Using the B.E.S.T. Technique to Facilitate Healing and Energetic Balance – An Interview With Natasha Davidson
Natasha Davidson is a B.E.S.T Practitioner and founder of Heart Rooted Health. Through a gentle healing science called BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.), Natasha is able to help others with their mental, emotional, and physical health by removing subconscious interference that’s keeping the body from healing.
Unlock the secrets of transforming your life from within.
In this episode, we journey with Natasha Davidson as she recounts her evolution from a stringent Catholic background to a deeply personal, non-religious spiritual awakening. Driven by her mother’s health struggles and a search for greater purpose during her college years and corporate career, Natasha reveals how pivotal works like “Radical Remission” by Dr. Kelly Turner and “The Energy Codes” by Dr. Sue Morter bridged science and spirituality, empowering her to shift from a victim mentality to a creator of her own reality. (Interview has been edited for readability.)

Tell us about your own story of awakening to spirituality, mindfulness, meditation, and breath.
Natasha Davidson: I grew up very Catholic, and I went to Catholic school. I even prayed the rosary at night with my mom. We were really devout Catholics. Then I went to college and kind of wanted nothing to do with religion again. I entered the corporate world and lived that lifestyle for a while. I was in sales, and it has a certain lifestyle, but I wasn’t fulfilled and wanted to do something more fulfilling. I remember a point where I thought, “I want to sell something I’m passionate about,” and then I left the corporate world and went on a journey of discovering what healing really means. What is health? What is healing? Why do some people heal and others don’t?
What motivated you to have that question?
Natasha Davidson: At that time, my mom was experiencing what is labeled autoimmune issues, and as a loving daughter, I wanted to help her figure out what was going on. I came across a book called “Radical Remission” about cancer patients who spontaneously healed. They talked about nine key factors, which were not necessarily things doctors would recommend but were based in spirituality, resolving unresolved emotions, having a sense of community, and purpose. Right after that, I discovered a teacher in energy medicine – Dr. Sue Morter. She resonated with me because she talked about bridging science and spirituality. I started following her.
She answered all the questions I had. It was like the puzzle pieces were coming together. I went to her first in-person seminar, a three-day workshop in Los Angeles, and my mind was blown. These were new concepts I hadn’t been exposed to before. That started me down the path of transitioning from a victim mentality of “This is all happening to me” to “This is all happening for me.” I realized I’m the creator of my reality and life experience. This continued my awakening to understanding I’m pure awareness, not just this body and mind. I’m spirit, I’m eternal, and that’s how it evolved into this spiritual awakening.
How did that intersect with the Catholicism you grew up with? How did you reconcile these two worldviews?
Natasha Davidson: When I was that young, innocent girl, there was a purity to certain aspects of religion. They’re based on the idea of spirit and mind-body-spirit together. But for me, the middleman, like priests, weren’t necessary. I’ve discovered I can have my own relationship with my higher self, with my divine self, between my soulful self and my human self. I appreciate people who feel better going to church because it’s a safe space to connect with their inner self. Catholicism was important in exposing me to different ideas, but my ideas have since evolved.
I believe that I am an aspect of God. I am universal intelligence, I am all that is. I decided to come into this physical reality and energetically compressed myself into physical form to have this life experience. We all have access to universal intelligence, to our godly self, but we’ve been so caught up in this worldly experience that we don’t realize we have that access.

Did you read “The Energy Codes” before the workshop or after it? How did that book impact you?
Natasha Davidson: The workshop was her release of the book and an opportunity to teach the attendees how to teach from the book. We learned all the concepts in the book, and once it was released, we were able to teach from it.
How did you make the shift from exploring energy and spirituality personally to beginning to help others? How did that unfold for you?
Natasha Davidson: I have a deep love for humanity. Witnessing my own shift from being stuck in my head to realizing I don’t need to figure everything out, I’m completely taken care of, made me want to bring that awareness to others. People are constantly worrying about the future or are depressed about the past. It’s a shift in perspective. If I can offer a different perspective and help them see things from a brighter light, their lives can be transformed just like mine was.
What is the BEST Technique, and how did you learn it?
Natasha Davidson: Dr. Morter taught a technique created by her father 50 years ago called the BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique (BEST). I was attracted to it because I saw how it shifted the energy within a person quickly. As a facilitator, I identify dissonant energy in a person’s body or energy field, bring awareness to it, and then bring vibrations of love and acceptance to harmonize and balance it. Physical ailments often heal as a byproduct. Witnessing these rapid transformational shifts is so powerful and exciting for me.
You said the first step is being aware of the dissonance in someone’s energy. Is this done by interviewing them, or is it more intuitive?
Natasha Davidson: It’s revealed to me either by asking the body in person or feeling the answer if someone is on Zoom. The body reveals what’s in priority to be healed. It’s like how stem cells know where to go in the body to bring healing. The energy knows where the most disharmony is and guides me to it. I identify the stored memory pattern causing the disharmony and work to bring harmony and balance with the treatment.
When you say it brings it to you, which of your clair senses do you use to receive that information?
Natasha Davidson: I feel it in my body. When I ask universal intelligence, I feel the answer as a yes or no. Sometimes I get downloads, like knowing someone needs more seaweed because they are low in iodine. This kind of channeling comes from working on opening up to receiving messages from universal intelligence.
People are starting to open up more and more to, you know, going to meditation class or understanding energy and quantum physics and all of this stuff. That’s kind of that bridge to opening themselves up to more of their spiritual, divine self, really.
I think more and more people are really tapping into their soulful self. It’s like their soul can sense that it desires its own expansion and expression, and I think that’s what people are open to.
You said that you use the vibrations of love to bring about balance…how do you do that? Are you just feeling loving thoughts? Are you using your hands, or what’s going on?
Natasha Davidson: With the BEST technique, what I’m discovering are these five keys to the stored memory pattern. What’s identified is the emotion tied in with this memory pattern. There’s an eye position that the person will need for the synchronization, so their eyes need to be either open or closed, looking up, down, left, right. There’ll be a breathing pattern, so either they’ll have to hold their breath in or hold it out or do some sort of rhythmic breathing. They’ll need to think of a number, so a number one through nine. Somehow the vibrational frequency of that number is tied in with the stored memory pattern.
And then for the synchronization, I’m accessing a different area of their brain. It might be their prefrontal cortex, their frontal lobe, where we strategize. It might be their temporal lobe, where we experience knee-jerk reactions, or it might be at the base of their skull, in their primitive brain, where we hold deep subconscious memory storage. So, when we do all five of those things at once, the synchronization… what I’m feeling for is synchronized energy. So, before the energy was dissonant, there was disharmony, it wasn’t unified. And so, when we do all these five things at once and I feel for the unification of the energies, then I know that they are energetically balanced.

Are you coming up with those things in terms of the area of the brain, the eye location, the breathing, the number? Are you coming up with those, or are you asking them and they intuitively know?
Natasha Davidson: I’m not asking their conscious mind. I’m asking their body or their energy field. I’m asking universal intelligence. The client does not tell me. I have the knowing that comes from universal intelligence, and it is demonstrated through the body and the energy field of that person.
How long do they have to do the five things?
Natasha Davidson: It’s just a few seconds, maybe. It depends. It depends how quickly the energies are synchronized, probably about 10 to 20 seconds before I typically receive the message that the energy is harmonious and synchronized.
How do you know that the energy is now balanced?
Natasha Davidson: When I first started with a person on a massage table, when I first learned this technique, everything was visual. I wasn’t feeling and sensing anything. I was visualizing how the body shifted, right? So, when I would ask the yes and no questions, the leg length on a person would shift. Either one leg would go short and the other one would go long, or they would be even when they were imbalanced first. So, I was witnessing with my eyes how their body shifted when I asked it questions.
What kind of questions would you ask?
Natasha Davidson: For example, I have a chart of emotions with 140 different emotions. I might ask, is the emotion on the left or right side of the chart? Then I narrow it down further, asking if it’s on the top or bottom. This helps me pinpoint the exact emotion. I also ask yes or no questions, like if this unresolved issue is due to something in their past or present, and whether it affects their mental, emotional, or physical body. These questions guide me through the process.
When I first learned this technique, I observed everything in person. I don’t use any tools; I could feel the energy pulsating in my hands and could tell if the energy was synchronized. Now, even when working remotely with someone in Europe or Australia, I can still feel the synchronization. Initially, I used to close my eyes and feel the answers, which helped me perfect my ability to sense the energy and now I can do it anytime.

It sounds like you have a high level of sensitivity to spiritual things. How do you maintain that sensitivity? Is it natural, or do you have to work on it?
Natasha Davidson: I’ve received many treatments myself to clear dissonant energy from my body and energy field. I’m not perfect, but these treatments have made me more in tune with my body. Before a treatment, I always center and ground myself with breathing exercises, connecting the energy of the cosmos with the earth. Staying grounded is essential because I can get very etheric. My body will tell me when I need to be grounded. Over the last four to five years, I’ve become more sensitive to what my body reveals to me.
You have two teenage kids. What do they think about your work? What do they tell their friends?
Natasha Davidson: Great question. At the beginning, I practiced this technique on everyone, including my kids. If my daughter hurt her knee playing soccer, I’d have her hop up on the massage table, and they’d see the pain go away. This made them more open to it. However, with teenage kids, there might be a perception that it’s weird or not normal. But as this kind of work becomes more mainstream, it’s becoming more accepted. Teenagers just want to be normal and accepted, so it’s part of that journey.
Talk to us about channeling. You mentioned you’ve become more aware of it. What is channeling, and how does it play a role in your work?
Natasha Davidson: I’ve realized I’ve been channeling without being aware of it. By centering and getting grounded, I’ve opened myself up to receiving information. Channeling can be verbal, written, or through music—it’s about tuning into spirit and pure consciousness without the mind placing judgments. It’s a purity that comes through voice, body, writing, or music. Incorporating channeling into my work has allowed me to receive messages that I can relay to my clients.
Who is an ideal client for you? Who do you help the most?
Natasha Davidson: Anyone experiencing stress. I’ve helped many people who feel overwhelmed with stress or feel like they don’t know themselves due to stress. It can also show up as physical ailments. People who have tried conventional medicine, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and haven’t found relief often come to me. The ideal client is someone curious, open, and willing to try something new. People experiencing grief and anxiety also benefit significantly from my work.
You offer a monthly free group session and a free discovery call. How can people connect with you to take advantage of these resources?
Natasha Davidson: I’m available for a 15-minute discovery call to chat and answer any questions. I also do a monthly group session where I gather the energies of all participants and find what’s most in disharmony for the group. It’s not an individual treatment, but it gives a feel for the work. People can sign up for both on my website, heartrootedhealth.com/book-now. It’s a great way for people to get introduced to this work.
If someone is struggling today, what advice would you give them?
Natasha Davidson: I’d suggest that you look inward and pay attention to your breath. Taking time to slow down, be still, and observe your breath and thoughts can help you get in tune with the answers within. We often focus on fixing the outside world, but all the wisdom is within us.
