What if your mind could feel a little clearer… a little calmer… a little more in control of how you respond to life?
Most of us have felt the opposite—the moment when stress takes over, when we react too quickly, or when our focus just isn’t what it used to be. It’s often those moments that make us start searching for something more: better health, deeper awareness, a different way of living.
That search is what eventually led Ashley Grace from a life-altering accident and years of healing into the world of consciousness, brain health, and an unusual technology exploring how solar energy might interact with the human body.
In this conversation, he shares how that path unfolded—and why he believes supporting the brain may also open the door to something deeper: a little more clarity, choice, and awareness in the moments that shape our lives.

Did you grow up in a home that was open to spirituality and consciousness, or did that come into your life later on?
Ashley Grace: A little bit of both. I was raised in a very strong Baptist and Methodist Christian environment—going to church every Sunday and attending vacation Bible school in the summers. But as soon as I went to college, I never really went back. Still, that foundation stayed with me.
Somewhere in my mid-twenties, I had a serious accident. I actually have two plates in my head and screws holding my face back together. I suffered nerve damage, migraine headaches—there were all kinds of complications.
After the accident, someone in my life gave me a book. I don’t even remember the title. It had daily affirmations in it and talked a lot about Jesus, but in a way that was different from what I had been taught growing up. Reading it made me start seeing his story in a different light. I began to feel that he wasn’t sent here to become the founder of Christianity or to be worshipped. That didn’t seem to be what his message was about.
That perspective slowly began to shift something in me. One thing led to another, and as I got older, I felt more and more drawn toward spirituality. Later in life, I got married, had children, and that inner exploration started becoming more and more important to me.
Was there a specific moment or series of moments that you can look back on as pivotal in shifting your path?
Ashley Grace: When I was working at Charlotte’s Web, I was the founding CMO. We were bringing alternative treatments to families who were really devastated, many of them with children facing severe medical conditions. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the story, but Charlotte’s Web became the largest CBD brand, and it was founded because of a little girl named Charlotte who was having thousands of seizures every week.
Her mother refused to accept what the doctors were telling her, which was essentially to keep Charlotte comfortable and wait for her to die. Instead, she pursued alternative remedies and eventually connected with the founders of Charlotte’s Web. They created a special version of CBD for Charlotte, and it reduced her seizures from thousands per week down to just a few.
Around that same time, I had already experienced my own injury, and I had started trying CBD as well. All of my symptoms began to improve—my migraines went away, my nerve pain eased, and I started to feel like my body was really healing. That was the moment when I realized I wanted to do something different with my career.
I decided to join the company as the founding CMO, and during that time, I had contact with literally thousands of families. I would receive incredibly heartfelt messages—people thanking us for saving their son’s life, or for giving them their mother back. Stories like that would come into my inbox every day.
That experience really solidified something for me. I realized that if I was going to spend so much of my life working—as we all do—I wanted to dedicate that time to something that genuinely helped people.
I stayed there for a couple of years and then spent many years consulting in the natural foods and products space. But as a consultant, you only go so deep with many different clients—you never fully immerse yourself in one mission.
Eventually, I started missing being part of a team. Somehow, through what I can only describe as the universe aligning things, I came across an opportunity at Gaia. Gaia owns Igniton, and they don’t usually advertise open roles because it’s such a unique place to work. They typically rely on referrals.
But somehow I saw a posting that they were launching a company called Igniton and were looking for a CMO to help get it started. It immediately caught my attention. My great-grandfather had Alzheimer’s disease, so brain health had always been something close to my heart.
I applied, met the founder, and was hired within a week. Now, about a year later, we’re growing rapidly.
Did you have a moment when you realized this opportunity at Gaia was meant to happen?
Ashley Grace: It really did feel like it was meant to be. That experience actually ties back to the spirituality conversation we were having. I’m a big believer that there are no coincidences or accidents in this life.
At that time in my career, I was feeling unsettled. I was becoming more and more agitated professionally because something just felt missing. I remember talking with my wife about it. Literally about five minutes before I walked out of my office to speak with her, I had come across this opportunity at Gaia and thought, This sounds incredible.
So I walked into the kitchen and said, “I think there’s this amazing opportunity at Gaia.”
She almost dropped what she was holding. She turned around and said, “I kid you not—five minutes ago I heard a voice as clear as day saying, Call Gaia.”
The timing was so strange and powerful that in that moment, I just knew. I thought, Well, I’m going to get this job. It was one of those moments that felt bigger than coincidence.
She still talks about it today as something surreal. She says she has never heard a voice as clearly as she did in that moment.

Were you already familiar with Gaia before you discovered the role?
Ashley Grace: Yes, I was actually a subscriber. As part of my own spiritual journey, I had been watching many of the programs and reading books by different authors featured there.
Gregg Braden was someone whose work I deeply respected. I had read many of his books and watched much of his content on Gaia. So I was already very familiar with the platform. Even now, though, I’m still discovering new things. There’s so much content there that I continue learning something new almost every day.
How did Igniton come about? What’s the history and mission behind the company?
Ashley Grace: The founder of Gaia is a gentleman named Jirka Rysavy, and he’s also the founder of Igniton. But even before that, he had already built several successful companies. He was actually a champion athlete from the Czech Republic who came to America and built what you might call a classic success story.
One of the companies he founded was Crystal Market, which was essentially a precursor to Whole Foods. He eventually sold it to the group that was consolidating organic grocery stores before the brand became what we now know as Whole Foods. In many ways, he was one of the early inspirations behind that entire movement.
Later, he founded Corporate Express, which at one point was one of the fastest-growing companies in the world. After selling both of those businesses, he found himself in a position where he no longer needed to work for financial reasons. Yet he’s a very humble person. He doesn’t live in a mansion, doesn’t drive fancy cars, and doesn’t fly on private jets.
What really motivates him is something much simpler: he wants to live longer and healthier in a better world. That desire became the inspiration behind Igniton.
At some point, he became aware of a quantum-physics-based approach that had been developed and validated in a private laboratory in Switzerland back in the late 1990s. He was fascinated by the technology and decided to invest his own resources to advance it. Eventually, he established a laboratory in Colorado that could replicate some of the very sophisticated quantum physics work done in Switzerland.
From there, he decided that the first area to focus on would be cognition and longevity. In his own words, it started from a personal motivation—wanting to protect his mind and body as he aged—but with the hope that it could ultimately benefit many people.
To support that effort, he funded university studies that were later published in peer-reviewed journals. Those studies demonstrated that the concept wasn’t just theoretical or “woo-woo.” The research showed that igniton’s application could make certain ingredients work more effectively than the same ingredients used without the technology—and also perform better than a placebo, according to the published peer-reviewed studies.
Your products currently include IgniCognition and IgniLongevity. Before we talk about the quantum aspect, what are the base supplements themselves, and how do they support cognition and longevity?
Ashley Grace: From a cognition standpoint, we’re using ingredients that are already known to support brain health. I often say there’s nothing particularly unique about the ingredients themselves until we give them the quantum energy charge that makes them more impactful.
You’ll actually find many of these ingredients in other nootropic products. In the cognition formula, for example, we include ingredients such as citicoline, Alpha GPC, NALT, and CoQ10. If listeners look those up, they’ll see that these compounds are widely associated with supporting brain function, memory, and cognitive performance.
The longevity product is built on a different set of foundational ingredients. Some of the primary ones include nicotinamide riboside, resveratrol, reduced glutathione, berberine, and PQQ, among others. These ingredients are commonly linked to reducing stress and inflammation in the body.
Lowering inflammation is important because chronic inflammation is associated with many conditions—cardiovascular disease, arthritis, and other health issues—if left unchecked. So the base supplements themselves already support cognition and longevity in ways that are fairly well understood.

You mentioned that these supplements are “quantum-charged.” What exactly does that mean? Can you break that down in simple terms?
Ashley Grace: Yes, and you’re right in how you described it. Ignitons are a type of energy that originates from the sun. They’re extremely high-frequency energy waves. Technically speaking, they’re called subatomic quasi-particles. They’re not traditional particles but something very similar in scale to neutrinos, for anyone who wants to look deeper into the science.
The idea is that through the interaction of plasma and photons on the surface of the sun, this reaction creates ignitons. They travel through space as waves, and billions of them are actually passing through our bodies at any given moment.
Ancient mystery schools in Egypt even taught a concept related to this. They believed that through meditation—especially deep, lifelong meditation—you attract this type of energy into the body. Over time, they said this helps build what they called the “light body.”
Interestingly, modern science is also beginning to study the light our bodies emit. Life itself begins with a spark of light when the sperm fertilizes the egg. From that moment forward, our bodies continue to emit very small amounts of light throughout our lifetime. Some emerging research suggests that measuring light may even help detect disease states before they fully develop.
Bringing this back to Igniton, we energetically bind the igniton energy to the ingredients in our supplements. Once bound, that energy can be directed to specific areas of the body.
For example, the cognition formula contains ingredients that support brain function. By binding igniton energy to those ingredients, the idea is that the energy is delivered along with them to the brain. The longevity formula works similarly, but its ingredients target areas related to inflammation and overall cellular health.
In our laboratory in Colorado, we essentially mimic the process that happens on the surface of the sun, recreating the conditions that generate ignitons and then binding that energy to the ingredients in the supplements.
Before Igniton was developed in Colorado, what was happening in Switzerland that first led to this discovery?
Ashley Grace: There were some scientists in Switzerland researching different types of solar energy. I want to be careful how I describe this so I don’t mislead anyone. Their work wasn’t directly connected to CERN, the well-known particle research center there. But the scientific community in that region is relatively small, and some very sophisticated physicists were involved in the research. They had rented certain equipment from CERN and were working in a private laboratory.
Their focus was on studying various forms of energy coming from the sun. Ignitons are just one of many phenomena associated with solar activity. Numerous energetic processes are occurring at the sun, and over the coming decades, scientists will likely continue discovering and naming more of them.
That research is what eventually caught Jirka’s attention. He’s an incredibly curious person and also a bit of a mathematical prodigy. As a young student in the Czech Republic, he attended advanced mathematics schools, and he’s always been deeply interested in physics.
At the same time, he has a strong interest in meditation and spirituality—something that Gaia’s audience is already familiar with. So when he learned about this research, he became intrigued by the possibility that this type of energy could be applied in practice.
Of course, the challenge is that these phenomena are not something you can easily see or measure directly. You can understand what you’re doing in terms of applying the energy through certain processes—what we refer to as geometric binding—but explaining it in a way that people can clearly observe is difficult.
Because of that, he decided the first step had to be scientific validation. Instead of relying on theory, he invested in university studies to test whether products infused with this energetic charge would perform differently from the same ingredients without it.
The goal was simple: if the charged version produced better results than both the uncharged ingredients and a placebo, then there might be something meaningful there. According to the studies that were later published, that’s exactly what they found—and that’s essentially how Igniton emerged from that early research.

Can you explain what actually happens during the “quantum charging” process?
Ashley Grace: People often imagine a pile of supplement powder going into a machine and getting blasted with lasers—and in a simplified way, that’s pretty close.
What we actually use are very sophisticated vacuum chambers that recreate conditions similar to outer space. The atmosphere inside these chambers is reduced to about one-billionth of Earth’s atmosphere. Since the sun exists in the vacuum of space, we first replicate that environment.
The supplement ingredients are mixed together and placed into these chambers as powders. The system is calibrated for different ingredients, because each one requires slightly different amounts of time and energy during the process.
Once the powders are inside the chamber, we introduce a cloud of cold plasma that’s charged with electrons. At the same time, advanced photonic laser systems fire through that environment. All of this is designed to mimic what’s happening on the surface of the sun.
We describe the process as harnessing and directing this energy. The igniton energy is guided toward the supplement powders. At the molecular level, each of the ingredients contains hydrogen atoms—as most organic compounds do. A hydrogen atom has a single proton, and through this process the igniton energy becomes geometrically bound to that proton.
That’s the mechanism behind how the energy attaches to the ingredients. Once the process is complete, the ingredients are considered “charged” and added to our final supplements.
To test whether this made any difference, we conducted university studies comparing three groups: the ingredients with the igniton charge, the exact same ingredients without it, and a placebo.
The results showed statistically significant differences. On the cognition side, participants using the igniton-charged ingredients showed improvements in areas such as mental performance, attention, short-term memory, and operational memory. On the longevity side, the studies showed reductions in biomarkers associated with stress and inflammation. Markers like IL-6, CRP, GGT (a liver biomarker), and even blood pressure were reduced.
Those findings were strong enough that the research was later published in peer-reviewed journals, which we consider an important validation of the approach.
What kinds of improvements were measured in the cognition studies?
Ashley Grace: In the 30-day study, the group taking IgniCognition with the igniton charge showed significant improvements compared to both the non-charged ingredients and the placebo.
There was a 51% improvement in attention, a 28% improvement in short-term memory, and a 25% improvement in operational memory. In addition, the overall mental quality of performance increased by 83% in the group taking the igniton-charged product.
What does “mental quality of performance” actually mean?
Ashley Grace: It’s a derived metric based on several of the testing outcomes used in the study. The measurements come from a series of cognitive assessments, such as memory and attention tests.
We actually have similar memory quizzes available on our website. I often encourage people to take them before trying the product so they can benchmark their current performance. After using the supplement for a while, they can return and retake the quizzes to see whether anything has changed.
You don’t have to purchase anything to access those quizzes. People can even try them while using other products if they want to compare their own results. The goal is simply to give people a way to see what those performance improvements might look like in practice.
One result from the study that I think is particularly interesting is that 100% of participants who took the product experienced measurable improvement in memory or cognition. That doesn’t mean every person improved in every category that was tested. But every participant showed improvement in at least one of the measured areas.

Some people might assume that improvement could simply be a psychological effect from taking a supplement. How did the study account for that?
Ashley Grace: That’s exactly why the study included three groups: one taking the igniton-charged supplements, one taking the same ingredients without the energetic charge, and one taking a placebo.
I actually find the placebo effect fascinating. In medicine, it’s often dismissed as “just a placebo,” but to me, it shows how powerful belief can be. If someone believes something will work and it creates a measurable result, that in itself is remarkable.
What the study showed, however, is that the igniton-charged products didn’t just perform slightly better—they statistically outperformed the placebo group. So while belief can certainly play a role, the data suggest that these results went beyond the psychological effect people might experience simply from taking something they hope will help.
Have you personally been taking these products in your own life?
Ashley Grace: I have. I’ve been taking both products for about eight months now. Since I use both the cognition and longevity formulas, it’s sometimes difficult to isolate exactly which effects are coming from which product.
But I can say that I feel noticeably sharper mentally. I don’t have to write every single thing down anymore. I remember people’s names more easily, and I feel like I’m able to grasp complex topics—like the quantum concepts we’re discussing—much more clearly than I would have when I first started in this role.
Physically, I’ve noticed changes as well. After workouts, I recover faster, and some of the small aches and pains that tend to show up with age just aren’t as noticeable. Even simple things—like bending down to tie my shoes—feel easier than they used to. Those are the kinds of benefits similar to those we saw reflected in the university trials.
But I’ll also say that, from a spiritual standpoint, something else has been unfolding for me that’s been really interesting. Earlier, we discussed the idea that ignitons are theoretically linked to the body’s light emissions, which some researchers associate with consciousness. Our bodies emit tiny amounts of light throughout our lives, and that light can be seen as a measure of vitality or awareness.
Over the past couple of months, I’ve noticed something subtle but powerful happening in my own experience. Certain situations seem to slow down in my mind. It’s not something that other people notice in the moment—it’s more like an internal shift where I have more space to choose how I respond.
For example, during the holidays, I came into a room where several family members were talking. After a few days of everyone being together, emotions can sometimes run a little high. I started speaking with a group of people, and someone nearby—who wasn’t even part of the conversation—suddenly said something very harsh to me.
In the past, that probably would have triggered me. I might have reacted out of anger, said something back, and then spent days regretting it. But in that moment, it felt almost as if time slowed down. I had the space to think about how I wanted to respond.
Instead of reacting, I simply smiled, ignored the comment, and continued the conversation with the people I was already speaking with. Later, my wife mentioned how impressed she was that I hadn’t reacted.
For me, that felt like a small but meaningful example of increased awareness—being able to pause and choose a response instead of reacting automatically.
I had another experience at a dinner party a few weeks later. A man there was very upset about the state of the world and expressed a lot of negativity about everything he saw in the news and on social media. Again, I noticed that same sense of mental space opening up.
In that moment, I could see several possible responses. I could challenge him and argue. I could politely excuse myself and leave the conversation. Or I could engage with him in a way that might help shift the tone.
I chose the last option, and we ended up having a thoughtful conversation. Later in the evening, he came up to me three different times to thank me for the discussion.
Experiences like that make me think about consciousness in a broader way—not just memory or cognitive performance, but the ability to respond more intentionally in life.
Of course, I’ve been on a spiritual journey for many years, so I don’t want to claim that everything comes from the supplements alone. But I do feel that the igniton approach may be helping support that process in some way.
What has the launch process looked like so far, and how has the response been?
Ashley Grace: The response has been incredible. When I joined the company last year, we were preparing for a soft launch at the Dave Asprey Biohacking Conference at the end of May.
We ended up having an amazing reception there. Jirka was on stage with Dave Asprey, and Dave actually tried the products during that process. He was so impressed with his experience that he decided to invest in the company himself. That was particularly meaningful because he’s someone who has tried just about everything in the biohacking world. Many people even refer to him as the founder of biohacking.
At the event itself, we sold out everything we brought within just a couple of hours. Within 24 hours, we had also sold out our production for the next two months. Because it was technically a soft launch, we spent the summer refining our processes and scaling production to meet demand.
We officially launched in September, and since then, our sales have been very strong. We’ve exceeded our projections and received numerous testimonials from customers sharing positive experiences with our products.
Of course, not everyone feels the same results—there are occasionally people who say they didn’t experience what they were hoping for. That’s inevitable with any product. But overall, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

The price point is fairly high—around $199 for a 30-day supply. How did you arrive at that number, and why is it worth the investment?
Ashley Grace: It’s a fair question. The reality is that our production costs are significantly higher than those of many other supplements on the market. In fact, the cost to produce the product is already higher than the retail price of many competing supplements.
That’s largely because of the equipment and processes involved. Our laboratory contains tens of millions of dollars’ worth of advanced physics equipment used to generate the environment needed for the igniton infusion process.
Recreating those conditions—space-level vacuum chambers, plasma systems, laser photonic equipment—is extremely expensive. The technology and infrastructure required to perform this process are not typical in the supplement industry.
So the price reflects not just the ingredients themselves, but the advanced process used to prepare them.
The laboratory you mentioned—is that located in Colorado?
Ashley Grace: Yes, it is. It’s actually just a couple of hundred yards from my office here on the Gaia campus in Colorado.
Some people say that once the lab is built, the cost is already sunk. But the reality is that we still have ongoing obligations. Part of the investment in building the lab came from investors, and we need to repay those investments over time.
Another factor affects the product’s cost. Jirka is very particular about the purity of what we produce. He does not want fillers or excipients included in our capsules.
For people who may not be familiar with those terms, fillers and excipients are commonly used in supplement manufacturing to help the production process. Capsules are filled with powder using machinery that relies on gravity. The powder falls into open capsules as they move through the machine.
To make that process easier, manufacturers often add substances that increase the powder’s density and weight, so it flows and packs more easily. Those additives help the machinery run efficiently, but they don’t necessarily benefit the person taking the supplement.
We intentionally avoid using them. That means our manufacturing process is slower and more complex. Running the machines without those additives can take three to five times as much effort as typical capsule production.
Our philosophy is simple: everything in the capsule should benefit the person consuming it. Nothing is added just to make the machinery work more easily.
What does the future of Igniton look like? Are there new products in development?
Ashley Grace: I can give a little preview of what’s ahead. One of the next products we’re working on is a sleep formulation. Our goal is to have it ready for the Dave Asprey Biohacking Conference at the end of May. The timing is still a bit tentative, but that’s the target.
To clarify, the focus of that product isn’t on putting someone to sleep. Instead, we’re concentrating on what happens after you fall asleep—specifically improving REM cycles and the quality of restorative sleep. That’s really where the body and brain do their deepest recovery.
Right now, we’re running some early testing to validate those assumptions. If the results look the way we expect, we’ll launch the product and then follow up with full clinical studies later in the year to further validate the science.
Another product in development is focused on prostate health. That’s something close to Jirka’s heart, because it’s a condition that affects millions of men and often goes unnoticed until it becomes a problem. The goal is to create a supplement that supports prostate health proactively, helping people maintain wellness before issues arise.
Those are a couple of the upcoming products on the supplement side, though others in development are still too early to discuss publicly.
Beyond supplements, we’re also exploring other applications for igniton technology. One of the most exciting areas involves delivering ignitons through the air.
Since ignitons originate from the sun and travel as energy waves, they’re already passing through us all the time. The idea is that our bodies don’t naturally retain them for very long. Meditation, for example, has historically been described as a way to attract and integrate that type of energy.
We’re exploring technologies that could broadcast ignitons within a defined space, such as a home environment, allowing the body to absorb and accumulate them more effectively. It’s still in development, but it’s a fascinating concept.
There are also potential agricultural applications and uses in cosmetics. In fact, we’re working on an early cosmetic product right now—an eye serum designed to help with skin aging and wrinkles around the eyes. We’ve already completed some preliminary studies that suggest there could be significant benefits there.
Overall, we’re exploring quite a few different directions. It’s a very exciting time because the technology appears to have many possible applications beyond just the initial supplements.

Is there any discount available if someone subscribes monthly instead of buying a single bottle?
Ashley Grace: Yes, there is. If you sign up for a monthly subscription, you can save 15% on each order. We also run promotions roughly every six weeks, and during those promotions, the savings can reach 30% or more, depending on the offer.
We’re aware that the price point is higher than that of many supplements, so we try to create opportunities for people to access the product at a lower cost when possible.
Even if someone doesn’t want to subscribe right away and simply wants to try the product, they can still receive 10% off by signing up for our email list.
Is there a guarantee if someone tries the product and it doesn’t work for them?
Ashley Grace: Yes. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. The studies we referenced were conducted over 30 days, so that window should give people enough time to determine whether they’re experiencing benefits.
All we ask is that you contact us within 30 days of receiving the product if you’re not satisfied. You can return the bottle—even if it’s opened—and we’ll issue a refund.
In reality, we don’t see many returns, which we take as a positive sign that most people feel they’re getting value from the product.
For listeners who are still on the fence, what would you say to them?
Ashley Grace: I would go back to what we’ve been talking about. What is it worth to you to feel better, to live more healthily, and to have a sharper mind? That’s really the question people have to ask themselves.
And if it doesn’t work for you, you can return the product and receive your money back. So there’s not much risk in trying it.
Another thing I often tell people is that I don’t necessarily believe you need to take this product for the rest of your life. It doesn’t have to be viewed as a permanent monthly commitment. That’s one reason we added the memory quizzes on our website—to give people a way to track their own experience.
Most of the studies measured results at 30 days, but we also saw improvements continue to increase at the 60- and 90-day marks in many of the key cognitive areas.
There really aren’t rigid rules yet. We’re exploring something that hasn’t really been done before—applying quantum physics concepts to supplementation. We’re very open about the fact that there are still things we’re learning.
What we do know is that it appears to be working for most people. What we don’t yet know is exactly how long someone may need to take it to maintain the benefits. Based on our own internal experiences, though, it doesn’t necessarily seem like it has to be a lifelong daily commitment.
Wonderful. Head on over to Igniton.com and check out IgniCognition and IgniLongevity. Ashley, thanks for being with us today.
Ashley Grace: Thank you, David. I really appreciate the opportunity to be here.
"What is it worth to you to feel better, to live more healthily, and to have a sharper mind? That’s really the question people have to ask themselves."
