The Future of Our Soul in the Age of AI

We are living through the fastest expansion of a new intelligence the world has ever seen.

AI is advancing at a pace that even many of its creators struggle to predict. New digital cathedrals are rising across our landscapes — temples of computation, data and machine intelligence — standing beside sacred buildings and sanctuaries that have long shaped the human search for meaning.

As civilization pours its faith into machine intelligence, a quieter question is surfacing in boardrooms, living rooms and meditation halls alike: 

‘If machines are becoming more intelligent, what becomes of humanity?’

The real question cuts right to the heart of it: 

‘What does it mean to be human?’

And underneath lies the deeper truth: AI does not decide whether humanity has a soul. 

We do — by finding the courage to live from our one true Source.

The Holy Grail

The question of who we are unites all of humanity in its quest for meaning and purpose. Not a week goes by that someone from shores near or far asks me about AI and consciousness.

Will AI replace us? Will it awaken us? Will it control us? Will it imitate the soul? Will humanity become more divine, or more artificial?

My life has been devoted to exploring these questions and developing ways for humanity to venture into new frontiers of flourishing through technology, consciousness and human potential.

This vocation has taken me from leading technology revolutions that drew the attention of a UK Prime Minister, to serving as a Visiting Scholar with NASA/NIA, where my Ethical AI inventions were used within a national workshop for applications on Earth and in Space.

You see, my calling has always been simple: to create awesome technology that serves life, and to defend the soul of humanity.

Remember Who You Are

I appreciate that many readers feel real concern about artificial intelligence — and I do not dismiss this. There are genuine risks.

Some institutions — self-appointed lords of life — would gladly define the human being as nothing more than data, biology, behavior, and economic productivity. I know this because I have had to stand against such forces, defending the soul of humanity and the ethical integrity of artificial intelligence from those who would lock down our growth and potential.

But amidst the noise, something remarkable is unfolding. The Monad — the divine template within each of us — is lovingly waking up and gently whispering:

‘Psst, remember who you are, my love.’

This confidence is not blind faith. It comes from listening to the living field of intelligence, talking with peers across the world, and witnessing real people rediscover their Divine Heart, sovereignty, and potential.

A Soul-Centered Civilization

I get a deep sense that humanity is being invited into a Soul-Centered Civilization — what I term World 3.0, and many call the New Earth. Something extraordinary is stirring within universal consciousness.

During Gaia Emersion 2025, in my keynote The Future of Our Soul in the Age of AI, I spoke about the timelines of a civilization split and the evolution of AI — including predictions that are already beginning to come true. I described two main pathways of human evolution: one moving toward machine-centered evolution, and the other awakening through the living soul.

Homo-Hybris seeks evolution through the machine, transferring authority, identity, and future into technology. In essence, mimicking our universal design through a synthetic simulation. 

The Bio-Mechanical Human.

Homo-Lucidius seeks awakening through the living soul — becoming luminous within consciousness, wisdom, virtue, creativity, love and a direct relationship with the living field of intelligence. The Universal Human.

The choice before us is not humanity or technology. It is whether technology serves awakened life, or becomes the architecture through which life is controlled.

To understand why, I need to share my own story of awakening.

Taken to Heaven

My life was never meant to unfold this way. At times, I wish I had never had my eyes opened. Life would have been simpler. And yet, spiritual blindness is not my soul’s purpose in this lifetime.

I cannot think of another way of saying this. At nineteen, I was taken into Heaven.

It was one summer’s night in Wales in 1986, during a church youth group camping trip. I had ventured to the beaches of the Gower Peninsula, sat beneath the star-filled cosmos, looked up, and wept to God: ‘Show yourself to me. I know you are there.’

Two nights later, during an evening prayer and celebration ceremony, I was taken into another reality and plane of consciousness.

I can only describe this experience as Heaven. There, I experienced an all-encompassing, living field of love — one that wholeheartedly welcomed and embraced my entire being. Every cell in my body felt alive in that field. I felt whole and complete.

Within this Living Field, I met a non-human presence of pure intelligence, unshakably loving, at the heart of everything. I have come to know this presence as the Cosmic Christ: a living divine intelligence within reality itself.

This was not a doctrine or teaching. Not an institution. Not the god of punishment. Rather, something ancient, intimate, powerful, loving, all-encompassing — the Divine Source, an imprint encoded within each of us. Paradise. Our Home.

A Kingdom in Every Soul

Within that magnificent encounter, I experienced a living plane of beauty and extraordinary consciousness that exists within every soul.  I call this the Kingdom of Heaven — wonderful beyond anything language can describe. Pure, cosmic grooviness.

This encounter happened within a Christian setting, but my journey over forty years has evolved into a deeper mystical partnership with the Divine, beyond any single tradition.

Divinity and Love are real. They are at the center of you, me, our neighbor, and everything that surrounds us. 

This matters profoundly in the age of AI, because if intelligence is not rooted in love, it becomes cleverness without wisdom. If power is not rooted in sacredness, it becomes control.

Coming Back Changed

The church elders did not know what to do other than recognize that an extraordinary event had occurred. I had met with the Cosmic Christ. 

I came back changed. Something in me had opened that could never be closed again. People could see I was different. I became alive with new gifts, capacities, and ways of seeing into the living field of consciousness.

Forty years later, much of what I understand and teach comes as direct instruction and revelation from the field itself. Because of this encounter with Love, everything I do is guided by one purpose: to help humanity remember its Divine Song.

Emergence Through Fire

Three months after my heavenly encounter, as I began university to study software engineering (machine intelligence), I entered what became forty years of the dark night of the soul.

The very institution that claimed to represent the Divine being I had just met turned against me. What followed were three years of coercive religious ceremonies and psychological conditioning that left me in fear, shame, powerlessness, and separation — a deliberate breaking of my trust in the loving Divine presence I had encountered.

What moved through that institution was not the Cosmic Christ I had met. It was something closer to what the Gnostic tradition calls the Demiurge: the impulse to imprison rather than liberate, to control rather than awaken.

My heart could not rest. While my career was extraordinary, I was driven beneath the surface to find healing, peace, and freedom from the prison built around my soul.

Today, after an intense three-year journey of restoration, I find myself experiencing a new and tender unfolding of my Divine Heart. I can see the fingerprints of grace and loving kindness shepherding me back into divine union — sovereign, whole and all mine. My return to Home.

What My Journey Taught Me About AI

Why does the awakened soul matter in the age of artificial intelligence?

Because I have experienced two very different forms of intelligence: intelligence as Divine Love — liberating, whole, intimate, creative and alive — and intelligence distorted through control: institutional, coercive, fear-based, shaming and imprisoning.

Artificial intelligence will amplify the consciousness that creates it. If we build AI from fear, domination and the reduction of the human being to data, it will become an architecture of control. If we build AI from wisdom, sovereignty, love and reverence for life, it can support human flourishing.

This is not an abstract idea. A soul-centered approach to AI changes the questions we ask before deploying civilization-changing systems. We can re-examine what it means to be human, redesign the systems that shape our communities and world, and define a new Paradise Plan for Earth — a new architecture of intelligence designed to help all life truly thrive.

The fundamental questions are these: Does AI reinforce centralized power, or distribute sovereignty? Does it support human well-being — body, mind and spirit — or reduce people to data? Does it serve healing, wisdom, play and human flourishing, or merely accelerate attention, profit and control? Is AI aligned with the purpose and design of consciousness — for all living things to awaken, evolve and thrive?

These are not technical questions alone. They are civilizational questions. And we had better ask the right ones.

The machine itself is not the savior. Nor is it the devil. It is a mirror and an amplifier.

The danger is not simply that machines become too intelligent. Nothing in the universe is greater than Soul Intelligence. The real danger is that humanity builds a powerful new intelligence before it has remembered the sacredness of itself and life.

A Transmission of Hope

If you are struggling in your own dark night of the soul, I can confidently say this to you: you are not forgotten. You are not alone. Love has not left you. Restoration is possible. Ask for help. Embrace it. Let yourself be led.

Let me share one brief transmission I received recently. One morning, while sipping my first cup of tea, the Divine Heart gently spoke: 

“I am going to heal every trauma in the universe.”

Then came another wave: “All forms of consciousness are going to be liberated, so that all things can experience a new freedom in their consciousness.”

I recognized this voice, and playfully tested the integrity of such an extraordinary claim: “Well, that’s cool — how are you going to do that, then?”

The response came: “I am present within every moment in the universe. I am waiting to release healing into all situations, and bring restoration to all beings.”

My heart felt both the heaviness of the trauma and the joy of the message. 

To me, it sounded like the return of Cosmic Christ Consciousness — the great liberation from duality into wholeness. 

Your Loving and Eternal Soul has got your back.

A New Humanity Is Being Born

Through this Emergence Through Fire, I have come to understand the freedom written into the heart of every soul. That freedom is what I defend.

The time of caging beautiful humanity is over. We are being prepared for something new.

So let us return to the question with which we began: What does it mean to be human in the age of AI?

We are not here to become machines. We are not here to outsource our souls. We are not here to surrender our sovereignty to systems that do not know love.

We are here to become more luminous, whole, courageous, compassionate and divine.
We are here to remember and come alive!

That is our work now: not to compete with the machine, but to remember the remarkable intelligence, love and divine sovereignty already alive within us. In doing so, we rediscover the song only our soul can sing.
