It’s great to have you here today. Let’s begin by exploring your name, Iena SpiritWalker. What does it mean to you, and how did it come into your life?
Iena SpiritWalker: To me, a Spirit Walker is someone who moves effortlessly between two worlds—the physical world we inhabit and the spiritual realm. Essentially, I’m a translator bringing messages from the spiritual plane to our daily lives. This name came to me during a four-day shamanic retreat, under the guidance of a woman I studied with for 15 years.
Initially, I was skeptical. It was a scorching summer day, and I ran to my room briefly to freshen up. While standing in front of the mirror applying deodorant, the name “Iena” came out of my mouth. It startled me—I even glanced around, wondering if someone else had said it. When I shared this with my teacher later, she immediately recognized it as my new name. “SpiritWalker” came through shortly afterward during the actual naming ceremony. Eventually, I legally adopted it, despite initial resistance from my family.
Can you take us back further? Did you grow up in a spirituall-oriented home, or did your awakening come later?
Iena SpiritWalker: My upbringing was fairly traditional Methodist—we went to church on Sundays, but spirituality wasn’t deeply practiced at home. Honestly, I disliked those services intensely and eagerly awaited turning 16 when my parents finally allowed me to opt out.
As a child, my true spiritual connection emerged through animals. I’d spend hours alone in nature, communicating with creatures in the woods. I’d gently pull mice from holes and talk to them, feeding them berries and treats. Animals were safe for me because, unlike humans, they never masked their true feelings. This honesty drew me closer to them than to people.
Later, as an adult, a profound spiritual awakening occurred when my family experienced paranormal activity in our home. A beloved cat was mysteriously declining, unable to move from one spot in our closet, where we later discovered there was an energetic portal. Once spiritual healers cleared the portal, our cat recovered immediately. That event made me realize there was something deeply significant about spiritual energy, prompting me to begin studying it more intentionally.
From that point, how did you deepen your spiritual understanding?
Iena SpiritWalker: Initially, I dove into books and meditation CDs from well-known spiritual teachers like James Van Praagh and Sylvia Browne. Eventually, however, I felt I needed deeper guidance. I stumbled upon a flyer at a local health store for a psychic development course taught by a woman who later became my mentor for 15 years. It felt divinely orchestrated—I even found the flyer again after relocating, as though Spirit was ensuring I wouldn’t miss this opportunity.
Through consistent mentorship, my spiritual abilities, especially mediumship, flourished naturally. I discovered that I could easily connect to spirit, acting as a clear vessel for messages meant to help others. This realization profoundly shaped my path forward.

At what point did you recognize you were meant to help others with these spiritual gifts?
Iena SpiritWalker: Interestingly, my mentor started asking me for readings. It was a clear sign that my abilities were strong enough to support others. Simultaneously, people seeking guidance and clarity began naturally gravitating towards me. It felt evident that my gifts were meant for service.
At this stage, I was a stay-at-home mom with young children. Inspired by my kids, I began offering intuitive development classes for children, noticing how naturally kids accepted and engaged with spiritual teachings. It felt beautiful and organic to teach and guide others, even as my children grew older and found my spiritual practices amusingly quirky.
Your journey has evolved significantly. Now you primarily coach conscious business owners. What inspired that shift?
Iena SpiritWalker: It happened naturally. After working with many clients for over 27 years, I began attracting spiritual entrepreneurs, mostly women, who felt stuck. By focusing deeply on their internal healing, their businesses began to flourish effortlessly. Witnessing this powerful transformation repeatedly showed me exactly where my work was most needed.
I specifically work with women because I believe women are potent healers for our planet. Supporting women who themselves heal others amplifies the impact, creating a powerful ripple effect of uplifted consciousness and profound healing across humanity. That’s where my heart and passion now reside.
Many people feel called to help others even in the midst of balancing full-time work, parenting, or finding a new purpose as their kids grow up. They wonder, “How can I transform my intuitive gifts into a service or product—a soul-aligned offer—without feeling awkward about charging for it?”
Iena SpiritWalker: That’s such a great point. Many spiritual entrepreneurs and healers feel they should give their gifts away freely. But consider this—art and music are also gifts, and artists and singers need to pay their bills, too.
The core issue arises when your pricing isn’t energetically aligned with the transformation you provide. If the price is misaligned, you’ll attract clients who aren’t fully committed—they don’t show up, don’t do the work, and then might unfairly criticize your services.
One of my specialties is Paradigm Shift Healing. I help clients clear their internal blocks and extract their soul-aligned offer during this process. This means clarifying exactly how they’ll deliver their services, the length and format, and finding the energetic pricing match. Once we establish this vision, we reset their nervous system to comfortably hold that higher-ticket offer.
If you’re starting from home and unsure of your first steps, look at your life’s biggest struggles and how you overcame them. Your ideal clients are often exactly where you once stood. Teach what you deeply know and have personally lived. You only need to be about 10% ahead of someone else to effectively guide them forward.

Often, people new to this work feel they don’t have enough experience or certifications. How do you help someone overcome the belief that they’re not yet ready?
Iena SpiritWalker: I recently heard the phrase “serial certification,” and it describes this perfectly—the endless pursuit of credentials because of internal doubt. My advice? Put down the credit card. Pause and integrate the knowledge and skills you already possess. Often, people know plenty intellectually, but they haven’t embodied their knowledge.
In my 27-year career, not one person has ever asked me about my certifications. Clients aren’t interested in pieces of paper—they want real results. Focus on fully integrating your skills and stepping confidently into your expertise, and you’ll attract exactly who needs your guidance.
There’s clearly both a mystical and a practical dimension in your work. How do you help people integrate these aspects?
Iena SpiritWalker: I emphasize that we are divine beings inside physical bodies—we have one foot in spirit and one on the earthly plane. True success and fulfillment require nurturing both aspects.
The spiritual and energetic work—the meditation, intuition, and magic—is crucial. Equally important are practical actions: training your mind, taking care of your physical health, staying hydrated, and eating nourishing food.
I often use the analogy of driving a car. You need a skilled driver (your spiritual awareness) and a properly maintained vehicle (your body and practical habits). If either is neglected, you’ll eventually break down. Both are essential to fulfilling the unique purposes you’ve come here to accomplish.
You’ve talked about mindset, past trauma, and even past lives impacting a person’s business success or struggles. Can you expand on how these factors influence our journey?
Iena SpiritWalker: Absolutely. Our success or stuckness in business often goes far beyond a simple mindset. Epigenetics, the science of cellular memory, has shown that trauma can persist across at least four generations—that’s hundreds of years of ancestral struggle embedded directly in our cells.
This inherited trauma impacts our confidence, our relationship with money, and our capacity to succeed. To move forward, we need to address these ancestral energies directly. I guide my clients through powerful ancestral clearing meditations. In these sessions, we communicate with our ancestors, acknowledge their hardships, and request their support to break harmful cycles. This not only heals ourselves but creates a ripple effect of healing throughout our lineage.
When we honor and release these ancestral patterns, we open pathways to deeper support, success, and personal empowerment.

If I’m a business owner feeling stuck, how would you suggest I start talking to my ancestors?
Iena SpiritWalker: Let’s walk through a brief ancestral connection together. If you’re able, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Think about the primary challenge you’re currently facing in your business—perhaps it’s about money, clients, or some other blockage. Allow that challenge to gently surface.
Imagine your ancestors surrounding you, representing various time periods, backgrounds, and ages. Make eye contact with them, feeling their love. You can gently inquire why they might be holding you back from overcoming your current challenge. Pay attention to any images or messages that come to you.
Express gratitude, saying, “I’m sorry you experienced this pain or struggle. Please understand I wasn’t there; it wasn’t my experience. I know you mean to protect me, but I intend to heal this for our lineage moving forward. Know that as I heal, the benefits ripple back to you as well.”
Visualize their expressions softening as they clear a path, allowing you to move forward. Request guidance from them, inviting signs and symbols to help release the past so you can all progress together. Feel their gentle encouragement. When you’re ready, return your awareness to this moment, perhaps journaling the insights that surfaced.
The moment you started this meditation, my great-grandfather vividly appeared. He had owned a gas station in Warrior, Alabama, that eventually closed when a new highway diverted traffic away. Instantly, I felt the weight of his sorrow and grief from that event. It was remarkably clear.
Iena SpiritWalker: That’s amazing and beautifully profound, David. Thank you for sharing. This process can indeed reveal surprising and powerful insights. You don’t need extensive knowledge of your ancestral history to do this—simply remain open to whatever arises.
For instance, around money challenges, some clients discover ancestral hardships like poverty in coal-mining communities, while others uncover ancestral wealth accompanied by profound unhappiness. Ancestral memories impact us deeply and can manifest as subconscious blocks. Through this gentle recognition and release, we invite deep healing.
This experience was incredibly fascinating. I’m feeling emotional just thinking about it.
Iena SpiritWalker: Yes, ancestral healing can be deeply moving. It’s a powerful tool I frequently use with clients, both individually and in group settings.
Your Instagram is captivating—one of your posts titled “The Sphincter Effect” really grabbed my attention. What exactly is the sphincter effect, and why is it important?
Iena SpiritWalker: I’m so glad you brought this up! Essentially, the “sphincter effect” describes the moment when you’re making a financial commitment to a high-value coaching or personal development program. As you’re about to hit “purchase,” there’s that brief tightening—you’re aware it’s a financial stretch, yet you deeply believe in its potential to change your life. At that instant, you fully commit and promise yourself, “I’m all in. I will make this work.”
When people invest significantly in themselves, they engage deeply, completing assignments, asking questions, and participating fully. This level of commitment yields profound results, benefiting both client and provider. In contrast, if your pricing isn’t aligned with the true value of your offer, you may attract clients who aren’t fully committed, don’t do the necessary work, or might not even show up.
For example, before my pricing was energetically aligned, I had a client casually cleaning her kitchen during our Zoom coaching session, clearly disengaged. It wasn’t personal—it reflected misalignment on my part. Correct pricing transforms your experience, ensuring energetic and financial alignment, reducing stress, and allowing you to serve your clients at your highest capacity.

Why is it so important to invest in yourself as a conscious leader, healer, or coach—not just to get a certification, but to truly invest at a high level?
Iena SpiritWalker: If we’re going to lead or help others, it’s essential for us to keep evolving. If you’re not growing, you won’t effectively help others move forward because things change so quickly. On a deeper level, energetically, people won’t invest more in you than you’ve invested in yourself. For instance, if you’ve only spent $200 on a course, it’s energetically misaligned to expect others to invest $10,000 in your offer. People sense this disconnect subconsciously. When you’ve truly invested in yourself at a high level, you confidently convey the value of your offerings because you deeply understand the transformational power of personal investment.
That resonates strongly. Initially, I was skeptical about such high-level investments. My first major investment didn’t turn out well, but my second substantial investment was transformative. It multiplied my resources, and now I deeply resonate with your point about energetic alignment.
Iena SpiritWalker: Exactly. Unfortunately, there are people in all professions who aren’t heart-led, and negative experiences happen. But these experiences become valuable lessons. It’s crucial to heal from them rather than allowing them to prevent future growth. Think of it as burning your hand on a stove—you don’t avoid the stove forever. Instead, you learn to approach it with more awareness and caution next time.
Tell me more about how you work with people individually and about your six-month course, The Sacred Success Shift.
Iena SpiritWalker: Absolutely! I work primarily with women who are spiritual or holistic entrepreneurs, feeling stuck yet sensing they’re meant for something bigger. There are two ways we can collaborate: private one-on-one coaching or the group coaching experience called The Sacred Success Shift. Both are six-month commitments, with an option to continue further, which many do.
Each path includes my signature Paradigm Shift Healing, where we deeply heal what’s holding you back, extract your soul-aligned offer, determine the energetic price point, and establish a clear goalpost. We then focus on attracting soul-aligned clients, clearing money blocks, and creating high-ticket offerings customized to your calling.
Is the Sacred Success Shift something people can join anytime, or does it have set start dates?
Iena SpiritWalker: It’s rolling enrollment. Participants can join anytime, accessing pre-recorded modules and two weekly live group Zoom calls for guidance, community, and celebration. One of those calls is a relaxed gathering to share experiences and wins, which creates a supportive community that many entrepreneurs deeply need.

How can people connect with you? What’s the best way to reach out?
Iena SpiritWalker: People can easily find me on my website or connect with me on Instagram and Facebook. You’re always welcome to private message me—I encourage anyone feeling called to reach out.
One final question: What message do you sense the universe calling you to share right now?
Iena SpiritWalker: To all the sisters feeling stuck yet sensing that inner nudge, it’s your moment to step into your truest, biggest self. It’s time to rise together, creating a magnetic web of healing across the planet. The call is clear, my lovelies—let’s do this together.
Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom, heart, and story. Your presence is genuinely inspiring, and I deeply appreciate the work you’re doing in the world.
Iena SpiritWalker: Thank you, David. Your light is equally bright and necessary. I’m deeply grateful to you and your audience. Thanks for spending this time with me today.
