I want to begin with something simple, because the mental body is actually simple. We only make it complicated. Most people come to me after years of working on themselves through therapy, books, journaling, and meditation. And they ask: why am I still in the same loop? Why does the same pattern keep returning?
The answer is almost always the same. They’ve been working on the symptom, not the source. They’ve been managing the mind rather than understanding what the mind actually is.

The Mind Is a Sponge
Here is how I understand the mental body. Think of the mind as a sponge. It connects to this dimension and accumulates everything—every event, experience, trauma—every joy. It stores all of it. But where does it store it? Not in the physical brain. It stores everything in the ether. What it does to the brain is change the plasticity of the neurons. The neurons create a certain wiring, and then they respond and operate based on that wiring.
So when you ask, ‘Why do I keep responding this way?’ you’re really asking why your neurons are still wired from that old experience. The mind creates reality based on memory. All of it is memory. If you have a problem with something, if you feel a certain way, it’s because a memory of it is stored in the field, and it keeps replaying.
The mind is a powerful tool. But it is a tool. It’s a channel between the heart and the higher mind. When it stays in that role, it is extraordinary. When it decides it is the creator… when it says, ‘I am the one in charge here,’ it then becomes ego-driven, and that’s when things get difficult.
“The mind creates reality based on memory. All of it is memory. If you feel a certain way, it’s because a memory is stored in the field, and it keeps replaying.”
The Mental Body and the Mind Grid Are Not the Same Thing
This is a distinction I find myself repeating often, because when people don’t understand it, they stay confused about their progress.
The mental body is your personal thought field. It’s part of your astral body. It holds your individual patterns, your personal responses, the beliefs you’ve formed from your own experiences in this lifetime.
The mind grid is something entirely different. It is the collective thought process. It’s what you’ve absorbed from your family, your ancestors, your culture, your religion, the world around you. The mind grid is where the unconscious and the superconscious unite. It’s part of the causal body. It holds the inherited patterns that drive you, the ones you often don’t even recognize as yours, because they’ve always been there.
Most people are trying to clear their mental body while the mind grid underneath keeps replenishing the same material. You have to work on both, but you have to know which you’re working on.
The Solar Plexus: Where It All Gets Negotiated
Everything in the mental body eventually comes down to the solar plexus. This is the battleground, if you want to call it that, between the ego mind and the higher mind. The ego mind lives here. It is the aspect of you that was built on experience, on memory, on protection. It was necessary. It kept you safe. But at a certain point it starts making decisions that no longer serve the evolution of your soul.
The higher mind also works through the solar plexus. It’s the transition point between the fourth dimension and the third. When the ego and the higher mind are not yet aligned, you feel it physically. The stomach. The digestion. The pancreas. If you feel drained every afternoon, if your digestion has been off for years, if you have chronic tightness in your abdomen, that is where the mental body is expressing itself in the physical body. The body doesn’t lie.
Notice also your afternoons. The solar plexus governs the middle of the day, roughly 1 to 3 PM. If that’s when you feel scattered, unfocused, irritable, then that is your solar plexus telling you something about the relationship between your ego mind and your vital force.
“The ego mind will constantly distract you from the root cause. It still thinks it’s doing something spiritual, but it’s just pulling you away from the stillness where the real work happens.”
You Cannot Push It Away
Here is the thing people get wrong most often in their meditation practice. They sit, they feel something uncomfortable come up (a belief, memory, pattern), and they try to push it away. You cannot push it away. That is not how the mental body works.
Everything comes back to the core. Think of the toroidal field. Everything that’s in the field has to process through the center of it. You are the core. These mental perceptions are within the ley lines of your field, and they have to come through the centerpiece of your existence. When they do, you’re allowing stagnant energy to flow. You’re bringing fragments of yourself back to wholeness.
If you can get into a state of stillness and simply observe what’s rising (without interacting with it, feeding it, or arguing with it), that’s when it transmutes. The emotion feels. The mind stays still. The mind does not respond to the emotion of what it feels. It observes. As soon as you start interacting with a pattern, you give it a separate existence within yourself. You make it real again.
So approach it like a child. With gentleness, with innocence. The ego mind cannot be forced. It can only be approached gently, and only then does it open up.
The Planets Are Not Doing This to You
People often come to me during a Mercury retrograde or a full moon and say, ‘I’ve been feeling so off this week.’ And I understand the experience, but I want to offer a different perspective.
The planetary shifts affect you because the mind is frequency and vibration. Around the physical mind, planetary systems also rotate within the field. They’re in correspondence with us. But the planets are not causing your reactions. They’re revealing what’s already in your field. Think of them as mirrors, not forces. When a full moon or a solar flare moves through, it amplifies what’s already present.
If you’ve been doing your work with clearing, transmuting, and bringing things back to wholeness, then those planetary moments become openings. Gateways. You feel them as expansions. If there’s still dense material in the field, those same moments feel like chaos. The difference is not the planet. It’s what you’re carrying.
The Golden Halo and the Purified Mind
In the ancient images of the saints, the masters, the depictions from Egypt, from the mystery schools, you see the golden halo around the head. People think this is symbolic. It’s not. It’s a literal representation of what happens when the mind grid is purified.
When the mental body is cleared, when the causal body has integrated through the pineal gland, there is a disc of golden light that forms around the mind. The pineal gland—which connects us to the causal body, astral body, and higher realms—begins to illuminate. That is the halo. That is what the ancient artists were depicting. They were seeing it directly.
The work isn’t just ‘healing your childhood wounds,’ though that matters. It’s about raising the frequency of the mental body until it aligns with the golden frequency of the higher mind. The saints were obsessed with the divine mind because they understood that this was not only a metaphor but a mechanical process.
“When the mental body is cleared, a disc of golden light forms around the mind. The ancient images of the halo were showing you something real.”
A Way of Being
The mental body wants to clear itself. Consciousness naturally moves toward wholeness. You don’t have to force it. What you have to do is stop creating more resistance, more push-back, or more avoidance…
The moon cycle is a beautiful anchor for this work. Twenty-eight days, the same cycle that governs your biology. Use it to track your patterns. What comes up each month? What keeps returning? If you stay consistent through one full cycle and bring awareness to the mental body, softening into the solar plexus, allowing the stagnant material to process through, you will begin to see shifts in the neurons. New wiring. New responses.
And gradually, you become the observer. The one who watches it all arise and pass without losing yourself in it. That space beneath the patterns, beneath everything you’ve accumulated in this lifetime, is where your true spirit lives.
The mind is a tool. A powerful one. Let it serve you.
