brio outside of your retreats?

Natalie Namaste: Yes. We have four chakra-themed rooms available on Airbnb. Guests can come, enjoy the beauty of Nicaragua, and immerse themselves in the energy of the space. I don’t live on-site, so visitors have the place to themselves. And if they’d like to work with me in person, they can book a session in advance—I do have a waiting list, but I still offer in-person sessions.

What’s the best way for people to connect with you, follow your work, or book sessions?

Natalie Namaste: There are three main places:

My website: NatalieNamaste.com. I encourage people to spend time there—it’s filled with free resources. On the homepage, you can sign up for a meditation that raises your frequency, clears blockages, connects you to your soul, and strengthens healthy boundaries. You’ll also be added to my email community, where I share updates from my heart.

YouTube: Natalie Namaste Healer. I love the community there—people are so supportive of each other. I share energy updates, tools for navigating what’s unfolding, and answer questions with channeled guidance.

Instagram: @NatalieNamaste_ (with an underscore at the end). There, I share daily tools for being a spiritual being having a human experience. One highlight people love is Numbers, where I channel the angelic meanings of numbers.

For those listening who may just be beginning their spiritual journey—perhaps raised in a more traditional religion and now seeking their own way—what encouragement would you offer them?

Natalie Namaste: Keep going. There is so much available for you in the present moment. Don’t give up. Even when life feels intense or challenges weigh heavily, there is something strong within you—hope. Hope is like a single candle that can light up an entire cave, revealing that you’re surrounded by crystals.

No matter what you’re facing, keep returning to your heart. The heart is the doorway to your soul. And don’t give your power away—not even to me. Don’t adopt everything I say as your truth. Instead, experience it for yourself. If something resonates, feel it, embody it, live it.

You already have a direct connection to Source. You are both the soul having a human experience and the Source feeding light into that experience. This journey will ebb and flow—like waves of energy with ups and downs. But whatever arises, know you have the strength to move through it. You are a powerful light on Earth.

Thank you so much, Natalie. I deeply appreciate your story, your wisdom, and the way you serve with your gifts. Our world is brighter because of the light you carry.

Natalie Namaste: Thank you—it has been such a treat to spend this time together.

Keep going. There is so much available for you in the present moment. Don’t give up. Even when life feels intense or challenges weigh heavily, there is something strong within you—hope.
