John is also a contributing author in Awakened Hearts: Stories of Embracing Light, Love, and Limitless Possibilities — a powerful anthology featuring 32 soul-stirring stories from authors who have walked through transformation and awakened to their highest truth.

What happens when a devout Catholic upbringing collides with a fiercely curious mind unwilling to accept blind belief?

For John Klug, the answer came in the form of friction, exile, and ultimately, transcendence. After being asked to leave his childhood home at 18, John’s path led him through restaurant kitchens, early tech careers, transformational trainings, and metaphysical doorways that opened his understanding of consciousness. Now, a full-body channel for an entity known as Jonathon, John shares his journey of reclaiming his spiritual power—and how friction, far from being a curse, can be a portal to transformation.

In this soul-expanding conversation, John reveals how early religious trauma catalyzed his awakening, why he believes all of us are far more powerful than we realize, and what it feels like to be a vessel for divine wisdom. John Klug - Awakened Magazine

In your chapter within Awakened Hearts, you talk about your life before your awakening. Did you experience faith tradition or spirituality as part of your upbringing?

John Klug: My parents were Catholic—my father especially. He was a devout Catholic, and my mother converted for him. Because of his strong beliefs, he wanted his children to follow all the doctrine and dogma strictly, and to live what he saw as the perfect Catholic life.

I didn’t attend Catholic school, but we went to catechism every weekend for our regular dose of religious training. I found the whole experience to be… oppressive, I guess you could say. Even at a young age, I had a sharp eye for hypocrisy—what people said didn’t always match how they acted.

We were also taught conflicting ideas: that God is a loving being but also someone who punishes. That contradiction just didn’t make sense to me.

That early religious upbringing was hard. It set the stage for a lot of inner conflict, particularly between me and my father. I just didn’t believe what he believed, and I challenged him on it. And challenging my father… well, that was a terrible idea.

That probably didn’t go very well.

John Klug: No. When you’re five, you expect your parents to be loving, compassionate, and patient—you don’t expect an angry response. It’s pretty shocking.

At what point did you begin to explore other ways of thinking?

John Klug: That shift came right after high school. Throughout my 18 years living at home, I was required to attend church every Sunday and Catholic youth groups during the week. These sessions were designed to help us work through the challenges of puberty and teenage life—usually with a priest or someone from the church—but it all felt very controlling to me.

Eventually, my parents told me to leave home, and I wrote about it in Awakened Hearts. When I suddenly found myself out on my own, it was a major turning point.

I don’t think we can skip over that, John. You were 18. What precipitated your parents asking you to leave the house?

John Klug: It’s interesting—almost humorous in hindsight—because my parents had all these assumptions about who I was and what I was doing, and most of it wasn’t true.

At the time, I was working at a restaurant that I absolutely loved. It was fun, I had great friends there, and was good at what I did. They started sending me around the Midwest to help open new locations, and I poured a lot of passion into that job. I’d often work late into the night, and by the time I got home, I’d be so wound up that it would take hours to fall asleep. So naturally, I’d sleep in—until noon, or even later.

By then, I had dropped out of college, and my parents just couldn’t understand my lifestyle. Whether it was my mom or my dad in particular, I’m not sure, but their thinking was, “Why are you staying out so late? Why are you sleeping all day? Something must be wrong.”

They assumed I was on drugs—but I wasn’t. I was just working hard and recovering the only way I could. Still, they didn’t want to hear my side. They had already made up their minds.

Eventually, they told me I was setting a bad example for my five younger brothers and sisters. If I was going to live like an adult, they said, then I needed to do that on my own, just not from their house.

So, where did you go after that, and how did that unfold for you?

Awakened Hearts Book - Awakened MagazineJohn Klug: At that point, I had a car, so I lived out of it for a few days. Thankfully, my good friend—the one I mentioned in my Awakened Hearts chapter—talked to his parents, who offered to let me stay in their basement. So I did. I don’t remember exactly how long I was there—it’s been a while—but it was several months.

It worked out really well. His parents were incredibly compassionate, and they saw me in a different light than my parents did. My friend and I had been deep into computer programming since high school—we even had newspaper articles written about us—and we were considered prodigies in our classes. His parents respected me for that. For whatever reason, that part of me never seemed to register with my own family.

Eventually, I found an apartment and moved in with a friend from the restaurant where I worked. And from there… life just kept unfolding.

Yeah, life has its twists and turns. What was the next step for you in terms of personal development, spirituality, or consciousness? How did that begin to unfold over the years?

John Klug: It’s hard to remember the exact order, so I won’t try to map it all chronologically here, though I laid it out pretty clearly in my chapter.

At one point, I started working as a programmer for a small company. Almost everyone there had been involved with an organization called The Center’s Network, which offered the est training. It was a personal transformation program, and after the est training, there were additional weekly seminars people would attend.

I was introduced to it just by being around those coworkers. Hearing them explain it, I thought, “Ah—this could be my way to get ahead in the world.” I saw it as my advantage. At the time, I believed I was at a disadvantage in life—facing obstacles others didn’t have to deal with—and I figured if this training gave me an edge, I wanted it.

So I dove in with full enthusiasm. And the est training ended up being the thing that cracked me wide open. It completely shifted my perspective and laid the foundation for everything afterward.

John Klug - Awakened Magazine

How would you describe the est training? I know it’s not called that anymore. Do you even remember what est stands for?

John Klug: Yeah—it’s an acronym for “Erhard Seminar Training.” It was named after Werner Erhard, who created it. But he was also playing on the Latin verb esse, which means “to be.” So there’s some philosophical layering in the name itself.

The training took place over two weekends—Saturday and Sunday, both weekends—all day, in a hotel ballroom. There was a trainer at the front of the room, the same person leading every hour of every day. They would speak about different aspects of life—ideas and perspectives meant to provoke deep internal shifts.

When you look at the content, you can recognize influences from various traditions. Some felt rooted in Eastern philosophy, some in Western religious thought or spiritual concepts. There were even elements that leaned toward the New Age movement. I think they pulled in pieces from Dianetics, too.

The trainer would talk for long stretches, and then we’d go through exercises they set up—each one designed to disrupt your sense of complacency and make you see, in very stark contrast, the gap between what’s possible in life and how you’re currently living.

They helped you understand how most of your responses to life come from programming—memories, past experiences. The training showed how, as adults, we’re often not creative in reacting to situations. We repeat the same behaviors based on our history.

But one of my most significant breakthroughs was realizing that in any given moment, I could pause and recognize: I have a choice here. Just because something triggers me doesn’t mean I have to react the same old way. I don’t have to get angry. I don’t have to repeat my patterns. I can choose a new response. That was huge. It changed the way I moved through the world.

It sounds like a mix of deep personal development with a bit of spirituality.

John Klug: Yeah, there was some spirituality in the mix. It’s funny you say that—because when I spoke with est graduates who went through it years before I did, they told me it used to be even more spiritually intense. Some of that “woo-woo” content got dialed down by the time I attended.

Still, there were clear spiritual undertones. One exercise that really stuck with me was meant to help you experience yourself as more than just your five senses.

We’d sit in chairs facing each other—close enough that our knees were almost touching—and hold our hands up, palm to palm, without touching. One person was the leader, the other the follower. The leader would begin moving their hands, slowly at first, then faster and in more unpredictable ways.

As the follower, your only job was to keep your hands in sync with theirs—not by watching, but by feeling. And if you let go enough, you’d find yourself moving in perfect rhythm with them… without even thinking about it. It was like tuning into something deeper—something beyond logic or vision. That experience alone showed me there’s more to who we are than what we can physically perceive. I imagine you could stop looking at their hands and still follow them. That was my introduction to the idea that there’s something more here than I’ve been told.

John Klug - Awakened Magazine

They didn’t cover hand movement in the Catholic catechism!

John Klug: Oh, heck no. Definitely not. I’ve got a lot of stories about that, but we won’t go into those right now.

I will say that I made many friends through the est training—people from all kinds of different backgrounds with unique experiences. Through them, I was introduced to things I’d never even heard of before, like neurolinguistic programming.

One of the most profound discoveries during that time was a series of books called The Seth Material, channeled by Jane Roberts and transcribed by her husband, Robert Butts. These books were a game-changer for me. They introduced this entirely new concept: an actual non-physical entity named Seth speaking through Jane—and it wasn’t just abstract, it was deeply personal and undeniably real.

Coming from a religious background, I was familiar with the idea of saints or praying to Jesus—but those were one-sided relationships. No one ever spoke back. But with Seth, you could read the words and tell it wasn’t Jane’s personality coming through. It was someone else. The wisdom, the insight—it was all so eye-opening and empowering for me at that age.

How old were you at the time?

John Klug: I was 20 when I completed the est training, and I discovered The Seth Material shortly after. So I was in my early twenties when I was devouring those books.

When did you start to sense that you might be a channel yourself? When did you begin opening to that possibility?

John Klug: As I progressed in my career as a software developer, I started making more money—and that gave me the freedom to buy more books, attend more workshops, and keep exploring. I was on a mission. Like so many people who start their spiritual journey, I was searching.

That’s when I came across a man named Michael Schuster—he’s passed on now, but he played a massive role in awakening this part of me that’s connected to channeling. Michael was known as a “walk-in,” meaning the soul currently in the body wasn’t originally born into it.

His sister would even say, “The Michael Schuster you know is nothing like the one I grew up with.” And it was true. This version of Michael was incredibly curious—obsessed with anything outside the mainstream, from alternative spirituality to extraterrestrials. He was especially fascinated with the Orions.

Michael encouraged me to explore channeling. He also connected me with his larger network, which is how I met a woman—I wish I could remember her name—who was a powerful full-trance channel. During our session, she channeled an entity named Clark.

Clark described his role as someone who “rattles people’s cages”—and honestly, it reminded me a lot of est. He didn’t do it aggressively, but compassionately. His goal was to help people wake up—to see what had been hidden, to become aware of what they were blind to.

In that session, Clark shared things about me I had never told anyone—truths I didn’t even know myself, but that turned out to be accurate. He encouraged me to explore aspects of myself I had never considered.

The way he engaged was fascinating. He would say something provocative—something that would make me question—and then not answer the question. It was deliberate. He wanted me to go inward and discover the answers for myself.

But at the end of that session, he said something that floored me: “John, it’s been a pleasure speaking with you today. We love your energy, and we would be honored if you would channel us at some point in the future.”

And I thought… Wait, what? Can I channel? I had no idea.

John Klug - Awakened Magazine

Tell us about Jonathon. How were you introduced to him, and how does he work through you now?

John Klug: This happened when I worked remotely and regularly traveled to Erie, Pennsylvania, for a project at the General Electric locomotive assembly plant. I stayed in a hotel downtown—the Hilton—and every weeknight, I’d be there alone in my room.

At the time, I was going through a tape series called The Gateway Voyage from the Monroe Institute. Every night, without fail, I’d follow the guided exercises—get comfortable in bed, put on my headphones, press play, and let Robert Monroe guide me.

Often, I’d fall asleep before the tape finished. But sometimes, I’d wake up to what felt like a question posed to me—“Do you want to participate?” or “Do you want to continue?” And even though I didn’t know what I agreed to, I always said yes.

Then I would feel my being lifted or squeezed out through the top of my head. I’d find myself in this black, senseless void. I couldn’t see anything, hear anything, or feel anything. It was just… stillness.

I had many of these out-of-body experiences. I knew I couldn’t move my physical body while I was “out,” but that didn’t concern me—until one time, something changed. I popped out like usual, floating in the void, and suddenly a voice said, “Jonathon.” It sounded as if someone were sitting right next to me.

That freaked me out. There wasn’t supposed to be anyone in the void.

But later, I realized something important: they weren’t just saying a name—they were addressing me, not as “John,” but as Jonathon.

Over time, I understood that Jonathon—the being I now work with—is me beyond the physical. That’s how we’re known or identified outside of this reality. In this world, I’m John. But in the non-physical realm, I am Jonathon.

It might sound strange, but the physical world is so compartmentalized. We identify ourselves with names, bodies, and personalities. But on a higher level, the self is expansive. Through other channels I trust, I came to learn that Jonathon is from the Sirius B star system—a place known as the home of teachers and ascended masters.

I’m not saying Jonathon is an ascended master, but he is a teacher. And that’s how we work together now: through teaching.

We’re not here to deliver predictions or secret information about governments or alien councils. Our focus is on people’s lives—their challenges, patterns, and beliefs. Jonathon helps people recognize what’s no longer serving them and opens up possibilities for transformation.

He often references things I’ve learned or experienced—sometimes even recommending a book that aligns perfectly with what someone is going through. He’ll say, “There’s a book we recommend you read—it goes into more detail than we have time for, but it addresses exactly what you’re facing.”

So, it sounds like you’re saying Jonathon is your higher self?

John Klug: Absolutely. And I know I sort of glossed over that earlier, but your higher self is who you are outside of the physical system. It’s a much vaster version of you—one that retains all your experiences from across lifetimes, dimensions, and even non-physical realms.

Here in the physical, we’re limited. We don’t remember who we are. We’re born, and by the time we’re a few years old, we’ve forgotten so much—especially anything we may have known in early childhood. And we definitely don’t recall what we’ve learned in other lifetimes or realities.

But our higher self remembers everything. It holds the entirety of our journey—the collection of personalities, perspectives, and energies we’ve ever been. It’s like a soul library.

Through my years of work with Jonathon, I’ve come to believe that your higher self is a particular point of focus created by God—or whatever language you use to describe Source.

While I don’t believe we have a true beginning or end, I see our higher self as a unique expression within the vastness of all that is. It has a distinct perspective, and that perspective—that you—moves through creation, experiencing, learning, and evolving.

For those who are curious, what does it feel like to channel? What’s actually happening in you and through you as you go inside?

John Klug: It’s definitely evolved over the years, but I can tell you how it feels for me now.

An energy—clear, distinct, and unmistakable—comes through. It doesn’t feel like my own thoughts or imagination. It feels very alive… and it has a personality. That’s Jonathon.

When I open to him and allow Jonathon to send his energy through me, I feel carried. It’s as if his energy takes over, and my role becomes one of translation.

Channeling, for me, is about receiving these energetic “thought packages” and turning them into words. As John, I’m not thinking in the traditional sense while channeling. I’m not aware of my surroundings. I don’t have that little internal voice most people are familiar with. There’s no commentary running in the background. I’m fully focused on translating the message—word after word, in real time.

The experience is uplifting, energizing, and healing. After a session, I often feel physically better—lighter, clearer, and more aligned.

When someone signs up for a channeling session, what can they expect?

John Klug: Channeling is one of the main ways I support people.

When someone schedules a session, they’re usually encouraged to prepare some questions ahead of time—things they genuinely want to explore or understand, whether it’s about a specific issue, a relationship, their life purpose, or something more spiritual.

That said, every session is unique. Some people come in just curious, with no specific questions. In those cases, Jonathon often launches into a kind of tutorial or teaching—something incredibly relevant to them, even though they haven’t said a word about it. He knows what they’re carrying, even if they don’t articulate it.

What’s fascinating is that sometimes a person will just begin asking a question—maybe five or ten words in—and I already feel Jonathon has the complete thought package ready. He knows exactly what they’re asking and is fully prepared with a response. It can be a little challenging for me when someone has a long-winded question—because the answer is already there, waiting.

Let me tell you about all my problems!

John Klug: …and I’m just sitting there, waiting to speak what’s already been given. It’s a funny position to be in.

People often notice that their question gets answered—though maybe not how they expected. And while Jonathon is speaking, new follow-up questions may come to mind. But Jonathon keeps answering them—as they’re being formed—so by the time he finishes, there’s often nothing left to ask. He can go on for quite a while, and yet people are just sitting there amazed, like, “How did he know I was going to ask that?”

Some find it a little disconcerting… because, yes, it does feel like Jonathon is reading their mind. And I guess, in a way, he is. That’s not an ability I claim for myself—but clearly, Jonathon has access to that level of awareness.

John Klug - Awakened Magazine

I’d love for you to channel today. I know we talked about you doing that, if that’s okay.

John Klug: Yeah, absolutely. Today is a good day. The sun is shining, and the temperature is just right.

And, just as a side note—for those watching the video—you’re actually in an RV right now. You’re a remote, nomadic channeler.

John Klug: That’s right. I guess the term would be “channeling nomad.” Like a digital nomad, but with a spiritual twist.

ChannelingNomad.com sounds like a great website name.

John Klug: I wonder if it already exists. That would be funny!

But yes, I recently leapt into living in my van full-time. I’ve had it for a few years, but now I’m officially on the road—and there’s a method to the madness. It allows me to travel from town to town and potentially host in-person events through local sponsors or communities I connect with.

That’s the fun part—gathering people together in real life. However, this lifestyle also makes it easier to attend conscious events nationwide. I’ve been to the Conscious Life Expo in Los Angeles, and there are similar expos all over—in places like Sedona and even smaller towns you wouldn’t expect. Living this way opens the door to being present, sharing the work, and meeting people exactly where they are.

Tell us how you begin to drop in. What does that involve for you?

John Klug: It’s all about attention. That’s how I see it. It’s where I focus my awareness, and the body plays a role in aligning with the energy.

Before I begin, I usually hold my crystal. It helps me physically align my energy and brings a sense of calm. I don’t have to keep it long—just enough to center myself. I don’t need the stone, but it’s a helpful tool, so why not use it if it’s there?

From there, I begin the process of raising my vibration. It’s hard to describe because there’s no physical counterpart, but I imagine it as tuning my thoughts—bringing their frequency to a place where they can meet Jonathon’s. His thoughts vibrate at a higher level than our ordinary, everyday thinking, so I breathe and align my body until I feel like I’ve reached that threshold.

It’s not about meeting him halfway—Jonathon goes far beyond halfway—but I have to do my part to become receptive to his energy with minimal restriction.

There’s also a ritual of intention that I follow. We live in a world of duality, and with that comes a spectrum of intentions. On one end, you have energies that serve the highest good of others. On the other hand, those who seek only their own benefit.

So I ask Jonathon, “Do you serve the Master Jesus?” I ask that because the concept of Jesus is, in my understanding, incorruptible. To say “yes” to that question means the energy is aligned with love and selflessness—not self-interest. It’s a quick and clear way to discern the energy coming through.

Once Jonathon affirms that alignment, I then say something like, “Those who are of service to others may participate. Those who are service to self may not participate—except to listen.” That sets the container.

Then Jonathon is there—waiting. Waiting for me to let go of control and release the stream of thought and words. Once I surrender, he takes over the whole show. And even if other energies wanted to come through, there’s really no room for that—Jonathon becomes the central point of focus.

John Klug - Awakened Magazine

Wonderful. I may ask some personal questions, just to see what Jonathon has to say.

John Klug: Sounds good. Hang on—I dropped something and don’t want to step on it. Okay, we’re good.

Let’s start.

I’m sitting on this kind of rolly-polly stool. It doesn’t take up much room, but it’s ergonomic. So if you see more movement in my body than usual, that’s why. But the stool actually helps me straighten my spine, which is important in this process. There’s something about the energy flow in the body—I haven’t figured out all the mechanics, but I know it makes a difference.

As I begin to shift into this focus, I often experience tingling or goosebumps and a chill running up and down my spine. You probably know what I mean. That’s how I know I’m connected with Jonathon.

And sometimes, not always, but sometimes, Jonathon comes in so strongly that a wave of unconditional love washes over me. It’s so powerful that I can’t even speak at first. I get emotional. It’s just… amazing.

So… Jonathon is here now. And I’ve reached that familiar point where I let go… and allow him to speak.

Jonathon: Good afternoon, my friend. How are you on this fine day?

Doing well. Thank you. Thank you for joining us.

Jonathon: You are most welcome. You’ve been talking with John about this “guy,” this “person,” this “thing” named Jonathon. And we use that name as a reference point—but it doesn’t honestly describe us. We don’t go by a sound or internal vibration that matches “Jonathon.” That label is simply shorthand for those in the physical world.

In physics, you use names and labels to identify. That’s understandable. It helps you recall, connect, and organize information. It helps you determine what is safe and what is not, what aligns with your truth and what doesn’t.

So we allow the use of the name Jonathon so people have something to identify with—something they can perceive as separate from themselves. It’s a helpful construct, even though separation is an illusion.

Now… where shall we go from here?

As you look upon what’s happening on Earth today, what do you sense is unfolding on our planet? There have always been periods of transition, but this moment feels particularly intense—especially here in the United States.

Jonathon: Let us begin with something current—this idea that Israel has attacked Iran. You’ve heard of this, yes? It is, in many ways, a repeating pattern on your planet: one group of people attacking another.

You’ve seen this before. In your recent history, Germany attacked Poland. Not too different, in the grand scheme. And yet, what’s unfolding in the Middle East now carries a unique weight. It is a great source of friction. And friction, in this day and age, is being used to help people evolve.

When someone witnesses global aggression, especially if they are caught in that in-between space—not quite asleep, not quite fully awake—it can stir something deep. That friction might evoke fear, anger, sadness, or confusion. Those emotional responses can trigger an inner inquiry: “Where do I fit in this world? What does this all mean? What really matters to me?”

Your world right now is a pressure cooker. Think of that metaphor carefully. A pressure cooker operates through heat and atmospheric pressure. Molecules move rapidly, colliding, agitating, and transforming. And why? Because you want to prepare a meal. You want something nourishing. Transformation is the goal.

Earth, as a system, operates much the same way. You are all in this container together—souls of all levels of evolution. Some are new spirits, still learning the terrain. Others are ancient, nearing the completion of their incarnational journeys here, ready to graduate into other systems.

But the point is the same for all: friction generates transformation.

Friction. That’s a powerful word. I’m hearing you say that what we’re experiencing now is friction… and that friction creates the opportunity for transformation.

Jonathon: Yes, exactly. But not everyone will engage with that opportunity. Some will turn away. They’ll bury their heads, so to speak. They’ll find ways to numb themselves or bypass what the friction is trying to surface.

Still, the friction is there. It presses in. It pokes. It stirs. Because without it, there is no catalyst for change. If life were always easy, joyful, and smooth—what would you really learn? What would you confront within yourself?

Now, we are not making a judgment about ease or bliss. But if you are an eternal being—and you are—and you choose a life without any difficulty, how much of your soul’s depth would truly be activated? What aspects of yourself would remain unexplored?

Friction, conflict, tension… these are triggers. They ignite reflection. They challenge your assumptions. They reveal what is hidden. And that is why you are here. Earth is not a passive classroom. It is an immersive, in-your-face curriculum. And very few make it through this life without engaging with the friction in some form.

That is where growth happens. That is how light is uncovered.

John Klug - Awakened Magazine

I want to ask you a personal question. One thing I’m navigating this season is that I have a big vision—big ideas, creative projects, things I want to experience and offer. And yet, I find myself bumping up against the edges of my capacity to hold it all. And that sense of being at full capacity often feels like stress or overwhelm. One part of me thinks, “Maybe I just need to expand my ability to hold more.” Because in my mind, that expansion would mean less stress. But then I hear a voice—maybe a therapist’s voice—saying, “No, you just need to do less.”

Jonathon: Yes. And that would not be our answer. We observe that you engage in a process of constant judgment and comparison—between the ideal and the actual. You measure your present reality against your vision, creating tension when they don’t match. That tension then shows up as stress.

But what we want you to know is this: You already possess the capacity to hold everything that brings you joy. Everything your heart desires. You already have it.

The issue is not whether you need to increase your capacity. Rather, it’s about identifying and transforming whatever is limiting your access to the capacity you already hold.

And so, here we reach a crossroads. How would you like us to proceed based on what we’ve just shared?

So I need to become more aware of what limits me from experiencing that capacity.

Jonathon: Not necessarily. You seem to be saying, “I have to do all this work myself.” But that’s not the case.

Yes, in hindsight, you might say, “I became aware of what was holding me back,” but awareness doesn’t always have to come through personal striving. You are not alone in this process.

And this is what’s so beautiful about the reality you live in—there are beings, non-physical ones, who are standing by. Waiting. Ready to assist the moment you invite them in. Do you know who we are referring to?

Physical beings or non-physical beings?

Jonathon: We are speaking of the non-physical. Specifically, angels.

Now, of course, you’ve heard of the main angels—those with well-known names. But there are tens of thousands of others—quiet, purposeful presences whose only mission is to support humanity. And yes, that includes you.

So what’s required? Simply this: Set your intention. Be clear in what you desire support with—whether that’s becoming more aware of limiting patterns, or having opportunities arise that help you release those patterns.

Then, ask. That’s it.

I need a good prompt, like I would write for ChatGPT, in order to summon an angel properly.

Jonathon: Not quite that complicated. Angels don’t require highly structured prompts. They already understand the conditions of your humanness. They are familiar with the shape of your thoughts. The difference is that when you consciously invite them in, you open the energetic doorway for communion. And that makes all the difference.

You don’t need the perfect words. What you do need, however, is sincerity—and a request that is not self-canceling.

Let us explain.

Imagine someone gives you an apple. But you immediately say, “I don’t like apples,” or “This apple isn’t good enough,” or maybe you don’t even notice it’s been given to you. In that moment, the apple may as well not exist in your experience.

This is what happens when people ask for something—perhaps in prayer or meditation—and then immediately begin listing all the reasons they can’t have it.

“I’m not worthy.”
“It’s too late for me.”
“My circumstances won’t allow it.”
“It sounds too good to be true.”

These thoughts nullify the very thing that was already on its way.

Here’s what’s important to remember: The moment you call an angel to mind with a sincere intention to shift, the assistance is given. Immediately. The delay in experiencing it usually comes down to two things:

Physical-world time. You live in a realm where manifestations take time. Some unfold quickly, others need more space.

Conflicting thoughts. During that time, it’s easy to entertain doubts, fears, or limiting beliefs that essentially cancel the request before it can materialize.

So yes, the friction you’re experiencing is real. But it’s also a gift—a signal, a teacher, a doorway. And you’re not meant to walk through that doorway alone. Does this make sense?

Yes.

Jonathon: Very well. And so you take on too much for yourself, David. You are more reliant on your resources than you need to be. And it’s good that you’re reliant on your resources, but the enterprise that you are endeavoring to create and to facilitate and to explore and to expand and so on is more than just what your personal resources are capable of by yourself.

You think of using the model of a CEO of a corporation. The CEO doesn’t do every job that’s there to be done, right? The CEO is the person who helps to direct other leaders, who direct other leaders, who eventually direct those individuals who are really doing the field work or that which is required for the business to function and be successful, right?

And you are in a position because of who you are, what you know, and the experiences you’ve had, to marshal the expertise, experience, and capabilities of others to create the end you’re seeking in what you’re doing today. Does that make sense?

Yes. And I’m hearing specifically about non-physical beings that can help in the process, not just physical beings.

Jonathon: Absolutely. Because what can happen with non-physical beings like angels, as we had mentioned, is that they can actually work behind the scenes and cause what you might think of as coincidences to happen, right? If, for example, you’re engaging in some sort of investigation, you need to bring in a vendor that does something in particular—a supplier of some sort—which suppliers or vendors do you actually become aware of? How does that happen?

And as you’ve been asking for assistance here, the angels can arrange behind the scenes those suppliers, vendors, or contacts that would be in your highest interest. If you didn’t do that and request this assistance on your behalf, it would be a more random sort of arrangement, right? You’ll meet the perfect vendor or contact or what have you because you’ve asked for help—because the help you asked for had the time to make the arrangements behind the scenes. You see how powerful that can be?

How important is it for me to know the name of that angel? Oftentimes it feels like people are like, “Oh, I work with so-and-so Angel,” or, “This is my guide.” It seems important to name… is that important or not so much?

Jonathon: It’s not so important. What we would say is, there are various levels of notoriety, perhaps we could say, and a degree of reach that angels have. Of the archangels, like Michael, for example—he is a very busy angel as you might imagine. Not only because of all the work that he’s been given from God, for example, or Source, for his work towards retaining a balance in your world, but also just the millions and millions of requests that he receives—because most people don’t know that there are many more angels than just the few that they’ve heard about.

And so there is a whole section, or group, shall we say, of named angels that have a particular purpose. Or perhaps it’s not the name so much, but their purpose can identify them.

If you wish to read, there is a book with a very good overview of this. It was written by a man named Anthony Williams, who is better known as the Medical Medium, right? He wrote his original book, which discusses who he is, how he came to be who he is, and so on. It has a chapter on angels and identifies several dozen, from what we can remember—we don’t know the specifics—angels that have specific purposes that you can call on.

But there are also 144,000 unnamed angels, right? And so all that’s important for you to do is to be very clear on what your intention is—what it is that you wish to accomplish, perform, do—whatever it is that you’re looking for. And say, “I am contacting the unnamed angels, and I request that an angel or more come forward on my behalf to help me with this intention that I have—this request that I have.” And they will come forward. It’s just a matter of you knowing that this resource exists for you, calling upon it, and getting out of your own way in terms of receiving what it is that they are offering you.

I haven’t worked with angels in that way much. I think what’s fascinating is—even in my Christian background, that I feel like I’ve in large part transitioned out of many years ago—there is this strong sense of, you only talk to God and Jesus. And even though angels are talked about in the Bible all over the place and people talk to angels, it’s funny how even that programming from me as a long-term Christian and pastor is, no, you really don’t talk to angels, you’re not really supposed to. But I’m open to it. Let’s talk to some angels.

Jonathon: Yes, absolutely. And it is interesting too that you have this in your background, right? Because—and we won’t go into conspiracy theories—but it is another way humanity is disempowered, right? You live in a time when there has been a clear, focused intention and energy spent on disempowering people. And that’s just an example of how people are disempowered.

Jonathon, thank you so much for sharing your wisdom today.

Jonathon: We are so happy to hear that. It has been a pleasure to be here with you today. It is a gift that you give to us—for us to be able to come forward and to interact with you. We gain as much or more from this interaction than perhaps you would or will, you see. And so, that is a gift you have given us, and we are filled with much gratitude for you and what you do.

How did that feel for you?

John Klug: Oh, it was really powerful. The energy was coming, and they had so much to say. They also realized that they don’t have that much time to speak. One of the discussions that happened toward the end was the idea of disempowerment, right? They could talk about disempowerment for hours. And yeah, it’s a little frustrating on the one hand, because time is always a constraint. But on the other hand, I can feel their joy and how much they love to interact in this world.

Where is the best place for people to connect with you, follow your work, and book a one-on-one session?

John Klug: The best place is my website, jonathon456.org. There’s a link to book an online session, read stories, and get links to my social media, YouTube, and so on.

You may be anywhere globally, but your website is always in the same place.

John Klug: And not only that, but I’m always accessible because I have a Starlink dish. I can set up my connection to the internet wherever I’m at—except if I’m under tree cover. Then my trusty iPhone and its hotspot serve me well. I’m always available.

That’s great. It’s great to be with you, John. Thank you for sharing your story, wisdom, and channeling. I really appreciate it.

John Klug: Yeah, thank you, David. Thanks for the opportunity. It’s been fun for sure.
