What if a lifelong obsession you felt guilty about was actually a memory trying to surface?

Most of us have experienced a pull toward something we can’t quite explain — a topic that fascinates us, a period of history that feels strangely familiar, a knowing that seems to come from somewhere deeper than this lifetime.

In this conversation, Stephanie Blaum speaks openly about her journey through grief, spiritual awakening, and the shocking past life she uncovered through quantum healing hypnosis—a life lived as Magda Goebbels, wife of Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels.

Rather than being destroyed by what she found, she was transformed by it. As the founder of The Soul Sanctuary, based in Germany, Stephanie is a QHHT practitioner who accompanies her clients on multidimensional journeys that lead to spiritual transformation and healing. Her new memoir, Ascension, is available now on Amazon.

If you have ever felt that your struggles were pointing you toward something greater, or that your soul carries more history than this one lifetime can hold, this conversation was made for you.

Stephanie Blaum - Awakened Magazine

Did you grow up with a faith experience, or did that come later in life?

Stephanie Blaum: Yes, I did. I grew up in what is quite typical here in Germany—I was raised Roman Catholic. That was the path my parents chose for me.

And yes… the sacred heart, Mary—I’ve always felt a connection to her. I have many pictures of Mary in my home because I love her so much. I don’t even fully know why, but something about that time, that energy, it must have been so powerful.

Of course, there was also a lot of cruelty and fear in the teachings. That’s what I remember too. But still, the spirit felt immense.

And I love Jesus—I truly love him. For me, he is a master, a soul who came to Earth to help people. That was his mission—to guide humanity back to itself. It wasn’t easy for him, of course.

So yes, I grew up in the Catholic tradition. I loved the church, I loved the imagery, but there was also a lot of fear. There was so much talk about punishment, about suffering. And even as a child—four or five years old—I remember thinking, there has to be more.

There must be something beyond this. And whatever that is… it has to be light.

Did you continue with the Catholic church as you got older, or did you begin exploring other paths?

Stephanie Blaum: Yes, I continued in the traditional way. I did my First Communion when I was around eight or ten, and later I did what we call “Firmung” in Germany—confirmation—when you’re about sixteen. It’s like affirming that you are ready to continue in the Catholic faith.

But honestly, I did all of that simply because it’s what everyone does. It’s very common—you just follow the path.

It was fine. And again, I always loved Jesus. I want to emphasize that—he is a great soul. But beyond that, religion was never deeply important to me.

At what point did you begin opening to a broader or more inclusive spirituality?

Stephanie Blaum: It wasn’t influenced by anything external. It was just a feeling inside me—that there had to be something more, another system, another way of understanding.

But even that wasn’t very important… until I went through a period of darkness in my life.

And this is something many people describe—before a spiritual awakening, you often go through a kind of void. Something happens. You’re pushed into a place where your old way of being no longer works.

I see now that these moments are signs from your higher self, guiding you in a new direction. It’s almost like life says, let’s try this… maybe a challenge, maybe something difficult… maybe even something that forces you to rethink everything.

And if that’s not enough, something deeper happens.

People talk about near-death experiences or trauma. These kinds of experiences often become the doorway into awakening.

That was my experience too.

It happened about six years ago, when I was already 41. And when it happened… it changed everything. My whole life shifted.

Can you share more about that period of darkness? What was that experience like for you?

Stephanie Blaum: Yes, of course. I’ve been married for 20 years, and we have three children. At that time, they were around 4, 5, and 7 years old.

And for some reason—something I still can’t fully explain—I always felt there should be a fourth child. It was just this knowing inside me.

Then one day, my husband told me very clearly that there would never be a fourth child, because he didn’t want one. And that moment… it broke something in me completely.

I don’t even know why it affected me so deeply. But it pushed me straight into what I now call the void—the darkness. Suddenly, I didn’t understand my life anymore.

From the outside, everything looked perfect. People would say, “Look at your children—they’re beautiful, they’re healthy. You love your husband. Isn’t that enough?”

But it wasn’t. And I couldn’t explain why.

That was the beginning of my awakening.

I entered this deep inner darkness, but life on the outside kept going. I somehow continued my daily routine—I don’t even know how. And inside, I began to feel… strangely comfortable in that void.

Because in that space, everything was allowed.

It was okay to be sad. It was okay to cry. It was okay not to know who I was anymore.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was learning to trust—to trust the universe, to let go, to move with whatever was unfolding. And that surrender helped me stay in that space without resisting it.

It was there, in that darkness, that I began to meditate. And that’s when the awakening truly started.

During that time, were there any teachers, books, or resources guiding you—or was it more of an inner knowing?

Stephanie Blaum: From the very beginning, it was completely internal. Just an inner knowing. And I didn’t understand that at all.

Then something quite unexpected happened. My daughter’s ballet teacher reached out to me and said that she felt we had something in common—that we should talk.

I didn’t know why, but we connected deeply. In my book, I call her Isis. For me, she felt like a twin flame.

She was there for me throughout the entire process, but she didn’t try to teach me anything in a traditional way. And that was important, because I wasn’t reading books, I wasn’t watching videos, I wasn’t looking for coaching. I felt very strongly that I had to go through this on my own.

What she gave me was simply presence. Someone I could talk to.

And that meant everything—because she never told me I was crazy.

When you start talking about past lives, or extraterrestrial themes, or things that go beyond what people consider “normal,” most people react with fear. They say, “What’s wrong with you?”

But she never did that.

Whenever I would ask her, “Could this be real? Could it be like this?” she would say, “Yes. Thank you for sharing this. Let’s explore it.”

It was incredibly supportive. I can’t even fully describe how important that was for me.

In a way, she became like a guide—someone who held space for my experience without trying to control or define it.

Stephanie Blaum - Awakened Magazine

How did she recognize that connection with you? Had you shared anything with her beforehand?

Stephanie Blaum: No, nothing at all.

Later, she told me that for two years she had been asking the universe, “When will you send me someone who is like me?” And then I came into her life—and she just knew. She recognized it immediately.

We shared something… a common space. Even past lives. It sounds crazy, I know—but that’s how it felt.

You’ve mentioned past lives a few times. When were you introduced to Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT)?

Stephanie Blaum: That actually came through Isis as well. She mentioned it to me, and I started watching videos about Dolores Cannon.

The moment I saw her, I felt something. She didn’t even have to speak—it was her presence, her energy, her light. I just knew, yes, this is it.

Then I began learning more about her sessions and her work, and it deeply resonated with me. I felt there was truth in it—something real and profound.

Did you explore that on your own, or did you work with a practitioner?

Stephanie Blaum: I went to a practitioner. I traveled to Frankfurt, about an hour and a half from where I live, and had my first session there.

What was that first experience like for you?

Stephanie Blaum: It was… intense. My main intention going in was to receive confirmation. By that point, I had already uncovered a lot on my own through meditation, inner exploration, and research—but part of me still wondered, am I imagining this?

Even though everything I experienced brought me peace, love, and a completely new way of thinking, I still wanted proof.

So I went to the session.

And interestingly, it didn’t feel like hypnosis at all. I remember thinking, Did it even work? But I was already there—already in the experience.

I began sharing things I had seen and felt before, and I kept asking the practitioner, “Is this true? Is this real?” And he would say, “Yes. I can see it. I can feel it.”

Did you already have a sense of who you were in that past life before the session, or did that come through during it?

Stephanie Blaum: I already knew. Very clearly.

I had discovered it on my own—through meditation, through looking at historical materials, books, images. It was all based on resonance. I would see something and feel a deep recognition, like my whole body knew.

Who did you experience yourself as in that first QHHT session?

Stephanie Blaum: Before I answer that, I need to say something very important.

I absolutely condemn everything connected to that time—its politics, its ideology. I am completely against antisemitism, fascism, and any form of hate or oppression. I want to make that very clear, especially in today’s world.

Because when you recognize a part of your soul connected to something dark, there is a kind of unconditional love that arises—but people can misunderstand that. It does not mean approval. It does not mean agreement.

So with that said…

In that life, I experienced myself as the wife of a high-ranking Nazi official. We had six children.

And when the Third Reich collapsed, both my husband and I chose to leave the world—and we took our children with us.

When I realized this, it shook me deeply. But at the same time, it helped me understand something in my current life—why I had such a strong inner drive to have more children.

In that lifetime, I felt that I could only make that decision because I believed I would be able to bring those souls back again. And also because I feared what would happen to them if they stayed—that they would suffer simply for who their parents were.

This is not a justification. It is only an understanding of the emotional and spiritual state behind that experience.

Later, during meditation, I encountered that version of myself again. I had been trying to connect with my spirit guides, but instead, she appeared.

At first, I was frustrated. I remember thinking, “Why her again? Can’t I meet someone lighter?”

But she took my hand and said, “It’s enough now. You’ve done what you needed to do. Three of the children you carried are here again. The others are already back on Earth.”

And in that moment, something released. I cried deeply. It felt like a resolution—like the weight I had been carrying was finally gone.

After that, I went to the QHHT practitioner, and everything came through again in the session. He helped me process it and hold space for what I had experienced.

It was a very intense, very heavy story—but also a turning point in my journey.

Stephanie Blaum - Awakened Magazine

Do you feel comfortable sharing her name, so people have a clearer understanding?

Stephanie Blaum: Yes. It was Magda Goebbels, the wife of Joseph Goebbels, the Reich Minister of Propaganda.

Growing up in Germany, you would have been very aware of that history. Did you feel a connection to her from an early age, or did that come later during your awakening?

Stephanie Blaum: Oh yes, from a very early age—and this is what feels so strange to me now.

When I was around eight, nine, ten years old—an age when most girls are reading light teenage books—I was reading a full biography of Adolf Hitler. A very detailed one. And I remember thinking, Why am I so drawn to this?

It continued over the years. I kept wanting to learn more, to read everything I could. And at the same time, I felt guilty about it—because I knew what that period represented. I knew it was darkness. Pure darkness. And it was never something I wanted or agreed with.

But still, the curiosity was there.

Later, when I was preparing for my Abitur—my final high school exams—I chose to focus on that period of German history. I wrote extensively about it, and my teacher told me he had never read something described so vividly.

And now, looking back, I understand why. It felt like I knew it.

I experienced something similar with ancient Egypt—another lifetime I connect with. I’ve always felt drawn to it, always knowing things that I couldn’t explain.

How do you reconcile that—recognizing yourself in something you also see as deeply dark? How do you process and integrate that?

Stephanie Blaum: That was one of the hardest parts.

Dolores Cannon’s work helped me a lot with this. She speaks about Earth as a school—a place where souls come to learn, to evolve, to expand their essence.

And she says that sometimes, the souls who take on the most difficult roles—the darkest roles—are also taking on the greatest challenges for growth.

That perspective helped me begin to understand.

But still… There is a feeling of sadness and, sometimes, guilt. Because the suffering caused at that time was real and immense. And for me, the hardest part is always when other people are harmed—when others experience pain because of those actions.

So I want to be very clear: this is not an excuse. I do not accept suffering, cruelty, or harm. I don’t want that for anyone.

But at the same time, I see that we are here to experience both darkness and light—and to find balance between them.

Sometimes, going through darkness is what brings the deepest understanding of light.

Again, it’s not a justification—it’s a way of trying to make sense of it on a soul level.

You mentioned a “point of no return.” What do you mean by that in the awakening process?

Stephanie Blaum: It’s the moment when everything changes—and you can’t go back.

Your entire belief system begins to shift. And often, it happens without external proof. Everyone around you may still see the world one way, but inside, you know something different.

That knowing comes from intuition. It becomes stronger than anything outside of you.

And even though it can feel confusing—or even painful at times—there’s no returning to how you saw things before.

But at the same time, I believe the universe—and your higher self—only gives you what you’re ready to handle.

You are never given more than you can process. The rest comes later… or not at all.

I experienced this even with my son. He once came to me, very scared, and said he had opened a door and seen an alien. But then he said, “It closed the door again for me.”

And I thought—that’s exactly how it works.

If you’re not ready, it doesn’t stay. It doesn’t overwhelm you.

We are supported in this process—by the universe, by our higher selves. Because ultimately, we are all part of the same energy. We are all one.

What has been the response from others when you’ve shared this part of your story? Especially given the historical weight of it?

Stephanie Blaum: Let’s start with the practitioner. He remained very neutral, which was actually very important for me.

After the session, he said one sentence that stayed with me: “I feel that you are love.”

And that helped me so much because I was carrying a lot of guilt from what I had shared. But hearing that—hearing that I am love—brought me back to myself.

My husband… It’s a bit different. We share a very spiritual perspective. We both feel that we are not originally from Earth—that we are what people call starseeds.

I resonate with a star system that is based in love, and my husband resonates with something very different—almost the opposite. And for me, that reflects the balance of light and darkness, coming together to create wholeness.

But more than anything, he knows me. We’ve been together for 20 years. So when I share something like this, he doesn’t just hear the story—he feels who I am.

And I think that’s the key.

If someone hears this without knowing me, they might immediately associate it with darkness. And I understand that. But the people who truly know me—or who feel my energy—respond differently.

They don’t see that as who I am.

At what point did you feel called to use QHHT to help others? How did that unfold for you?

Stephanie Blaum: It happened immediately after my first session.

I felt so good—so full of love, light, and abundance. And I remember thinking, I want others to feel this too.

That was the moment I decided to learn it and begin offering sessions myself.

And I love it. I truly love witnessing people reconnect with their souls, seeing them shift, seeing them move closer to their own path of awakening and expansion.

Stephanie Blaum - Awakened Magazine

For those unfamiliar, what does a typical QHHT session look like? What happens, and what is the purpose?

Stephanie Blaum: First, it’s about creating a safe and comfortable space. That’s very important to me. The environment has to feel secure, calm, and supportive.

We begin by talking about the client’s history, their intentions, and especially their questions. It’s important that they come in clear about what they want to understand or explore.

Then we move into relaxation. I guide them into a meditative state—very gently—until they are fully at ease.

From there, the hypnosis begins. And I guide them on a journey to wherever they need to go in that moment—to receive the information or experience that is most important for them.

Is the goal mainly to explore past lives, or is it more about healing?

Stephanie Blaum: It really depends on the person.

Some people come simply out of curiosity—they want to explore past lives. And that’s completely valid.

Others come because they are struggling—physically, emotionally, or energetically—and they’re looking for healing.

In those cases, we set a clear intention from the beginning: that the most important thing is their healing.

Sometimes they don’t even go into a past life. Instead, they enter a space of light, or what feels like the source. A place where everything is calm, whole, and at peace.

From there, we can connect with what I call the higher self or subconscious. And that’s where deeper answers—and sometimes healing—can occur.

Have you witnessed physical healing through these sessions?

Stephanie Blaum: Yes, I have.

I had a client with severe osteoarthritis. He could barely move when he came in. During the session, he entered a very deep state, and his higher self came through quite quickly.

He began describing sensations in his body—warmth, movement, energy shifting.

After the session, he stood up… and he could move freely again.

It was incredible to witness.

Later, he told me that he had experienced something during the session, but not in a way he could fully explain. He didn’t receive a clear story or lesson—just the experience itself.

And a few days later, he called me and said the improvement had stayed. He still felt good.

For me, this shows that we all have the ability to heal ourselves.

Often, physical symptoms are signals—messages from the deeper parts of us. And when we understand or shift what’s underneath, healing can begin.

Can you explain the difference between a multidimensional past life and an Earth-based past life?

Stephanie Blaum: For me, the main difference is time—or rather, the absence of linear time.

When we talk about past lives on Earth, we usually think of them as something that happened before—in a sequence. But in a multidimensional sense, it doesn’t feel like that at all.

It feels like everything is happening simultaneously.

It’s difficult to describe… but imagine it not as a straight line, but as layers or fields—moving in all directions at once. Vertical, horizontal—everything exists together. There isn’t a clear beginning or end.

And within that, there are always multiple possibilities.

Every moment holds different options, and depending on what you choose, you shift into a different version of reality.

A simple example: you’re standing in a fast-food restaurant deciding between a veggie burger and a beef burger. Normally, you choose the beef burger—but one day, you choose the veggie option.

That small decision is a shift. You’ve moved into a different version of reality, even if you don’t consciously notice it.

So in that sense, everything is always available. Everything is possible.

And that’s why trust becomes so important. Because we are not just experiencing reality—we are creating it.

We are all creators.

For me, my mission is to bring more love and light into that creation. Because even just embodying that energy can shift the people and environments around you.

I feel it often—when I’m somewhere where the energy feels heavy, and simply by being present in love, something begins to soften. People respond differently. The atmosphere changes.

And that’s part of why I do this work—to help others reconnect with that state, to feel it, to live it, and to create from it.

You call your work “Soul Sanctuary.” How did you choose that name?

Stephanie Blaum: That came from my experience in the darkness.

When I entered that void, it was dark—but at the same time, it felt like a sanctuary.

Because in that space, I could step away from my everyday reality, where I was feeling so much pain. I could go somewhere deeper, somewhere safe, where everything I felt was allowed.

And that’s what I want to offer my clients.

When they enter a session, I want them to feel like they are stepping into a sanctuary—a place where only what serves them can unfold.

I create that not only energetically but also physically. A comfortable space, a calming atmosphere, a sense of safety, warmth, and ease.

Because when someone feels truly safe, they can open up. And when they open, transformation becomes possible.

For those who may be going through a dark period right now, what would you want to say to them?

Stephanie Blaum: First—trust yourself.

And trust the universe.

Everything is unfolding the way it is meant to. Before we come here, we create a kind of soul plan—with the people, the experiences, even the challenges that will help us grow.

So even when you’re in a dark moment, there is purpose in it.

The most important thing is to allow it. To go with the flow—even when that flow feels heavy or difficult. Let it move through you, instead of resisting it.

And at the same time, try to hold love for yourself. That’s essential.

I know it’s not always easy—I’m a very impatient person myself. During my awakening, I often felt frustrated that things weren’t happening fast enough.

I would ask, “Why is this taking so long? I’m ready!”

And the answer was always the same: trust… and patience.

You receive what you are ready for—nothing more, nothing less.

And there are always signs guiding you.

Your intuition is a sign. The thoughts that come to you, the feelings in your body, even things you see in the external world—messages, synchronicities, small moments that feel meaningful.

It can be as simple as seeing a message somewhere that says, “Everything will be okay.” And in that moment, you just know—it’s for you.

The universe is constantly communicating. It’s supportive, it’s loving—like a mother, in a way—guiding you, comforting you, while still allowing you to grow.

You are never alone in it.

Stephanie Blaum - Awakened Magazine

You have a brand-new memoir released in 2026 titled Ascension. What can readers expect from it?

Stephanie Blaum - Awakened MagazineStephanie Blaum: They can expect complete honesty.

And that’s especially important because of the story we’ve been talking about. It’s not necessarily a story that creates an easy or “perfect” impression—but I believe the honesty is the perfection.

In the book, I share everything—my experiences, my reality, what I went through, and how it changed me.

What has been most surprising is the response from readers. Some have told me that simply reading the book triggered something in them—that their own awakening began afterward.

Others have shared that they experienced very intense inner shifts while reading—like their third eye opening, or receiving downloads and insights in real time.

So I feel there is something within the book that reaches people on a deeper level.

Where can people connect with you or book a QHHT session?

Stephanie Blaum: I think the best way to begin is simply to reach out.

Start with a message—just expressing your interest. Then we can schedule a call and talk about what feels right for you.

Every person is different, so I like to adapt the process to the individual. Sometimes sessions are in person here in Germany, and sometimes we work online—often through Zoom.

It’s really about finding the approach that feels most aligned for each person.

And where can they find you online?

Stephanie Blaum: My website is TheSoulSanctuary.de. It is available in German and English.

You can also find me on Instagram. One account is @thesoulsanctuary.de, where I share insights and session experiences so people can understand what this work looks like.

And I also have a second account connected to my personal work.

Stephanie, thank you so much for sharing your story—the depth of it, the complexity, and the beauty of it. I truly appreciate your heart. And as your practitioner told you… You are love.

Stephanie Blaum: Thank you so much. Thank you for having me. I’m truly happy we had this conversation.

And I want to say—you are light. The light you carry is so beautiful. I can really feel it.

I also love what you’re creating with Awakened Magazine. It’s such meaningful work for people. Truly—thank you for that.
