Miracles and Magic Are Absolutely Real – Alive in Every Moment, Waiting for Us to Notice

Realms and reality, what do they mean to you? 

It’s a profound question, and one I came to understand through an experience that reshaped everything I believed possible.

Here I am, a Florida flatlander and lifelong asthmatic, standing at the base of Ausangate Mountain in Peru, ready to trek up to the 16,000-foot summit. I’m hundreds of miles from any medical support, not even armed with an inhaler, walking towards my most deadly living allergic triggers.

Why? Because Spirit told me to. 

Sometimes, the biggest leaps are the ones you never imagined you’d take.

As I faced my greatest fear, anxiety set in. With a dry mouth behind my N95 mask, I met the horse’s steady gaze, as if he silently urged me to climb on and begin our journey. My heart pounded against my chest, each beat echoing the uncertainty that filled my mind. The scent of hay and earth mingled with the sterile tang of my mask, making the moment strangely surreal. My hands trembled, and sweat beaded along my brow as I fought the urge to retreat. Yet the horse stood calm, his gentle eyes unwavering, radiating patience and quiet encouragement. In that silent exchange, vulnerability and hope intertwined—every nerve ending alive with fear, anticipation, and a longing for connection. 

I look up to the heavens once again. Are you sure, Spirit? 

A resounding YES washes through me. I gulp, take a deep breath, hold it, and prepare to mount this patient and hardworking horse. I struggled to get on and find my balance in so many ways, and am grateful for all the guides that held me tight. The journey up the mountain for my Paqo Initiation Karpay Ceremony is arduous but essential to my training. Now, all I have to do is survive it! Taking a shaky breath, I reached out, letting trust guide me forward onto his back, surrendering to the possibility of courage. 

As the horse moved forward, I did too, inviting my guides, angels, and ancestors. I prayed for clean air and breathed deeply, feeling gratitude and love fill me. In that moment, I could breathe—a miracle unfolding before my eyes and within my soul!

With each gentle step the horse took, I felt myself drawn into an embrace of serenity—welcoming my sacred guides, angels, and ancestors into the experience. My prayers for pure air became whispers carried on the wind as I inhaled, letting fresh oxygen flood my lungs. Waves of gratitude and affection washed over me, intensifying until my heart pulsed with warmth and awe. The simple act of breathing had transformed into a profound revelation, as if the world itself paused to witness the miracle blossoming inside and all around me, wrapping me in wonder and quiet joy.

My ceremonies that day were nothing short of profound, as they stirred my soul and touched my heart to its very core. The landscape, spiritual guardians, and natural forces felt like loving companions: the Keepers of the Earth, Grandfather Sun, and the great winds flew with me many places. The rocks shared ancient wisdom as the waters of Heart Lake washed away the stifled grief from the loss of my beloved husband. So many events that day were beyond magical! 

Following the sacred rituals, I tried to explain my channeling work through a Quechua interpreter; when the Paqo was uncertain of what I was saying, I dropped into trance and, with great reverence, channeled the Spirit of Apu Ausangate. The entire experience resonated with immense power as my body quivered and shook, while the tears kept streaming down my face. I was overwhelmed and humbled by this raw, pure love energy and ancient wisdom shared by Peru’s most sacred mountain. We sat for a moment reflecting, when we began to hear a deep rumble, then recognized that the crashing sounds were elevating to a roar coming from Apu Ausangate. 

The ancient and most revered mountain of Peru responded to my shared messages with an avalanche! The Paqo looked at me and nodded with an air of respect as he confirmed that this happens with powerful work, and to him as well.

I rode all day, stopping as needed on my beloved horse. Powerful winds nearly took my breath away as we tackled steep peaks. Covered in horsehair, I kept praying and felt grateful for this extraordinary experience—a true living miracle. Each moment confirmed that miracles exist within us. The journey unfolded beneath a sky restless with clouds, each gust of wind pushing me onward and making me feel alive in ways I hadn’t known before. My horse’s steady stride, the warmth of his body, and the soft rhythm of hoofbeats grounded me as I pressed through the wild terrain. 

Riding in silence, I listened to my own heartbeat and whispered prayers, feeling a deep gratitude for the opportunity to witness nature’s raw power. This wasn’t just a ride or ceremony; it was a testament to resilience, faith, and the magic that fills ordinary days with wonder. Every step reminded me that miracles aren’t rare; they’re woven into the fabric of our lives, waiting for us to notice.

The journey unfolded beneath restless skies as powerful winds pushed me onward. My horse’s steady stride and rhythmic hoofbeats grounded me while the vast sacred landscape awakened something ancient within my spirit. There were moments when exhaustion overtook me, yet each glimpse of the horizon reignited hope.

This was no ordinary ride.

It was a living testament to resilience, faith, and the unseen magic woven through existence itself.

After the ride, I sat beside the hot springs, reflecting upon the day. Steam curled around nearby as the memory of the mountain, the wind, and the sacred ceremonies lingered within my heart.

Then a horse wandered close again.

Within moments, my severe allergy suddenly returned.

My chest tightened.

My breathing shifted.

And then realization struck me like lightning.

My allergy never disappeared.

Spirit had sustained me all day by feeding my physical body through my etheric lungs so my soul could receive the transformational upgrades meant for my evolution.

I had spent the entire day existing between two realms: the physical and the spiritual.

In that moment, everything became clear.

To truly know something, we must feel it.

Live it.

Experience it.

Only then does it become woven into our soul’s reality.

Miracles do happen.

Sacred lands are alive.

The callings placed upon your heart are real.

The Earth, the elementals, and the sacred guardians hold profound wisdom for those willing to listen. Yet the greatest truth is this:
