Most of us take modern medicine at face value. But what if there’s an entirely different way to heal, thrive, and extend your lifespan?
David Wolfe isn’t just a health expert—he’s a truth-seeker, a questioner, and someone who’s never been afraid to go against the grain. Born into a family of doctors, he grew up surrounded by medicine but always felt deep down that something wasn’t quite right. While most kids took their vaccines and prescriptions without a second thought, David was the one climbing out the window to avoid a shot. That instinct to question, to dig deeper, and to trust his own body led him on a lifelong journey of exploring natural healing, longevity, and the hidden forces influencing our health. Now, after decades of research, personal experience, and a few battles with critics, he’s here to share what he’s learned about living a vibrant, healthy life—on your own terms.
In this conversation, we talk about everything from everyday wellness hacks—like why salt water might be the best-kept secret for immune health—to the bigger picture of what’s really going on in the world of medicine, food, and even spirituality. David breaks down why mainstream health advice often misses the mark, how simple changes can have a massive impact, and why the best way to protect yourself is to stay informed and trust your instincts. Whether you’re looking for practical tips to feel better or a fresh perspective on the world around you, this conversation will leave you thinking, questioning, and maybe even rethinking everything you thought you knew about health. How did you get into nutrition, longevity, and raw foods? What’s your story?
David Wolfe: I’m the son of two medical doctors. Both my mom and dad are medical doctors, and I was born into that world. I grew up in that. My dad’s known Dr. Fauci for 50 years. I used to go to all the conferences with him. I used to go on house calls.
This was the early seventies—I was born in 1970. We would go with my dad to house calls and visit Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Smith in the neighborhood. This was the East Coast, New Jersey—like Seaside Heights, Jersey Shore TV show. We were there first, and my dad was the doctor there. My mom was too.
So, I grew up in that, and that’s what gave me the perspective that I have, because very early on, I felt like this medicine was wrong—something was wrong with it. I just never did any medicine. My mom would come after me with a shot or an injection, my dad too, and I would climb out the window.
I’m actually a lifelong anti-vaxxer because I knew that somewhere around ’76 or ’77, I got injected with something, and it affected me badly.
You sensed that at six or seven years old?
David Wolfe: It’s really obvious—somebody comes at you, hits you with something, and then something goes wrong after. It’s real sensible and obvious, and I knew something bad had happened. So, I basically just had my mom and dad sign off for me on all this shit. From that point on, I never did any of those things ever again.
I’ve been kind of a lifelong anti-vaxxer because of those experiences. Then, I later came to find out the deeper stories, which we can get into if you want to. This kind of set me off on a different pathway. But it’s in my blood to be in the healing field. It’s in my blood to be helping people, and I’m a people person. That just kind of naturally got me oriented toward this field.
But it didn’t really happen until I had just graduated from UC Santa Barbara. That’s where I went to school, and I was there for five years—political science, environmental engineering, and mechanical engineering. Those degrees used to be together, by the way—mechanical and environmental engineering. So, people look me up later and say, No, it’s only mechanical engineering, you’re lying. It’s like, No, they changed it after I graduated, some years later. I get all kinds of hecklers, anyway. So that was my education there.
When I got out of there, I was just about to go into law school at the University of San Diego, which I eventually did. I went through that program, completed it, and I do have a law degree.
That’s when I had a vision one night of what I was supposed to do with my life—just one of those inexplicable moments. In On the Road by Jack Kerouac, it says, People who don’t listen to a vision are damn fools. And I was like, I’m not going to be a damn fool. I couldn’t help it anyway. It was like—this is what I’m going to do

What did you see?
David Wolfe: I saw all my past lives and what I was supposed to do in this life. I basically got a vision—like, If you do this now, in 20 years, you’re going to be very happy with your life.
That 20 years passed in 2014. So now, I’m over 30 years in, and I’m glad that I made the choices I did. I’m super happy with the way my life has turned out as a result.
You had health issues early on that this also helped?
David Wolfe: I had typical American problems, like very intense allergies. I still have them—but I’ve actually figured out the cure. I’m happy to share it because it’s super important to know.
When I get into airplanes—so, for example, I just came out of the jungle after being there for a month, and suddenly I’m in airplanes and strange atmospheres in Los Angeles—I develop an asthma autoimmune reaction. My whole lung lining will come out, basically, in very thick mucus. It’s really intense.
I didn’t know what this was before. It’s an autoimmune problem—like an asthma allergy reaction—but I didn’t know how to deal with it, and most people don’t. Most people have no idea how to handle autoimmune conditions in general. What I’ve figured out in my 30-plus-year career is that the answer to even the most intractable problems is salt water—drinking really salty water.
This time, because the reaction was so intense, I had to drink three bottles of salt water. It’s basically a tablespoon to a tablespoon and a half per liter of water—or stronger, depending on how severe it is. For me, sometimes it has to be stronger. And then, it stopped. It was amazing.
All the irritation—the itchy eyes, itchy throat, massive mucus discharge—everything that’s really difficult to deal with if you don’t know what it is. People go to doctors and get asthma medication, inhalers, or whatever. But salt water—I’ll put that up against any of those treatments. In fact, I’ll put salt water up against all autoimmune conditions. Just try it out. Keep drinking salt water until it stops, and you’ll go, Whoa, it stopped. What’s going on?
See, these are the kinds of things that are just super obvious and sensible to people who haven’t been indoctrinated by civilization. There’s a part of me that’s very wild—barefoot on the earth, living in the jungle or the forest.
I’m an old-school cold-water dipper. This whole cold-plunging trend? I’ve been doing that for 30 years. I’ll jump into a freezing cold river for 10 minutes, and my friends are like, No, you have to get out now, this isn’t safe! But I’m like, No, no, no—I’m good. This is my jam.
Some people have that sensibility, and some don’t—it’s just how we’re born into the world. But it gives me a certain perspective. Healing is actually very obvious, but all the layers—doctors, surgeries, hospitals, and medical commercials for this drug or that drug—they obfuscate the obvious.

What’s the biggest health challenge in American culture today? Aside from vaccines, if you had to narrow it down…
David Wolfe: It’s leadership—100%.
This goes back to my core philosophy, which I eventually developed when I was about 18 years old. I was listening to a Tony Robbins tape that my brother had because he used to go to SuperCamp. That’s actually when I first met Tony Robbins—in 1984 at SuperCamp. My brother and I both went.
My brother kept going back, and he had this series of tapes. This was before Personal Power or any of that. Tony was talking to people about things like goal setting, and one of the key ideas in there was about reading—that leaders are readers, and if someone is getting a different result in life, it’s because they’re doing something different.
So, I went to the two smartest people I knew—like 200 IQ-level people—and I asked them, You’re doing something different than me every day. What is it? We all have the same 24 hours—what are you doing?
They were reading. They were readers.
So, I was like, Oh, okay—that got me reading. I found out they were reading three books a day. So, I started reading three books a day.
You know the Charlie Tremendous Jones quote: “You’ll be the same person in five years except for the books you read and the people you meet,” right?
David Wolfe: Yes, I love Charlie Tremendous Jones. I went through all that stuff too—all the Jim Rohns of the world, the Earl Nightingales. I love all that stuff. The Napoleon Hills—I was reared into that, actually, coming from Southern California, because eventually, we moved from the East Coast to San Diego in 1980. And anyway, that’s another story.
What ended up happening is I read story. I got to Rudolf Steiner, and Steiner basically laid out a cosmology that made sense to me. I was like, whoa, this is really something different. And I have to lay this in at the beginning of our conversation so you understand the perspective I’m coming from. We’re basically under an Ahrimanic deception—okay, that’s Rudolf Steiner’s words. All the veneer of reality that’s been put around us is a deception.
We’re in a magical realm, and we’re in a spiritual, actual reality rather than a virtual reality. I like to get people back to AR rather than VR. It’s like, do you want to come back to actual reality? But actual reality has a lot of virtual reality phenomena going on. So just bringing people back to reality, you have to understand that there are forces that beset the human being and all life—forces that are trying to recycle you, strange attractors that are trying to get you.
Oh, if you fall for this, you’re gonna get dragged down. For example, we see this with drug addicts. Steiner would call that a Luciferic impulse—to try to escape this world with drugs and alcohol or to give your power away to some guru or something. Just giving your power away—that’s a Luciferic impulse.
What we’re facing in the West is what Steiner called the Ahrimanic deception, which is an Ahrimanic impulse—the tendency toward materialism. Abacus counting: I’ve got more money than you, I have a mansion and a yacht—that kind of stuff. And we’re under that.
The major part of that has to do with health, actually, because what our health system is really prescribing for us—this Ahrimanic system—is material solutions for everything. Oh, something’s wrong with you? You need a pill. Oh, it’s the cut-burn-poison-inject theory. Cut, burn, poison, inject. All material solutions for a holistic problem, which is physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Not just physical—it’s all of it.
I’ve got to lay that in first before we can get into the crisis of our times. Because what the parasite consciousness—the Ahrimanic consciousness and the Luciferic consciousness—are really just parasites. What they’re doing is besetting you and trying to get you to evolve past them. And if you don’t get it, you’ll get pulled into them, right? These are the two strange attractors that beset humankind. You have to find that middle—it’s not materialism, but it’s not escapism either.
This then leads to the reason why you see it, and you see it in our culture: leadership is beheaded in our culture because the top brass of our civilization is controlled by Ahrimanic forces, materialistic forces, or parasitic forces that don’t want leadership because they’re the leadership. But it’s a false leader—it’s a deception.
When I look into politics—and we could get into politics if you want—but when I look in, it’s all virtue signaling. There’s no leadership. It’s all people behind the scenes who are actually running everything. The front people—it’s a puppet show. And so when you get that, you go, oh, okay, I see what’s happening.
When you have real leadership, that threatens the established Ahrimanic deception. And so forces will come at you. It’s like The Matrix—it’s like Agent Smith suddenly pops up, and suddenly, people are throwing narratives at you that they heard off television or something. It’s not that actual person—it’s just a narrative. They’re recycling off television.
All of that underpins my philosophy, and all of that has brought me to the realization that it’s leadership. And when you step out into leadership, the forces will come at you hardcore, in ways you couldn’t even believe. There are forces—it’s just like, oh, this is Agent Smith—and they come from every direction.
You don’t know what you’re talking about! You can’t! Anti-vaxxer! No, no—these injections have been the greatest benefits of humankind! Okay, let’s get to the proof. Let’s go through the actual documentation.
The Ahrimanic deception puts up a veneer of science, but it actually can’t pass the scientific method with rigor. And this is what RFK is going to step in and show us. And we know where I’ve been. I’ve known RFK for years. I mean, I’m part of the reason why he even got into any of this, actually. Because I’ve been an anti-vaxxer and fighting for the truth for decades—over 30 years in the public sphere.
Just imagine the intensity of the attacks I have received in my life—trying to destroy me at all costs. And everyone who’s been through it—we all know the price we’ve paid to get to this point. The idea that we would ever get someone like an RFK into power has never crossed my mind. It never crossed my..
I thought, I’m going to fight on regardless. I don’t know if they kill me, whatever they get—whatever, they wreck my life and try to do whatever they’re going to try to do—I cannot deal with children showing up at my events who are autistic, injured, damaged from this vaccine schedule.
That’s how crazy it actually is. I mean, who gives a child an injection on day one of life? That proves to me, by the way, that the injection on day one of life is proof that the Ahrimanic forces are real, because there is no justification for it.
But if you look at what Rudolf Steiner says about injections, he says they’re trying to inject the child to turn him into a materialist. That’s the heavy metals in the injection. They’re trying to force a materialistic viewpoint or to maim the child so they can never actually develop into their full potential.

You mention Ahrimanic and Luciferian consciousnesses—where do they come from?
David Wolfe: This is deep into Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy. The Ahrimanic consciousness is related to the actual physical structure of the earth itself—the material structure that it is, the minerals that the earth is made out of. And so Rudolf Steiner says that the Ahrimanic deception is the most difficult to deal with and the most damaging.
The Luciferic impulse is actually more friendly to some degree because inside of it is some kind of a freedom impulse that can actually help humanity evolve. So the Luciferic impulse is nowhere near as dangerous as the Ahrimanic. We’re in the Ahrimanic.
When we look into our world, we see all the wreckage of vehicles and metals and plastics and things that have been strewn upon the earth. Now, what Rudolf Steiner would say about that is that it is an Ahrimanic attack on the earth itself—or on the body of Christ.
And you’re like, what do you mean by that? According to Steiner, the mystery of Golgotha—when Christ’s blood hits the earth—that is the ultimate win and victory of the forces of good. Because then, the etheric body of Christ became part of the earth. And so, since that moment, there has been—if you pay attention closely—an HAhrimanic technological attack on the earth itself. Drilling, pulling minerals out, strip mining—it goes on—plastic debris, massive pollution, huge oceans filled with debris of human manufacture.
In the middle of this is actually the cosmic Christ, which is the creative impulse that automatically pushes away both of those forces. And when we know this, this is all super-sensible, as Steiner would say—or it’s super obvious.
When you’re creating, you are in no way desiring to go take drugs and drink alcohol and escape. And when you’re creating, you’re in no way even considering: My name is Elmer Fudd, I own a mansion and a yacht. Those things completely disappear, and you’re completely in the moment. And that’s the magic zone.
Ancient scriptures say, “By His blood, we are healed.” How does that connect to the blood hitting the earth?
David Wolfe: Super-sensible knowledge—and just super obvious—would tell us that actually, God, Buddha, Jesus, and the great avatars, the great ascended masters, actually come from the sun.
Things had gotten so rapacious on earth up until that moment of Jesus that essentially, Christ was brought to earth, and the Christ impulse was brought to earth to neutralize the rapaciousness, the viciousness, the level of overt evil that was going on in Roman times.
We know about Roman times—Nero and his fiddle, the orgies, the crazy murders, and everything that happened in those times. It came to a crescendo, and they thought that by crucifying Christ, that would stop it. But actually, in the deeper rhythms of reality, your blood and the sun are related, and your blood carries a lot of your imprint.
So, as soon as—basically—it carries your ether forces, if we wanted to break it down more specifically. And when the blood bled onto the earth, then those ether forces of Christ went into the earth—which is exactly what the forces of the sun wanted, the forces of God and the higher ascended masters. That’s exactly what they wanted. That’s what Christ wanted.
This is why, when you talk to people and they have an experience with Jesus, Jesus can appear. The second coming of Christ, according to Steiner, is happening right now. It’s been happening all our lives. People have an experience with Jesus that causes them to go: The drugs are done. I’m done with the materialism.
Whatever that looks like to that person. And so, this is happening to lots of people every day. How is that possible? Because the ether body of Christ can appear anywhere, at any time, in multiplicity—10,000 times a day. And that’s the second coming.
So people are like—see, this has infected all our cosmology—because people are waiting for the second coming of Christ in the physical. They miss it within their soul. This also has to do with—like, there always has to be a physical something happening, or a physical this, or a physical that—this is all Armonic. And this is part of that veneer that’s been laid over everything.
Like, Oh, we’re going to stop this epidemic with a physical something. Right. Okay. Sure. Let’s try something else.

How do you handle intense criticism? How was it different in the beginning compared to now?
David Wolfe: I think some of it is important—you’ve got to hear what’s coming at you so you get some feedback, so you understand how to present your ideas better. That’s an important consideration always. It’s like, Okay, I’m a public speaker. I want to be able to convey these ideas.
What I just conveyed to you about Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy comes from 10,000 hours of reading that stuff. Rudolf Steiner, by the way, left behind a million pages—28 books, the rest in lectures that were transcribed—6,000-plus lectures in a lifetime that spanned from, say, his work span from age 15 to 65. That’s like 50 to 60 pages of original material every single day, Monday through Sunday. That alone should cause you to go, What? What do you mean? What’s going on here?
He was the greatest mystic of our time. He died in 1925. And he said that 100 years from his time was when his message would hit. It’s right now. As soon as the pandemic hit and all this crap that went with it, everyone turned—What did Rudolf Steiner say?—and all of a sudden, he got a big resurgence. And it’s growing because people deeply want leadership. They want to be shown the way. And Rudolf Steiner was a light-shower. He helped show that way and just, Look at that path. And again, everything is obvious.
The criticism—at this level, I’ve dealt with so much of that in social media, I don’t even look at it. I don’t even pay attention to it. You just have to grow thick skin. You understand that in this world, people… they don’t know me. And they’re deceived by the television, the education system, the government systems, the this, the that—what’s been shown to them as success. It’s like, Okay, a Lamborghini, that’s really success.
That’s not success. Throwing great parties next to a pool and a mansion—that’s not success either. What is success? Success is inner fulfillment—fulfilling not only what your dreams are, but what is in alignment with what’s best for all. And that, to me, is really success. And to consistently achieve your dreams in a way that’s best to uplift all and keep us moving forward in a cosmic way.
Let’s get practical—if someone wants to take control of their health at 51, aiming to live to 100, what could they do in 30 days to improve their functional health?
David Wolfe: First thing I’d say is that our world, this Ahrimanic world that we’ve been born into is very toxic. We’re breathing in toxins through our food, air and water. It’s coming in every direction and it’s defined by that. It’s billions of pounds of glyphosate, billions of pounds of atrazine have been dumped into the environment.
The very first thing you got to do is to help your purification organs, your filtration organs, your liver, your kidneys, your spleen, your skin. And first thing is one 400 milligram capsule of charcoal every day with your water in the morning. So drink water in the morning instead of just coffee. Before coffee, before anything like that, glass of water with a little bit of sea salt in it and charcoal.
This thing I was saying about you take that every day. Every day, 400 mg. Now, I’m an old timer at this, so I take like five or six or seven or eight or nine or 10 capsules of charcoal in the morning. Depends on how the night was before. Because then I want to be up, I want to be alert.
What does the charcoal do for me?
David Wolfe: Charcoal is the best detoxifier. It’s a complete binder of all toxins. Every toxin of civilization is bound by charcoal and it’s not absorbed. It’s adsorbed with a D different. It’s different than absorption. Absorption is like a sponge. It isn’t a sponge, it’s more of an electrochemical phenomenon that’s adsorbing to the charcoal and the charcoal completely binds it and gets it through your bowels and releases it.
Charcoal is the core of any longevity formula. Because if we look at the greatest longevity substances chocolate, for example, olive oil. Olive oil has known long history in animal studies and human studies to increase lifespan by about 9% to 18%. That’s very significant.

One teaspoon a day, I think I just saw.
David Wolfe: I would do two or three. Good grief, but it’s better if you just get it into a salad. That’s a little easier to get it into your body. Use it in some way. I used to just blend it into my morning smoothies, for example. Or you could use it as a cooking oil. Olive oil is way underrated cooking oil. Because you’re not going to frying stuff. It’s like a quick in the pan, you get the eggs made or whatever you’re doing.
At any rate, olive oil 9 to 18%—what does that mean? Let’s say a human being’s supposed to get 100 years. I think that’s our natural span. 9 to 18% is 109 to 118. That’s what it means. It’s a lot
Now, in animal research on activated charcoal, that research starts at like 24% increase in lifespan. 27, 28% increase in lifespan. 30% increase in lifespan. 31, 32, 33% lifespan. 34% increase in lifespan. 40% increase in lifespan. 44% increase in lifespan. These are the numbers, and when I found that out, I was like, you got to be kidding me.
I found this out in around 2015. Now, I’d already been a nutritionist for over 20 years, and I was like, how in the world did this evade me all those years? And it came from really researching. It came from researching longevity, and eventually, I went, what the heck?
Most people don’t know that if you have a group of mice, let’s say 30 mice, and you have them in this one maze study, know they’re okay, feed them medicinal mushrooms and see if they can get through these mazes, see if they improve. To get them ready for the next study, they feed them activated charcoal and clean them up and then move them to the next study. This is a reset for us too.
It’s also been found that if you start taking charcoal later in life, it’s still very effective because the metabolic problems of the inability to detoxify ourselves or the buildup of metabolic waste without a pathway out is a very strong theory of aging, extremely strong. And it charts out based on the numbers. Because if you take activated charcoal, especially later in life, this has been shown in animal research that you’ll still get a good extension of life in animals, even if you start them late.
Any particular brand you’d suggest?
David Wolfe: I always recommend my own brand. I have, by the way, recommended many other brands over the years, and then I found out I was deceived. I found out they didn’t have the quality checking, they didn’t have the quality concerns, they didn’t have the certificates of analysis that I wanted.
The brand that I have is called KohlBitr, and the reason why I recommend that brand is because we have that level. I mean, right when it was in the highest demand in the pandemic, I was blocked because I couldn’t get charcoal at that time that actually passed the heavy metal testing.
Mercury, lead—could have it. No, even two parts per billion. I had to cut it. No, we’re not taking it. Everybody else would say yes. And, by the way, the best activated charcoal in the industry is always taken by the pharmaceutical industry. What gets left over, what’s spewed out by them, is what comes onto the market. And so I was like, no, we want pharmaceutical grade.

We’ve got 400 mg of charcoal, water, sea salt, and 2–3 tablespoons of olive oil. What else can I add?
David Wolfe: Another thing is you got to get up and you have to get at least one hour every day of movement outside. At our age especially, we get caught up. I get caught up running my business. I get caught up running… we have a great nonprofit, and I just get caught up in those things, and I could easily just work all day. So I have to just go, okay, I’m going to measure an hour, one measured hour. No phones, no anything
Go out in nature, preferably, if you can, barefoot on the sand. If possible, barefoot in the forest. If possible, just get into the forest. If not possible, get into a park, whatever’s available to you, and that just resets all the fractal patterns of nature away from this constant screens, which at our age, becomes a problem for our eyes
Next thing I would say is you got to find—this is very important in diet, and this will solve everyone’s confusion about diet. It’s one of the big things that doesn’t move. It’s like a mountain. Like the valley’s always changing—roads and, over thousands of years, changing occupations of valleys and farming of valleys—but the mountains don’t move very much, and they don’t change very much. This is one of those.
You have to find out what the correct ratio of fat to protein to carbohydrates is for you. Now, everybody thinks that that ratio for them is the same as for everybody else, and that’s the furthest thing from the truth. My ratio is high fat, moderate carb, low protein. Every time I try to change that ratio, I can’t produce the same amount of energy, and I’m out of balance.
When I found that out—when I finally realized that, it’s been about 30 years—because I was trying to fast, and I was trying to prep to fast, or at least let me just see if I can get on a liquid diet. But it was always way too high in sugar, for example, way too much fruit. My blood sugar would go up and then crash, and I was like, this isn’t right for me.
Then I realized I’m gonna put more fat in it. More avocados, more olives, more olive oil, for example, and moderate carb and low protein. And if I got that ratio right, then I fasted. I did 30 days on liquids, and I was like, first time I ever did that. I was like, huh, what do you know?
Most people are high protein, moderate fat, low carb. That’s most people on earth, actually most people I’ve ever met. And so if you try to give those people—try to go, oh, no protein—they’re going to get in trouble. They’ll get in trouble within two hours. They have to have protein in the morning, protein in the afternoon, protein at night. They’re that kind of person. And so that’s the ratio you have to figure out for yourself.
Do you figure that out through trial and error, or is there a better way?
David Wolfe: We could get like a slow oxidizer, fast oxidizer test. So we could see like, okay, are you a fast oxidizer, which is somebody who can’t really go long on, like fruit, for example. But you could also test it yourself.
You get up in the morning and like, if I got up in the morning and I ate olives and avocados, I could go hours. I can go four or five, six, seven, eight hours. I’m good. If I get up in the morning, I have a banana or two or three or a bunch of fruit, I can maybe go two hours and then I’m like, I’m like hungry. I’m like, you know, I went up and down.
If I try to eat protein only in the morning, it’ll be like I ate nothing, and it won’t work for me. And I’ll feel weird, and actually, I get like overheated and weird sensations from it. And that’s how I eventually figured it out. This is so unique to everybody.
Now, just on the specificity—and I love what Rudolf Steiner said about this. And the reason why I keep going back to Rudolf Steiner is because I’m a student of philosophy. I have a degree in political science, but really it was a philosophy degree.
Rudolf Steiner’s Riddles of Philosophy book is one of the greatest treatises ever written on Western philosophy in history, and I’ve read lots of them. When I got to his, I was like, how could this guy write this, amongst all the other stuff? It’s like he had complete mastery of the subject matter.
What he said about human diet is, he said, there are as many diets as there are human beings on earth. And once I got that, I went, it’s so obvious. Everything’s obvious when you just get away from all the programming.

That’s not very marketable though.
David Wolfe: It’s not very marketable. Our diet’s the best diet for you. I’m a vegetarian, but I have to have high fat. When I was a kid, I ate fat off the ribs. I never liked the meat, I didn’t really eat it. I ate fat, and so I see those patterns even go back into childhood and I’m like, wow, what do you know?
So, you know my name—Avocado. I’m an avocado grower. I’ve been an avocado grower since we first visited Southern California in 1978 to visit my uncle right on the border down here in San Diego, and so that’s also interesting that that would turn out to be my nickname. It’s a fat.
Actually, my real nickname—just for your listeners and viewers and readers—was Fats Avocado. That was my real nickname, but the Fats kind of dropped off over the years, kind of like Fats Domino—“When the Saints Go Marching In.”
Rudolf Steiner’s insight was like—wow, you think about the person’s soul, you think about the person’s genetics, you think about the latitude they’re living in, the dominant weather patterns, where they’re living, their ethnic group. What’s happening in the family unit? What’s happening at the stress level?
You can see how unique it is to each person.
What role does spirituality or spiritual awakening play in nutrition and longevity?
David Wolfe: It’s the number one thing. See, that’s the AR thing. In actual reality, you are an avatar. Your soul’s been put into this world, and ultimately, what’s happening at the soul level is controlling everything else. So it’s all spirit and soul.
When people ask me about the Ahrimanic forces or the Luciferic forces—they’re like demonic forces, or whatever you want to call them, or parasitic forces—they’re just trying to improve you. They’re just trying to get you on track, ultimately.
From the highest perspective, ultimately, this is like a video game, but God is running the video game, and it’s a test of your moral and ethical integrity. That’s what’s happening here, right?
When we get confused, it’s like, Oh no, it’s about materialism, or No, no, no, it’s about giving our power away. No—it’s about your moral and ethical integrity. And I could never compromise that. That’s why I had to stand in it, in spite of all the thrust at me about the way our medical system works, about the vaccination theory, and the whole thing.
Now, I will say this: over my lifetime, I have sought out how to have invincible immunity. Invincible—so you’re never sick. Never a cold, never a flu, never a cough, never a fever.
We can get into that, because I’m one of the few people who can teach that. I’ve lived that. I mean, I’ve done thousands of events. I never showed up with a cold, cough, flu, fever—unable to talk—anything. And so I made every single event in my life. I never missed an event.
Think about that, right? Very few people can say that over 30 years. That’s a crazy statement. Because I’m born into it, and so I’ve always had this thing for health. I’ve always had this thing of like, There’s a deeper truth.
How do we prevent future pandemics? How do we make people immune? That’s my jam. That’s my real jam. That’s what I love more than anything, and it’s a deep part of why I’m here.
I’m taking charcoal, adding olive oil, figuring out my diet, and moving an hour a day—what else should I focus on?

David Wolfe: At our, there’s three categories really of food. There’s like food, then there’s superfoods, which is kind of like in between herbalism and food, and then there’s the herbalism.
We’ve been taught by the Ahrimanic deception in medicine that, oh, herbs don’t work. Here, take our little white pill that we extracted from herbs originally and then we made a synthetic version. Maybe I should say that slower. Here’s your little white pill that we extracted from herbs originally and then we synthesized it and figured out a fake way to get there that we could patent. And here, take that instead.
You see how the herbalism actually is really the underpinning of all pharmaceuticals. It really is. And so when you start to go, realize that you go. Okay, I get that I probably couldn’t comprehend the 50,000 herbs that are used by humanity. That’s too much. But I can definitely comprehend the top three and use them. I can definitely comprehend the top five and use them. And, by the way, an herb can’t do anything for anybody unless you use it.
What I really recommend for people is like, really start looking at what we call the tonic herbs or the super herbs at our age. So in this food, super food and herbalism, as you age it, like I don’t need the food. I like food but I don’t need it actually. Super foods are fun.
I can do like a super food drink of some sort. Let’s say it’s going to be an aloe vera with spirulina and cacao and blueberries and coconut water. You got it, let’s do it. Okay, I can do that. That’s fun.
But the herbalism, I know from experience, is where the real rubber hits the road. So I’m going to bring you to the top medicinal mushrooms, for example, like in your case I would say, Reishi mushroom, all day long, left, right and center. Unless you have a mushroom allergy, which one in a thousand do, Reishi mushroom is the mushroom, the fabled mushroom of immortality.
Eat it in its pure form or in some sort of pill.
David Wolfe: Any way you want. Let’s say you’re into capsules okay, capsules. Let’s say you’re into tinctures Okay, tinctures. Let’s say you’re into actually getting the real Reishi mushroom and putting it in a teapot and going for it that way, absolutely all the way. Let’s say you want to get Reishi Mushroom as a powder you could spoon into your food or anything. Okay, we’ll do that. Or all of them. I do all of them. I do every direction. That’s super fun for me. I love that.
I would direct you to the top medicinal mushrooms, which is Reishi and Chaga. That’s the queen Reishi and the king Chaga. Those are the top of the medical system. Then you go down from there. You might go okay, what about astragalus? What else? There’s all the great pharmacopoeia of the top things coming out of, for example, the Himalaya region, going into India and going to Tibet and China. Shilajit would be at the top of that.
You got to be on Shilajit, bro. You got to be on it every day. Okay, yeah, total 100%. It’s a black substance. That’s another thing. Okay, let’s get on this real quick. The color is like the mountains, it doesn’t change very much. The color of the food tells you everything about what it does.
Red food is obvious. It’s and everything’s obvious. Red is cardiovascular system, blood, heart. So if you have problems with your heart, cardiovascular system, you go to red foods. If you have problems with your energy, long distance energy, like endurance that’s Jing and that’s a black energy and it’s black food.
When you think about charcoal, you’re like, oh it’s black. Yep, it takes the burden off your kidneys of processing and filtering. When people say I wish I had an extra liver, oh, you got one. It’s called charcoal. It’s a black substance, it’s a Jing substance. I could have figured this whole thing about charcoal just by the color.
The color tells me it’s a longevity substance. The color tells me it increases endurance. The color tells me it increases vital force that I can then pass along to my children too also and increase their longevity – the black. So not all foods are equal.
Black berries are more powerful. Shilajit, black substance, very powerful, and black beans are more powerful. I like black beans, and then red beans would be second with the other ones, forget it, because of the color. This is a big deal, it really is, anyway.
And if you look at Reishi mushroom is red and Chaga is black, by the way, and Shilajit is black. What else? Let’s go to Tulsi. We’ll go to Tulsi. Tulsi is green. Green is like the great mediator. The neutralizer, detoxifier, deodorizer, that’s Tulsi. It just nails it just by the color.
That’s all you need to know. Tulsi is Holy Basil. In vedic civilization, they said if you don’t have Tulsi grown in front of your house, you don’t have a house. My house in Hawaii, where you walk up the stairs and there’s two Tulsi’s. They are on each side. And they’re not going to be removed. They’re like trees at this point. They’re the African Tulsi. The one that’s real barky.

Looking back, is there a mistake or failure you once regretted but now see as a good thing?
David Wolfe: Because I’m the front guy, and I’m out there when it comes to business, right, I would always trust the people who are behind me and in many cases they were not trustable and so, I found them stealing from me. I’ve been through those kinds of things and or they just muscled their way in deeper and deeper and deeper and muscled me out and tried to run with without me and those cases they failed and, I learned those lessons and I had to learn those lessons.
Now it’s just me, there’s nobody behind this. I run the inside shop and the outside and that’s more responsibility, but I really actually prefer it actually now. I’m the only one who handles many things in the company, so I know nobody has access to things that are vital and can do the tricks that had been done on me before and I get why those things happen and I get what was going as an avatar in this world.
As you are an avatar in this world, you’re gonna have people who are just self-interested or they think money’s gonna solve their problems, or I had this happen. This is interesting. Spirituality doesn’t apply to business. I heard that, it’s like whoa. It does certainly apply to business, then that’s from a spiritual teacher, by the way.
I’ve got some words here, words or phrases that I want to read to you and I just want, like one sentence, gut response.
Robert F Kennedy Jr.
David Wolfe: Legend. Hero. I don’t know how much more I can give to him.
COVID-19.
David Wolfe: Scam, hoax, bioweapon.
Chemtrails.
David Wolfe: Ahrimanic attack, the world’s biggest crime.
Vaccines.
David Wolfe: A disturbance of the sole incarnation of children. That might be the biggest crime. I mean it’s hard to say which is the bigger crime of the two and totally unnecessary.
Deer antler spray.
David Wolfe: Oh, it depends on the quality of the product. Some are ethically harvested and could be good, very anti-aging, very jing and very good, depending on your age if your hormones are going down, for men and women. Also could be very unethical and very toxic and not done correctly.
The earth is flat.
David Wolfe: All anybody has to do is know that water seeks its own level. That’s all you need to know. So the idea, like, for example, in Kauai, I can see from Ku’umo’o Road up 200 meters off the sea level. I can see all of Oahu, both mountain ranges. The furthest mountain range is 90 miles away, which should be obstructed by 3,000 feet of the Earth’s curvature. It’s not obstructed by anything. Explain it to me like I’m a child. Nobody can and therefore it’s flat.

If you could put one sentence phrase principle on a Billboard, Time Square what would it be?
David Wolfe: Today is the best day ever.
Why is that?
David Wolfe: Because that’s all you’ve got, all we can do. We can take all the great Charles Tremendous Jones and we can take all the great Napoleon Hill stuff, all the great Earl Nightingale and the Les Brown of the world and all the Jim Rohn of the world and Tony Robbin of the world. We can compress it down to one phrase, “Today is the best day ever.” It’s all you’ve got. You better make today the best ever,
You’re 55. How long do you think you’ll live?
David Wolfe: Hopefully forever in the imagination. That’s my written goal. I live forever in the imagination.
But you’ve got a lot of years left.
David Wolfe: I had a lot of years left.
What’s next for you? What are you working toward now?
David Wolfe: So all these horizons that are out there and I’ve had great, incredible successes. The Nutribullet was an incredible success. I loved everybody involved in that and man, did we have fun and man, is that a success? And just thank God, I was like, it’s a fulfillment.
Those kinds of things, the outer stuff, have become much less important to me. It’s more about the inner and the inner challenge. What challenges me is every three months, I do a two-week or longer water fast. And today’s day eight, by the way, of water fast. Just being able to do that, to stay in the rhythm and expand it.
Now, I’m an Essene. If you know the story of the Essenes, Jesus was very likely an Essene. All the evidence points to it. They were a race of Hebrews, basically, who went with Jesus, and we’re obligated to fast like 55. I’ve got to fast 55 days this year on water, and so I gotta get going. This is my ninth day this year, my eighth in a row, and I’ll get there.
That’s an internal battle. It’s a battle. It really is, especially when you’re traveling and on planes and moving around and packing up. It is intense internally, and mastering that internal battle is what’s on the horizon for me. It’s actually that. And yesterday was tough. The day before yesterday was tough. Whoa, was that a tough day? Because day six ended up flying through the night and showed up as day seven.
I had a very strong autoimmune reaction being in the planes and everything, and then I had to drink salt water until it stopped and quelled it down. Very tough, but I got through it and I was like, okay, that’s mastered that day. Got through that day, thank God. Now today’s a lot better. It’s going good.
Where can people learn more about you and follow you on social media?
David Wolfe: You can find me, David Avocado Wolfe, everywhere except on Twitter, which is just davidwolfe or X. I went through an intense—I’ve been on Twitter since like July of 2008, wow. So I’ve been through all the chaos of that platform, and I’m just glad I can get my message out there more readily now. That’s all I cared about, anyway.
Under Elon Musk’s care, it’s actually been much, much better. Before, it was really gnarly. I don’t know what that was, but we made it through. And I don’t like to get drawn into the political stuff, but we kind of do, because, you know, the vaccine thing is a political issue, the chemtrail thing is a political issue, and those are key issues for me.
And then, yeah, that’s it. And then davidwolfe.com.
Thank you so much for just your heart, your wisdom, your openness and beyond just this conversation. What I see inside of you is just this genuine desire to see the world be this amazing place and experience from the time someone’s born until the time that they pass. You want them to have a great life.
David Wolfe: Absolutely, and especially with kids. I want the kids to have the childhood I had. I had a great childhood. I had incredible experiences traveling around the world.
My mom’s born in Tehran, so, you know, we used to travel before the Shah got overthrown. When he got overthrown, I never went back, but those experiences were integral to my life experience.
And what a cool, you know, thing for other kids to have—that they can travel, that they can have those experiences going to different countries, that they can have the full capabilities of their soul and their brain and their bodies without being disturbed, at least as little as possible, by the world.
"Today is the best day ever. It's all you've got. You better make today the best ever."
