Marie Diamond - Awakened Magazine

Can you share your background, including where you grew up, your experience with spirituality or faith as a young person, and how that evolved into an awakening to consciousness and mindfulness?

Marie Diamond: I was born in the enchanting city of Bruges in Belgium—a city known for its beauty, romance, and deep sense of history. I grew up in a traditional Catholic family, very devoted, very structured. From a young age, I felt a profound connection to the Divine. Church was such an important part of my life. I loved being there; it felt like coming home to the presence of God.

There were many spiritual moments in my family, but one particularly mystical event marked the beginning of my journey. My mother was 43 at the time and believed she was not pregnant. But a visiting priest from Sri Lanka—who was on sabbatical at the monastery we attended—came to her and said, “I am here to baptize your child.” She looked at him and said, “But I’m not pregnant.” And he responded, “Yes, you are. I saw you in a dream. I recognized you in the church today.” She went to the doctor, and sure enough—she was already five months pregnant with me.

This same priest baptized me in a very sacred and unusual way—in Latin, in French, and even in his local language. He performed the ceremony, creating a powerful energetic initiation for my soul. Looking back, I see how unique and divinely orchestrated that moment was—it set the tone for my entire life.

Later, another priest who was close to my father shared something extraordinary: “Your daughter will have the gift of sight. She will be able to see what others cannot. But don’t be afraid—it is a gift from God.” And so, from a very early age, I was allowed to express my spiritual experiences openly.

As a child, I could see energy. I saw chakras, I saw light fields, and sometimes I even saw when people were ready to pass on. I would say, “Grandfather is going to die tomorrow,” and the next day, it would happen. Or I would sense when someone couldn’t be trusted because of the dark energy around them. My family trusted me, because the priest had affirmed that it was a divine gift.

I was both deeply Catholic and highly spiritual—an unusual combination, but one my family embraced because of the spiritual confirmations they had received. If I said I saw an angel, my mother would smile and say, “That is beautiful.” I was allowed to speak freely about my experiences, which was such a grace in a conservative environment.

When I was seven years old, I had a visit from an ascended master. I didn’t know who he was at the time, but he began teaching me how to meditate. He guided me, gave me instructions, and I began a meditative practice that opened portals of wisdom far beyond my years.

But like many sensitive young girls, at age 15, I began to shut some of that energy down. Life got louder. And then, something extraordinary happened. I had a major accident—I was run over by a truck. I was pronounced dead at the scene.

My mother, at home, felt something instantly. She turned to my father and said, “Something has happened to Marie. We need to get ready. Someone will come to tell us.” Moments later, a teacher arrived with the news. My parents rushed to the scene, and by then, a cloth had already been placed over me.

But that was not the end of my story—it was the beginning of a profound return. A return to my soul, to my purpose, to the sacred mission I came here to fulfill.

Marie Diamond - Awakened Magazine

Can you share more details about what happened? Were you walking, riding a bike, or in a car when it occurred?

Marie Diamond: When I was just 15, I had a life-altering accident. I was riding my bike along a very busy street when a truck hit me. I was thrown across the road, landing on a bed of sharp pebbles. My face was torn open—my skin was completely ripped away. The injuries were so severe that I fell into a coma.

I later learned that when my mother arrived at the scene, she saw me lying lifeless in the ambulance. I was already declared dead. She screamed at the medics, “You have to revive her!” And so they tried again. But by then, I was already hovering above my body.

I could see everything. I saw my mother in deep distress. I saw the young ambulance worker with blonde hair and blue eyes. Even at that moment, I had this gentle thought like a 15-year-old girl, “Oh, he’s really cute,” as I floated above the scene.

And then, I left. I moved through layers of light, into other dimensions. I found myself in the presence of beings of light—so loving, so radiant. They told me, “You must return. You are here to enlighten more than 500 million people.” That mission was planted in my soul at that very moment.

When I came out of the coma a few days later, the doctors told my family I would need extensive plastic surgery. My skin was gone. But something within me was very clear. I turned to my mother and said, “You will not approve the surgery. I will heal myself.”

Now, you have to understand—at 15 years old, I had no knowledge of energy healing. In my world, healing came from saints, from Jesus, from divine grace. But suddenly, I felt the energy in my hands—warmth, tingling, light. I instinctively began placing my hands on my face.

Within two weeks, I returned to school. My skin had completely renewed. It was my first conscious experience of energy flowing through my body—and it changed everything.

I still struggled with health challenges after that—especially with memory—but the accident had opened me up even more. I had crossed to the other side. The veil was lifted. My clairvoyance expanded. I could see more clearly into the spiritual world than ever before.

From that point on, I felt a calling to make a difference. I didn’t know the word “enlightenment” back then. In my Catholic upbringing, we didn’t speak of things like that. But I knew in my heart—I was here to serve, to help others, to be a light.

I became very active in the Church, volunteering wherever I could—supporting priests, working with healing ministries, and giving my time to local community efforts, like the scouts. But deep inside, I sensed my work needed to reach far beyond the local.

I started dreaming of making a difference for millions. At that time, I thought perhaps it meant joining the United Nations, or working with UNESCO or the European Union. So, I decided to study law. In those days, to become a diplomat, you needed to be a lawyer.

I became an international lawyer and began working for the European government. On the outside, I was practicing law, but on the inside, I was still meditating, still receiving messages and visions, still growing spiritually.

And then, at the age of 27, I had what many would call a profound spiritual awakening. Something shifted entirely. My heart burst open with love—so much compassion, not just for those around me, but for all of humanity. It was as though I remembered fully why I had come here.

From that moment on, everything in me changed. I still practiced law, but I was no longer just a lawyer. I was a woman walking with deep purpose, guided by light, here to awaken others and to fulfill the mission that had been given to me—long before I even understood it.

What happened when you were 27?

Marie Diamond: It was such an extraordinary moment in my journey—I had been invited to experience Tibetan sound healing. The man guiding the session had a very large gong in his healing room. He told me, “I almost never use this gong. Most people aren’t ready for it. When I strike it, it stays quiet for about 15 minutes, and then—only then—an OM sound starts to arise from deep within it.” He looked at me gently and said, “I don’t think you’re ready for that.”

He placed Tibetan bowls around me, and as he began, I immediately felt this sense of deep familiarity. Although I had no background in Tibetan traditions, I knew the energy. I felt like I had done this before. My whole being opened, and it felt completely natural.

And then, without me realizing, he struck the gong.

Suddenly, I heard it—the OM. And then… I became the OM.

In that instant, I left my body once again. I traveled through dimensions of light until I arrived at a place of complete stillness—the void, what I now understand to be the space before creation. It was before time, before matter, before sound. Then, gently, the OM resonated again, and I witnessed the creation of all things. I saw light being born, sound taking shape, stars forming, galaxies unfolding—the Milky Way spiraling into existence. Planets, souls, consciousness—I didn’t just see them… I became them. I became part of everything.

When I returned to my body, I slowly woke up—two hours had passed. To me, it felt like five minutes. Time had collapsed. The man said to me, “I couldn’t even touch your body. You were vibrating at such a high frequency that I had to just step back and let it happen.”

Not long after, the Ascended Master, who had appeared to me when I was a child, returned. I asked him, “What was that?” And he said simply, “You are it.” I had no idea what he meant at the time, but later I learned others had similar experiences—and that this was what many describe as an enlightenment experience.

But for me, it was simply a knowing—a profound shift. I went back to work the next day, but I wasn’t the same. My heart was more open than ever. I felt pure love, total compassion, and a deep non-judgmental presence. Within a few months, people started showing up—asking for support, healing, guidance. I didn’t advertise, I didn’t promote—I just followed what was being shown to me.

At age 31, I formally began teaching to an audience. I had no idea others were doing this too. I was simply following inner guidance. My classes grew quickly—thousands of people began showing up in Belgium. I was teaching meditation, spiritual awareness, deep energy work.

And something quite profound happened around that time as well. I remembered an answer I had received when I was 15 and had asked my Ascended Master, “Why did I go through such a painful experience?” And he said, “Marie, you had bad Feng Shui.” At the time, I had no idea what that meant.

But he gave me some simple principles, and I rearranged my room based on his suggestions. Almost overnight, I started feeling better. I had been severely bullied, depressed, withdrawn—and suddenly I had friends. Joy returned. It was remarkable.

So, at 31, I decided to study Feng Shui formally with a grandmaster in Malaysia. I began to see that many spiritual seekers, even after awakening, were struggling to sustain that higher state. Their homes were not aligned with their energy. Their spaces were not supporting their transformation.

That’s what Feng Shui truly is—an energetic system developed in ancient China. Just as acupuncture brings alignment to the body, Feng Shui aligns the space you live and work in. It raises the vibration of your environment so that you can remain in harmony and hold onto the awakening that your soul has called in.

I began implementing Feng Shui for my spiritual students. And then, at age 38, I knew—if I stayed in Belgium, I would never reach the millions I was meant to serve. This was before the days of the internet and social media. I had no idea how it would work. But I listened to the call, and I immigrated to the United States.

And right away, people found me.

There was no marketing. It was all word of mouth. Suddenly, I became the spiritual mentor and Feng Shui Master to people like Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, Marianne Williamson, John Gray, and many more. I began guiding them—supporting them with meditations, Feng Shui, intuitive insights, and energetic healing whenever they felt blocked.

That’s how I became part of the Transformational Leadership Council, which Jack Canfield had created. Though the wider public didn’t know me yet, many of the great transformational leaders already did. I was working behind the scenes—helping them go to their next level.

And then came the film The Secret.

It was filmed during one of our TLC meetings, and I was invited to be part of it. That’s when the world discovered me—as the only Western European featured in The Secret. And from that moment on, the mission that had been whispered to me in the light—to enlighten more than 500 million people—began to unfold.

That’s truly when my connection with the Divine began guiding me on a whole new level—to reach those more than 500 million souls I was shown so many years ago. And that journey has continued, one step at a time, as I’ve shared teachings on spiritualitymanifestationFeng Shuidowsing, and how to truly live in harmony with the Universe.

Today, I feel so grateful and humbled to have over 2 million online students learning directly with me in my own programs. And beyond that, millions more have discovered my work through platforms like The SecretMindvalley, and so many platforms. But for me, it has never been about fame or numbers—it has always been about one simple question I ask every single morning:

“How can I be of service today?”
That is my prayer. That is my path.

Every day, I ask the Universe, “Show me how I can enlighten millions of people. Show me how.”
And there’s one more request I make with all my heart:
“Teach me how to love more. Show me how I can love even more deeply.”

These two questions—how to serve, and how to love—have become the compass of my life. They have guided me through 30 years of spiritual experience, and they continue to lead me in everything I do.

It’s a long story… but really, it’s a story about light, love, and purpose. And it’s still unfolding.

Marie Diamond - Awakened Magazine

You mentioned challenges in promoting The Secret. Could you share how you helped Rhonda Byrne expand its reach?

Marie Diamond: It was quite extraordinary how I came to be part of The Secret. You know, more than 70 people were interviewed for the film, and ultimately, I was chosen as one of the featured teachers. And here’s the thing—I had placed that exact intention on my vision board in 2001. I wrote down that I would be in a movie that would be seen by millions of people and would help transform the world. At the time, I had no idea how or when—it was just a clear download, a knowing from within that it would happen. And it did.

As I became friends with Rhonda Byrne, the visionary behind The Secret, I witnessed firsthand her passion and her own transformational journey. At one point, she was preparing to release the film on a television channel in Australia. It was originally a movie before it ever became a book, and she was so excited. Then, one day, she called me, quite discouraged. The network had refused to air it, saying it was too far beyond what they were comfortable sharing. She was devastated. “I’ve printed 3,000 DVDs,” she said, “and now I don’t know what to do. It feels like The Secret isn’t working for me.”

I asked her, “Tell me, what are the two things you truly want?”
She replied, “I want to bring joy to billions of people.”
I said, “Beautiful. And the second?”
She said, “I want people to share the DVD with their friends and family, so it spreads organically.”
I smiled and said, “Okay… now we can work with that.”

I visited her in her apartment in Los Angeles and immediately noticed the Feng Shui was off. I asked, “What else do you want?”
She said, “I want to be interviewed by Oprah.”
So I said, “Let’s put an image of Oprah in the correct spot in your space.” We aligned her home energetically to support her vision.

Half of the people in The Secret were my clients at that time, so I reached out and guided them to make some Feng Shui adjustments too—each of them aligning their spaces to uplift and support the energy of the film’s release. Then I told Rhonda, “You’ve got 3,000 DVDs. Why not start by giving them away?”

She sent out 100 copies to the other 24 teachers. She had 600 left, and I said, “Let’s take to the streets. Let’s walk around LA and Beverly Hills, and when we see someone who looks like they need The Secret, we give them a DVD.”
She looked at me and said, “Marie, this is all the money I have. Everything is in these DVDs.”
And I said to her gently, “Do you trust the Universe? Because this is your moment to live the Law of Attraction.”

So she said yes. We gave away those DVDs. Her teachers gave them to their students. We passed them hand to hand, heart to heart.

And then… within a month, everything changed. People who had received the DVDs started contacting her company. They wanted to buy more—to share them with their friends and clients. Sales began flowing in again. The ripple effect was real. The Law of Generosity had taken hold.

Over the years, I’ve travelled to more than 40 countries to speak about The Secret and the Law of Attraction, and every time I ask people, “How did you discover it?” they say, “A friend gave it to me,” or “I was gifted the book,” or “I received the DVD.” It was never about a massive marketing campaign. It was always about energy—about trust—about flow.

People often think The Secret was launched by some giant publicity machine, but truly, it was the power of generosity, of alignment, and of faith in the Universe. That’s what made The Secret what it became.

How did your personal life and service change after being involved in The Secret?

Marie Daimond: Well, I have to be completely honest… I wasn’t ready for the reaction that came after The Secret was released. At that point, I barely had a website. I had no team. I was just one woman following my inner guidance, doing what I had always done—teaching, healing, and meditating. And then suddenly, the world knew my name.

It was overwhelming—but also beautiful.

What I did know deep inside was that I could trust the unfolding. That was always my anchor. Very quickly, I attracted a wonderful publisher who helped me launch one of my first online courses in manifestation and homesteading. And then the right people began appearing. The Universe provided.

I remember walking down the street or being at an event, and people would recognize me. And for me, that was never about being “famous.” It was about presence. If someone came to me, I stopped. I took a moment. I really listened. Because I always felt that if the Universe placed someone in front of me, it was for a reason—and that meant I had to be of service in that moment.

I never saw myself as a celebrity or as “the star” of a film. I stayed grounded in my purpose: Marie is here to enlighten people. To hold space. To meet them where they are. That’s who I am.

As my work expanded, more and more people started studying with me. But I have to say—there was never a marketing plan. I never pushed. I never chased. I simply followed my heart. I focused on what I was being asked to do by the Divine, by God, by the Universe. And from that alignment, everything else came to me.

Today, I am so grateful to be a global bestselling author, and my work is known in  190 countries. And yet—I feel I’ve never changed. I’m still Marie. My heart has simply expanded so that I could hold more people in that field of love and transformation.

People who’ve known me for a long time will often say, “You’re still the same.” And I think that’s true. The essence is the same, even as the reach has grown.

And one of the greatest joys of my life has been witnessing the awakening of my students. I’ve watched people who were once deeply lost or in pain step into their power. I’ve seen families transform—where there was once tension and struggle, now there is harmony. Couples reconnect. Children blossom. And all of that… because someone brought Feng Shui or energy alignment or meditation into their home.

That’s the part that fills me with the most gratitude. Not just the public recognition, but the quiet transformations happening in living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms—all over the world. That ripple of light, that’s what keeps me doing this work, every single day.

Marie Diamond - Awakened Magazine

Can you explain Feng Shui and share some basics that could help someone improve their home energy this week?

Marie Diamond: First of all, let’s be clear—Feng Shui is an energy system. Just like acupuncture works with the energy pathways of your body, Feng Shui works with the energy field around your body—your environment. It’s the energy of the space where you live, sleep, and work. And whether people realize it or not, they are already sensing it.

Think about it: You walk into a room in your house and it feels heavy or stagnant. Your first instinct is, “I need to open a window,” or “I don’t like this color anymore, I need to change something.” Or you go to a restaurant where the food is amazing, but something feels “off,” and you don’t want to return. Meanwhile, another place may have basic décor, but you want to stay for hours because the energy is just… right.

We all sense energy. We’re energetic beings. Most people simply don’t know that there is a whole system—a very ancient and powerful one—behind that energy. And that you can actually direct it to support you. That’s what Feng Shui does.

When I began bringing Feng Shui into the world more publicly, I knew one of my roles was to make it mainstream, accessible. That’s why I created a television series on Tubi (a FOX streaming platform), dedicated to teaching people how to transform their homes and lives through energy. Because it’s time this wisdom became available to everyone.

One of the key things I teach is to become aware of the space that surrounds you. In The Secret, we speak about making vision boards. But what if—what if—your home was your vision board?

Every single thing in your environment—your artwork, your furniture, the colors, the plants, the crystals—every object holds energy. If placed in the right direction, those objects can support the life you want to create. They don’t just reflect your current reality… they help you shape your future one.

So I invite people to do a kind of spiritual audit of their home. I always ask two simple but powerful questions:

  1. Is this home who I am right now?
  2. Is this home who I want to become?

Walk around your home with those questions. Look at every room.

Let’s say you’re single and you’re longing for a relationship. But your home is filled with images of solitude—art of a woman walking alone, or a man sitting alone, or single plants or lonely décor. Yes, that might reflect who you are at this moment. But is it aligned with who you want to become? If you want partnership, love, or family, then your home needs to reflect that intention.

Or perhaps you look around your workspace and realize everything there is tied to your old job, or it’s cluttered and chaotic. That’s energy that speaks to the past, to limitation, to scarcity. Clutter is a form of poverty consciousness—it blocks flow. So I ask: is this space aligned with a vision of abundance, clarity, and creativity? Could you bring in new images, inspirational books, or even just declutter? Would that feel more like who you are becoming?

Start with the space where you spend the most time—often, these days, that’s you home workspace. Whether it’s a designated office or the corner of your dining room, look around and ask yourself:
Does this space reflect my highest potential? My soul’s vision? My next level?

That’s where Feng Shui begins—not with superstition or complicated rituals, but with conscious awarenessintentional placement, and the willingness to align your outer world with your inner truth.

One of the most powerful things you can do is to surround yourself with visual reminders of your leadership and accomplishments. This is not about ego—it’s about energy. So, place your books, your certificates, your awards, your products—anything that reflects your impact—around you. Don’t hide them away in a drawer. Your subconscious mind is constantly reading the energy of your space, and it needs to be reminded of who you are becoming.

And if you’re in your bedroom, take a moment to check what’s hanging above your headboard. Is it romantic? Is it peaceful? Or are you waking up and the first thing you see is clutter—shoes on the floor, clothes piled up? That energy affects your health, your mood, your relationships.

This is where Feng Shui becomes very practical. Let me give you something you can change right now.

Many people have spiky plants around them—especially in their workspace, on their screen, or even in their podcast background. What they don’t realize is that spiky plants and sharp objects create cutting energy. In Feng Shui, we call it “Sha Chi,” which is negative, attacking energy. If you surround yourself with that, you may find that people are more critical of you. You may even find you’re more critical of yourself.

Instead, choose plants that have soft, round leaves—like an orchid or a jade plant. Plants with curved or circular shapes promote flow, ease, and harmony. I’ve had many people update their setup—especially podcasters and speakers—and afterward, they tell me, “Marie, everything feels better. My energy shifted. Even my audience shifted.”

Now, let’s go a step deeper.

Your personal energy field is also connected to four power directions that are specific to your birthdate. Just as you have a fingerprint, you have a unique energetic blueprint. That’s why I created the Marie Diamond app—it’s free and available on the App Store and Google Play. You simply enter your birthday and birth gender, and it calculates your Energy Number, which ranges between 1 and 9.

This is not numerology—it’s a unique Feng Shui system that determines which directions are most aligned with your soul’s path.

Once you know your Energy Number, the app shows you your four most powerful directions:

  • Success
  • Relationships
  • Health
  • Wisdom

It’s like holding a compass made just for your soul.

You can stand in the center of your home, office, or bedroom, and use the Diamond Compass to find these four directions. You’ll also see there are four directions that are empty for you—directions where your energy is not supported. These are not harmful, but they simply don’t help you activate your purpose.

But when you align with your power directions, magic happens. Your energy rises. Your manifestations accelerate. Your awakened state becomes more stable and accessible.

For example, my success direction is Southwest. And interestingly, I now live in the Southwest of the United States. I didn’t plan that with my mind—it aligned energetically.

In my office, I’ve placed my booksvision boardscontracts, and goals in my success direction—even though I don’t face it directly. It’s still activated. It’s still aligning with my spirit, body, and environment.

This is what I teach in my book, Your Home is a Vision Board. Just like acupuncture heals the energy lines of your body, Feng Shui activates the energy flow of your space—based on your birth energy.

So don’t underestimate what surrounds you. Your home isn’t just where you live—it’s where your future is being shaped every single day.

Marie Diamond - Awakened Magazine

In Your Home Is A Vision Board, you describe three types of luck. Can you briefly walk us through them?

Marie Diamond: One of the most transformative teachings my Grandmaster ever shared with me was that there are three kinds of luck that shape your destiny. And if you truly want to manifest your dreams and fulfill your soul’s purpose, you must understand and work with all three.

He told me, “Most people in the personal development world are focused primarily on the mindset—the power of positive thinking, affirmations, visualization. And in the spiritual or religious world, the focus is often on connection with the Divine, with Spirit, with God.” That’s beautiful, but he reminded me—there’s more to the picture.

He taught that these three types of luck—Heavenly Luck, Human Luck, and Earth Luck—each account for about 33.3% of your life’s outcomes. Not one piece is everything. Even karma is not absolute. You have a path, yes, but you also have free will.

Let’s begin with Heavenly Luck, or what I often call Spiritual Luck. This is your soul’s blueprint, the divine plan you were born with. You came into this world with certain gifts, certain lessons, and a higher purpose. Some call this karma, some call it destiny, others dharma. For example, I was born with a talent to teach. That’s a gift from above. Singing, however, is not my talent! (laughs) The key is to use those gifts—not bury them.

So part of your journey is to unfold that divine potential. And in doing so, you align with your Heavenly Luck.

The second layer is what we call Human Luck. This is your mindset, your habits, your behavior, your willingness to take inspired action. It’s what you do with your gifts—how you show up, how you serve others, how you grow and stretch beyond fear. It’s also the people you surround yourself with, the books you read, the practices you commit to. Human Luck is what you do with what you’ve been given.

This is also where the “action” in the Law of Attraction comes in. Manifestation isn’t just about vision boards—it’s about momentum. You cannot sit and wait for the plan to unfold. You must move with it, every day, trusting and acting in alignment with it.

And then there is Earth Luck—which is where Feng Shui comes in. This is your environment, the energy of the spaces you live, sleep and work in. Earth Luck is often overlooked, yet it’s essential. As Napoleon Hill said in Think and Grow Rich, “Location is everything.” And I remember discussing this with my dear friend, the late Bob Proctor. He said, “Marie, it’s not just the location—it’s also how that location feels.”

That’s the heart of Feng Shui. You could have the right business idea, but if you open your restaurant in the middle of the desert, it won’t work. You need peopleflowvibrancy. But even if you’re in the right location—if the space has negative energy, poor lighting, the wrong colors, clutter, or emotional residue—it won’t support you.

Feng Shui brings your environment into harmony with your destiny.

And the origins of this wisdom go far back. The first Feng Shui masters were the shamans and healers of ancient China. They didn’t use compasses at first—they looked to nature. They observed the wind, the sunlight, the slopes of the land. Just like the farmers in my own country, who would plant high trees to the north to block cold wind, or hedges to the east for protection, and make sure the southern sun could warm their fields—these early wisdom keepers knew how to listen to the Earth.

This became the foundation of what we now call Landscape Feng Shui. Instead of just looking at trees, they looked at mountains. Was there a hill in the north to block harsh winds? Was the south open for the sun to shine in? These were the original, practical tools of survival—but also of prosperity and balance.

Over time, with the invention of the compass, the system evolved into something even more precise. Feng Shui became a mathematical art, rooted in the Five Elements used in Traditional Chinese Medicine—Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal.

As a Classical Feng Shui Master, I’ve studied how every degree on the compass has a different energetic outcome—not just spatially, but also in time. The moment you enter a home, the direction you sit, the hour you are born—all of these carry influence. Advanced Feng Shui is a system of formulas, patterns, and timing—as precise and complex as any scientific system.

But at its heart, Feng Shui is still about alignment. Alignment with the Earth, with your body, with your spirit, and with your divine purpose.

So, when you combine these three types of luck—your spiritual blueprint, your daily actions, and your physical environment—you create a life that is truly in flow. That’s when manifestation becomes not just possible, but inevitable.

I’d love to hear about your first vision board and how it impacted your life.

Marie Diamond: You know, my very first vision board was actually a vision wall. I created it in my bedroom as a teenager, and looking back, it was the beginning of something truly magical. I didn’t grow up in a family that traveled—we were modest, and traveling beyond our own country just wasn’t something we could afford. But in my heart, I longed to see the world.

So I filled that wall with images—Paris, LondonAmerica—all the places I dreamed of visiting. It wasn’t just about geography; it was about expansion. I wanted to experience life beyond borders. I would look at that wall every day and say to myself, “One day, I’ll go there.” And I did. Today, I’ve traveled to more than 50 countries, teaching, sharing, and serving. That dream? Check. Manifested.

But there was one image that carried a very special energy.

As a child, I used to watch a television series called Daktari. It was about a veterinary clinic in Africa, and there was a woman who worked with a lion named Clarence—a cross-eyed lion, actually. I was mesmerized. I thought, “She is the most courageous woman I’ve ever seen.” She wasn’t afraid. She was walking side-by-side with lions. That image stayed with me. So I cut out a picture of her and the lion and added it to my vision wall.

And every time I looked at it, I would whisper to the Universe, “One day, I’m going to meet her.” I didn’t know how. I didn’t know when. But I believed it. I visualized it, I daydreamed, I imagined the moment—it became part of me.

Fast forward 35 years, to 2005. I was living in San Diego at the time and had been invited to speak at a charity event for Africa. After my talk, a man approached me. He said, “Marie, I’d love to introduce you to my wife. Here’s her book.” I looked at the cover—and there she was. The woman with the lion.

My nine-year-old self was overwhelmed. I actually started to cry. I looked at him and said, “Is this your wife?” And he smiled and said, “Yes. She’s been following your work for years. We do your meditations. She’s a big fan.”

I asked, “Is she here?”
“Yes,” he said.
“How have I never met her before?”
“Well,” he said, “we’ve just moved here. We were living in Africa until six months ago. You couldn’t have met her before. But now… the time is right.”

We met that day, and it was a heartfelt connection. She was ill at the time, and we stayed in close contact for several months before she passed. But what touched me most was discovering that she was never actually an actress. She had been the animal handler on the set. The original actress refused to walk with the lion—but she stepped in. She became the woman on the screen who inspired me. And that, to me, was a deeper message about courage, about destiny, about how the Universe orchestrates things far beyond what we can imagine.

Because here’s what I know:
The Universe doesn’t forget.
God doesn’t forget.
Every intention you place—every image, every prayer, every dream you pin to your vision board—is remembered. It took me 35 years to meet the woman with the lion, but when the time was right, the universe made it happen.

And that, to me, is one of the sweetest and most sacred stories I’ve experienced with visioning. Because it wasn’t just about manifesting a meeting. It was about seeing that nothing is lost in the energetic field. It’s all working its way to you—in divine timing.

Marie Diamond - Awakened Magazine

You offer courses on Feng Shui, manifesting, dowsing, and meditation. Can you tell us a bit about them and which might be best for our listeners?

Marie Diamond: In my work, I often describe four beautiful pathways of transformation that people can journey through with me. Each one offers a different entry point into raising your vibration, aligning with your purpose, and manifesting your dreams.

For some, the path begins with Feng Shui. That’s often the first doorway. Many people start by downloading the Marie Diamond App, discovering their Energy Number, and reading my book Your Home is a Vision Board. From there, some feel called to go deeper and join one of our certification programs to become a Feng Shui practitioner. This path is perfect for coaches, healers, or anyone who wants to serve others by aligning their environments with abundance, harmony, and well-being.

But over time, I realized that Feng Shui alone wasn’t enough. The ancient Feng Shui masters didn’t just work with the space—they also worked with the energy beneath the surface. That’s where Dowsing comes in.

Dowsing originally began as a way to locate underground water, and I work with a system that has roots in Egyptian energetic science. But we go far beyond water—we locate frequencies. We detect and shift energy patterns caused by underground water veins, electrical interference, or ley lines. Using special tools—what I call the acupuncture needles of the Earth—we raise the vibration of your space to a much higher frequency.

In fact, I’m one of the very few, if not the only, Feng Shui Masters in the world who combines both classical Feng Shui and energetic Dowsing in one unified system.

Then there’s the Inner Diamond Meditation path. This is where I began—as a spiritual teacher. I always weave meditation into my Feng Shui and Dowsing teachings because it’s essential that the work we do comes not from ego but from soul frequency. From the Light.

So many of my students are drawn to the meditation track, not just for energy alignment, but for deep healing, clarity, and connection to their soul mission.

And then, in the last few years—especially through my work with Mindvalley—I’ve been recognized as one of the world’s leading voices in Manifestation. That’s the new language for Law of Attraction, especially for younger generations who are waking up to their creative power.

From that, we created the Marie Diamond Manifestation Club, where I meet with members every month to help them accelerate the manifestation of their dreams. It’s joyful, powerful, and very practical.

These are the four main tracks people can study with me:

  1. Feng Shui – Aligning your space for success, health, love, and wisdom
  2. Dowsing – Raising the vibration of your home and land
  3. Inner Diamond Meditation – Connecting to your highest spiritual frequency
  4. Manifestation Mastery – Turning your intentions into reality

Many begin on one path—and then find themselves naturally expanding into another. It’s like discovering that all four pathways are interwoven, each one amplifying the others. And ultimately, they all lead to the same goal: living your highest potential, in alignment with the Universe, from a place of service and light.

If someone is struggling with lack—whether it’s love, energy, money, or health—what advice would you give them?

Marie Diamond:

I’ve been there. Truly. My first company went bankrupt, and there were moments in my younger years when I was even homeless. So I know deeply what it feels like to live in lack—even while already being on a spiritual path. Yes, I was awakened… but I was still learning how to receive.

What helped me rise again—over and over—are three foundational principles that I still return to whenever there’s a lack of flow or abundance. They’ve carried me through every dark moment, and I want to share them with you.

  1. Fill yourself with gratitude.

This is the first step. No matter how little you think you have—start there. Do you have a roof over your head? Do you have someone in your life who loves you? Do you have breath in your lungs? Then give thanks.

Bless everything. Bless your home, your food, your body. And bless what you don’t yet have but is on the way. I would say out loud, “Thank you, Universe. I bless what I have, and I bless what is coming.”

Even when I felt like I had nothing, I would bless the sun, the fresh air, and say thank you for the tiniest things. That’s how I started to shift my frequency and open to the flow of blessings.

  1. Let go of what no longer serves you.

Sometimes what blocks abundance isn’t on the outside—it’s inside. It’s the self-judgment, the blame, the guilt for mistakes you’ve made. But these emotions only hold you back. So I invite you to forgive.

One of the most powerful practices I teach is writing a forgiveness letter—to yourself, to others, to the past. Write it all out, release it with love, and then burn the letter. Offer it back to God, to the Universe, and say, “This no longer serves me. I let it go.”

Forgiveness clears the channel. It makes space for the new.

  1. Clear your physical space and give generously.

Energy cannot flow in a cluttered space. If you’re holding onto too many things, that creates stagnation. Go to your closet, your drawers, your office, your inbox—and let go. Donate what you no longer use. Give it away. Create space.

If you feel like you have nothing material to give, then give your time. There’s always someone who needs help. A neighbor, a local organization, a friend in need. Even a smile or a kind word is an act of generosity.

When I had very little, I would give my time to support others. That generosity created a wave of energy that always came back to me.

These three principles—gratitude, forgiveness, and generosity—have been my anchors every time life felt stuck. They are simple, but they are powerful. Every time I return to them, abundance starts flowing again.

Because the truth is: you are never alone, and the Universe never forgets the energy you send out. Bless it. Clear it. Give it. And watch how life opens up in ways you never imagined.

Marie, thank you for all that you’re doing in the world! I encourage everyone to check out your book, Your Home Is A Vision Board and visit MarieDiamond.com to get more information. It’s been great to be with you.

"The first thing is you need to fill up yourself with gratitude. Be grateful for the things you do have; perhaps you have a home, perhaps you have a family, perhaps you have a job. Be grateful and express that every time, every day, and bless it. Even bless already the things you don't have, but that is coming.""
