The Most Spiritual Thing You Can Do Is Learn How to Actually Be With People
Everyone’s meditating. Everyone’s journaling. Everyone’s microdosing, breathworking, sound-bathing, pulling tarot cards, going to Bali and Tulum…and still we go home and shut down when our significant other gets emotional. Deflecting when a friend needs us. Performing presence while actually being completely absent. Here’s what nobody wants to hear: your spiritual practice means nothing if you can’t be in a real relationship. Not a picture perfect curated one. Not a comfortable one that lets you get away with your immaturity. I’m talking about a REAL one; where someone needs you to actually show up fully without an escape route.

What Does It Really Mean To Do The “Inner Work”?
Everyone talks about doing the inner work. Very few people are actually doing it.
You know what I see a lot of? People who meditate every morning, have a journaling practice, go on silent retreats, burn sage, pull tarot cards, and read every self-help book they can get their hands on – and who still can’t have a hard conversation without shutting down, blowing up, or running away. None of this is inner work; it’s avoidance.

The Dark Night of the Soul: When Everything Falls Apart, and Why It Has To
The most devastating season of your life may also be the most necessary. Here is what it really is, what it’s asking of you, and how to survive it.
There is a kind of suffering that does not always announce itself with a particular event. It’s not always triggered by an accident or a diagnosis or a loss —although those situations can absolutely trigger it. The kind of suffering I’m talking about is a slow collapse of meaning.

Sex Is Sacred: The Energy Exchange You Can’t Afford to Ignore
This is quite possibly one of the most controversial topics….and I’ll always be the first to talk about it.
Sex is not casual. It was never meant to be. This is not about morality, it’s about energy. When we begin to understand sex through the lens of energy, everything changes. Choosing our partners with discernment, protecting our aura, and understanding our emotions after intimacy is how we reclaim our power.

Finding God Within: What It Actually Means To Connect To The Creator
For much of my life, I understood God as something external — a higher authority to appeal to, obey, or wait for. I learned that God existed somewhere outside of me: in institutions, doctrines, leaders, or moments of divine intervention. Spiritual growth, I believed, meant getting closer to that external source. I grew up in a Muslim/Catholic household and even though both my parents weren’t necessarily religious, I was still taught that God was an external power that had to be feared. Religious structures and its narratives never resonated with me, and truth be told, I never felt truly connected to God because that energy felt so elusive. I constantly felt like I was chasing something externally. I also never resonated with the narrative of fearing God…why would a loving and supportive God want us to fear him?

Why Manifestation Requires Shadow Work
I remember when I first learned about mainstream manifestation. I clearly remember reading The Law of Attraction, and I was so intrigued by the concept of visualizing everything I wanted and snapping my fingers to make my wishes come true. I became a master manifester—literally everything I wanted, I got. But over time, I started realizing that these things I manifested didn’t necessarily make me feel better or more complete. If anything, I felt like I was avoiding myself through this practice. I also felt like I was manifesting from my wounds.

Creative Alchemy: Transforming Pain Into Power – An Interview with Yasmin Elzomor
For Yasmin Elzomor, a spontaneous dark night of the soul at age 21 became the catalyst for a profound inner awakening. What began as an unexpected panic attack unraveled an unhealthy relationship, misaligned friendships, and a life that no longer reflected who she truly was. It also opened the door to shadow work, somatic healing, and the deeper spiritual connection she had never found in the religious structures she was raised in.

Is New Age Spirituality Leading Us Away From True Sovereignty?
The Aesthetic of Spirituality
Somewhere along the way, “spirituality” turned into an aesthetic. It’s become more of a performance—a checklist of trends we feel pressured to follow so we can look enlightened instead of actually doing the messy inner work (which isn’t so aesthetically pleasing).
